  1. I missed the Cleveland game.

But man, i must say our starting lineup is playing with little energy, just looking to sneak one out. We should be blowing away this team.

Horford is good at cleaning up and getting easy points, i think you gotta feature him in a pick n roll mismatch type of set, where defenders are rotating off him and he gets a moving start.

Williams is in the backseat on offense, i gotta say it has alot to do with the Joe/Bibby iso plays. They just take turns passing to each other off weakside picks and curls. They need to add wrinkles to it to get an open big man off the weakside picks for the curl man etc.

Really, they got to wake up out of this stupor of matching effort and get that kill instinct on. But it seems like only Smoove and Horford have that "im going to attack you or deny you" attitude all the time?

  2. Miami got the beatdown last night...(queue Kanyes "Heartless")

If tech doesnt turn it over and their line gets to the linebackers like they did against miami...its gonna be a shootout in Athens. I pray Richt is emphasizing tackling and special teams play along with Martinez working out the proper assignments.

Looked like Dwyer tweeked his knee though.

  3. I think we already hit some statistic like that, here it is from espn daily dime yesterday night.

With a loss to the Pacers on Tuesday, the Hawks have lost four straight after starting the season 6-0. The only other team in NBA history to win at least six in a row to start a season immediately followed by a losing streak of four or more games was the Philadelphia Warriors in 1960. They won their first nine games and then lost four straight.

We gotta drive and draw fouls, the open jumper and spacing will be there all night. Also make sure to not allow other wizards outside of jamison/butler to get going like stevenson/young.

Joe/Marvin looking to have great statistical nights along with butler/jamison.

Looks like Pachulias shoulder patch doesnt have the magical effect Jamal Crawford's does! I think we are playing him out of necessity.

  4. We have Horford day to day, out tonight. Smith is out.

Washington has Haywood and Arenas out. Daniels is day to day

Their big's haven't been producing for them and their scoring has revolved around Butler/Jamison and Young off the bench. McGee has been somewhat exciting to watch off the bench with his atheleticism.

Lets see if the hawks wake up from their defensive stupor.

  5. Its like i mentioned before, he seems to bring all the things we wanted out of salim the past few years. Then again, hes been in the league for that much more time...hes playing kinda like mini joe at times with his dribble drive. But yah, i think we all have that fear in the back of our minds that hes gonna start chucking sooner or later :x

  6. Watching it now, man Couture looks lean...i think his strategy will be to take it the distance and wait for some mental slip or physical fatigue.

Will be interesting to see how good Brock does in the Clinch...if he can do damage and control the clinch..i dont know what Couture will do unless he can get top position on the ground.

Will be funny if Brock tackles him haha

  7. Its tough to bet against Couture...cause hes the kind of guy who exploits weakness. Brock still has huge holes outside his raw power....Frank Miir pretty much showed that quickly. But Brock is so huge..its tough to say its gonna be easy for Couture as well..what are the odds on the fight?

  8. Essentially, bad interior defense and the penetration lead to wide open jumpers that the Nets lit us up on. Basically they were doing what we did in our first 6games, find the open guy after penetration and shoot lights out. They defended the paint well. We got Brooks in trouble by going to Horford early and quick to pick up some quick fouls.

They really lit it up, Anderson was hitting everything including some off balance stuff. Harris was money, Carter also in the 3rd where we lost it.

The zone defense worked for a bit, but there needs to be more wrinkles. The problem with our primarily small lineup, we cant put Joe on the PG like in previous games this year. Its gonna be rough until the bigs come back.

  9. More like find interior defensive help...Marvin isnt gonna redirect shots (and is like a step or 2 late) inside on help defense. Solo is going to be in foul trouble...without Smith/Pach.. we wont do much.

  10. Is it me, or is Flip everything people wanted out of Stoudemire?

Come off the bench, undersized but tenacious, score in critical spurts to keep the offense chugging, and not be a huge defensive liability.

You gotta love the matchup of putting Joe on the the penetrating PG's and not worry about our PG getting abused by the opposing SG. Will see how this works out against Rose and Rondo without Smoove redirecting penetrating players. I think against chicago, with Gordon loving his jumpers and Sefolosha being more of a defensive presence, it should work out good. Ray Allen however will be more capable of losing his defender if he wishes to.
