  1. The one game I watched of Payton he was pretty good. I think he may slip into the lottery and I feel if he's there at #15 he's the BPA. The kid has gradually gotten better and against Baylor he almost put up a triple double. I actually feel the kid could be the next Deron Williams. I'd love to take him, he just needs to work on shooting. May not be our strongest need but we can fill those needs through FA.

  2. I think LaVine is gone by 15. Hope I'm wrong.

You won't be. I honestly see him going top 12 maybe even top 10. I also think that Bud/ferry like Dennis a lot and once he learns a better grasp of the NBA he'll be a pretty good player. I like some things I've seen from him and he is a true point which is hard to find these days.

  3. We'd have to get pick #8 if we were to target Lavine. I love Lavine's upside but the guy is raw and Bud won't play a guy like Lavine except in mop up duties. I think we should stick at #15 and snag Cleanthony, the guy gives us exactly what we need to compliment DMC. To me Cleanthony is a very good player who still has some upside. Too many positives for me to name that make me believe Early could be a Paul George lite.

  4. Nice read. I'd feel much more confident about Parson's if he showed me one more year. I would only like Asik on a very good deal.

??? Parsons had the exact same stats in '12-13 as he did in '13-'14 but had a slightly higher FG% in '12-'13.

  5. I haven't followed college ball this past season so I don't know the players and it's too late to play catch up. I do agree with DF's sentiment.

Extremely gifted athlete from UCLA. He's a freshmen and he's raw. Not a big fan of his shot but the kid is about as good of an athlete as it get's. 6'5-6'6 and has a ton of potential. He is almost 6'6 so I guess he could play the 3 but he's also rather thin and seems to be a better fit at G,IMO.

  6. This Kyle anderson love makes me cringe. If we make that choice it will make the list of worst hawks selections ever. There are surer better players in the draft.

This kid playing the 4 is absolutely laughable. I watched a lot of ucla alllll season long and if take adams over him.

No, that belongs to Ed Gray, Rashawn McCleod and numerous other Babcock selections.

I know we may not need another PF but this guy has a ton of upside and "could" be the next Ibaka. Obviously very raw on offense and in BBall in general but he's a top notch athlete that could be a great defender/rebounder.

  8. Obviously Korver doesn't do well to create shots for himself but they need to run more screens for him. There have been several players in the NBA who couldn't create for them self and were still very productive scorers. Even when korver has someone in his face he's so deadly that he still makes those shots. Yes he makes a great deal of shots but some of the 3's he takes just make no sense yet he routinely makes them.

  9. shooting more? I noticed he only had 6 attempts last night while DMC had 14? There should never be a game where DMC has more shot attempts than Korver. The reason we lost the Knicks game is when Korver got hot we stopped feeding him the ball while Horford shot an ugly jump shot where he just kept with that terrible jab step for like 7 seconds that no one will bite on. Korver is shooting 55% and for a jump shooter that is insane. Korver is starting to become one of the all time best shooters in NBA history. He may not be great in other areas but no one can deny the assassin like shooter that he is. Korver needs more shots and the coaching staff needs to figure out ways to get him those shots.

  10. I like his game he's a star

As much upside as Wiggins has I'd be hard pressed o not make him the #1 pick if I'm a GM. He has it all and is very mature on the court. There's nothing this guy can't do and he's immediate impact player for whatever team is lucky enough to draft him. I'm more than impressed with Parker's game.

  11. So what this team needs is a guy hoisting up 23 shots a night? Sure.

Rudy Gay should never be mentioned for anything. He's just not a smart player but has a ton of talent that will jack 20+ shots every game. I do agree DMC is not starter material nor is Cartier Martin. DMC is a good player if he's your 7th or 8th guy off the bench but his offensive game is just atrocious.

  12. The T-Wolves and GS are two teams I watch if they are on TV. Great young players and are fun to watch. Honestly I don't know what Ferry's plan is. Yes he got rid of Joe Johnson which i applaud but what direction are we headed? I just am not seeing what the master plan is for the Hawks.

  13. Free-Throws killed us. We win this game easily if we just shoot 70% from the FT.

Teague is not nor ever will be a legit PG.

Dennis has some great signs of being a legit PG he just needs to learn how to play under control but it's only game three of his career.

Rebounding is pretty bad. Horford's numbers look good but getting owned by Jordan Hill in the last couple minutes is bad.

Milsap is a solid player but nothing special.

Korver should have shot the ball 20x last night because he was unbelievable
