  1. We should go after to Iggy to replace Childress. Philly seems intent on letting Iguodala walk if he receives a big offer. We should focus on Iggy instead of Childress. Igg would flourish with our team since he would no longer have to be the number 1 options. This would be the line up: bibby Iggy JJ Smoove Hortford (Marvin off the Bench). Marvin would finally be the go to guy with the second unit which would increase his scoring.
  2. Marvin will not be traded as long as Mike Gearon Jr. is a owner of the team. Mike Jr and Dominique or obsessed with Marvin's talent. Go to any old ajc podcasts and articles and listen to them talk about Marvin. He will be a keeper under the current ownership.
  3. What if the ASG has determined that Marvin and Hortford are the small and power forwards of the future? The money for the joshes could be used on Elton or Baron Davis or Smoove could be used in a sign and trade for Dalembert. We sometimes forget that having a duplication of talent is harmful in the long run. Marvin could be a 20 and 10 player without competing with the Joshes.
  4. Low first round draft picks are cheap. We would basically swapping salaries with Salim (assuming that he is released or traded)
  5. I am pretty sure that teams like PHoenix, Dallas, Lakers, etc. will probally try to sale thier draft pick this June. I can see the ASG and Billy buying a low first round pick to add depth to the bench.
  6. You are in denial my friend. You can complain and waste time on this message board, but there will be no major moves until this team is sold. They needed mulitple partners to buy the team and now thay are splintered and tied up in litigation. Stop being a fan and become a realist.
  7. Anytime you have an ownership that fires the CFO and CEO due to financial reason (e.g. save money) it is clear that we are broke. We have no money to acquire players through trades. That is why there hasn't been the slightest rumor of a Hawks trade. Management told us during the summer that the only additions would be draft pick. Get over the Gasol trade
  8. In the majority of those games Woody does not run plays for Josh and continue to force feed Joe when he is cold.
  9. JJ is the leading scorer but it is clear that Josh is now the franchise. He is the Hawks best overall Player when you consider defense and offense. He brings passion to the floor which ignites other players. Marvin was in a slump last night but Josh set him up with some easy assists to get his game going. After a couple of dunks, Marvin got going and had a solid night going for 20. JJ does not have the ability to motivate his team or make them better. He is just not that type of dude.
  10. Woody stated that he felt that the players were back into a groove.
  11. Here are the highlights from Woody's interview this morning: 1. He feels that the five game loosing streak could have been a result of the long layoff between games. The streak started over the Christmas Hollidays. He stated that the Hawks are better when they practice everyday. 2. Stated that BK was out scouting but felt that he and BK would meet in a couple of weeks to discuss any future trades. 3. Woody is very high on Josh Smith, Josh Childress, and Marvin Williams. He stated that they win games when all three are scoring well and can win most games when only two of the three or playing well. 4. He stated that Joe Johnson is an allstar but not an elite player like Kobe. Woody said that Joe is still maturing into a go to player that can take over games with his scoring. He explained that Joe was always the second and third option with Boston and Phoenix prior to being traded to the Hawks. Woody mention that Joe is only 26 and has the potential to turn into a Kobe. 5. Woody believes that they will make the playoffs if they play 500 ball.
  12. Atlanta has enough young vets (Marvin, Chils, and Josh) to step to Noah if he gets out of hand. Luol, Henirch, nor Gordon did not have the guts to stand up to Noah. They took the punk route by having a close door meeting to have kid off the team. It has been documented, rumor or no rumor, that certain hawks will slam you in the locker room (e.g. Josh vs. ZaZa) if you step out of pocket.
  13. Whenever a team votes for a player to sit, then Chicago has to listen to any offers.
  14. I think that this trade would work for both parties. Noah fits the athletic mold of the hawks. He already has great chemistry with Horford and would add shot blocking, rebounding, and energy off the bench. ZaZa would give the Bull the offensive big man that they desparetly need. Right now Tyrus Thomas and Noah are a duplication. After watching Noah's expression during the game,he appeared pist at his teammates. There is terrible lockeroom chemistry in Chicago. Currently, ZaZa is in the doghouse here and will never get his starting job back over Hortford. Billy needs to make that call
  15. IF JJ's shot is not falling he is totally useless on offense. At least Marvin is willing to go to the block and bang in order to go to the free throw line to generate offense. It seems that JJ is begging for a point guard or big man to open up the floor for his game. That would be great but he is payed to be super star like Kobe. He needs to try other things to take over a game when his shot is not falling. J SMith and Marvin are doing this night in and out. J SMith by blocking shots or getting steals and Marvin by going to the free throw line. People hate on Marvin on this board but he and Josh are acting more like a superstar than JJ
