    1) We could match (I prefer this option)

    2) They give us Biedrins and change for him

    Either way, we are fine.

I'm not so sure we could make a trade if he signs their offer sheet. And they can resign Biedrins even if they sign Smoove...

    Easy solution to that problem.

We tell them if they don't give us Biedrins/whatever other pieces we want, then we are going to match the offer.

And if they don't agree, then match the offer.

Biedrins is a better rebounder though, on both sides of the ball. I see that being the point of primary advantage.

Actually, he is not a better defensive rebounder than Smith.

    How do you figure that?

In less MPG, Biedrins got 6.4 rpg defensively compared to Smoove's 6.2....

  3. Baron is a top 4 PG in the league, and ever since he lost weight, he has been healthy.

Biedrins is a VERY good defender at the 5.

Josh Smith is my favorite player, but Al Horford is going to end up being consistently better at the 4.

    Baron/Law

    JJ/ Richardson

    Marvin/Chillz

    Horford/FA big??

    Biedrins/Zaza

That is not only one of the best teams in the EC, but one of the better teams in the league.

If Marvin learned to shoot 3's we'd be golden.

Can someone please explain to me why Chicago would want Bibby when they're trying to get rid of their guards in Gordon and Hinrich? It seems like a lateral move IMO. Does the contract of Bibby really help the Bulls out that much?

Bibby's 15M contract expires at the end of this year.

Gives Rose one year to really learn the ropes, then they would have a ton of cap room.

Kirk Hinrich isnt that good. If Bibby is healthy Bibby > Hinrich. If the Bulls had any faith in Hinrich they would have taken the best player in the draft Beasly.

exactly. He didn't even play PG most of the time in Chicage.Duhon started alot.I'd get Duhon before Hinrich.Hinrich is an undersized SG.

    Duhon only started 18 games.

Hinrich started 72 of the 75 games he played in.

Hinrich>Bibby in all facets of the game, except maybe driving to the basket.

  6. Some form of Bibby for Hinrich needs to happen.

Also for the Acie lovers, Hinrich can play some SG too...Law will still get his minutes.

Hell, I'd even be down for starting a Law/Hinrich backcourt and moving JJ to SF...Trade Marvin for a big.

    Marvin/2010 1st for Lamarcus Aldridge

  7. I would then see if we could trade Bibby straight up for any of these players (his expiring contract has to be real attractive).

    - Kirk Hinrich

    - Chauncey Billups

    - Jose Calderon

    - Raymond Felton

    - Baron Davis

Dang we would be nasty with that team.

Marvin/Zaza/2009 1st round pick for Artest/ Brad Miller

    Bibby/Law

    JJ/Richardson

    Artest/Chillz

    Smoove/Horford

    Miller/Horford

That's not going to work Salary wise.

    Surprisingly, that would work???

I just don't know about giving up the 2010 1st (not 2009 illegal)... and taking on Artest.

It gives us a bit of a logjam at PF with Horford and Smoove, but I think Horford could play a little back-up Center also.

Getting Artest would give us a SF that can score with the best of them, is a great defender, and can shoot the 3...Exactly what we need from that position.

Or the ASG forced Sund to keep Woody.sturt doesn't believe that. I just wanted to show how determined he is to avoid reality. There is no way both BK and Sund were right on Woody but sturt simply can't bring himself to say one of them is wrong. My point is, maybe it wasn't Sund that decided to keep Woody...I'd actually say there is a really big chance it wasn't his choice. So we can't attribute this extension offer to him.

Which of these two statements is true;1) BK was wrong for trying to fire Woody. 2) Sund is wrong for hiring Woody. You can pick only one. *waits for inevitable dodge*Or the ASG forced Sund to keep Woody. It's very possible that they want to give the public the facade that Sund has all the power so that we as fans don't lash out at them for being overly controlling. Obviously these decisions should be up to people with applicable basketball knowledge (GM's), not owners.I bet they wouldn't want us to know if they made Sund retain him...And that is what I think happened.
