  1. Its obvious now that having a perimeter shooter is critical, at the 3 or 1 alongside Joe with the way this teams roster is built. Childress strengths highlighted our teams strengths last year, but his deficiency was also the highlight of our team. I hope he works on his shot/perimeter game. But his game would still fit better with other teams, especially veteran heavy teams.

I think we will see woodson play whomever is hitting their jumpers at the 1 and 3 alongside Joe at crunch times for the rest of the season. So its tough to see where Josh would fit for 35min a game...

Love his streamlined and efficient game though, he will find his way back to NBA and possibly a starter..

  2. The glass is actually two 5mm pcs vacuum/compressed together with print in between. Was trying it out for first time with this manufacturer. Comes out to about $40 per sqft delivered here stateside.

Appreciate the offer, actually i could use some ideas/help with some non photo realistic (something that can be done by hand without focusing on details like facial features e

etc, found in actual photographs) of hawk related stuff. The etched glass looks much better with the transparency and depth.

Will be working to make something more unique in the meantime.

  3. Looks like we still present matchup problems and teams cant take advantage of switch/help on picks n stuff. Look at the box score, 9man rotation and we actually played Flip when Bibby was off in the crunch.

    Great Win

I had this sample made to try out the production process. Im not sure why my assistant put the logo in the bottom of the picture, but oh well. Looks ok, just need to remove some artifacts from the Original image that showed up in the glass, have better graphic editing to clean up somethings.

Basically can take any high res image (prefer 1280x1000 and up) and put it on the glass. I wont be able to inspect the actual glass/quality until it arrives in mid december, will keep ya guys posted.

  5. They started with talk about Obama, then Iverson and detroit.

Talked little bout the start and facing NO tonight. Nothing new.

But they did have a hawks trivia, they had to answer.

They didnt know which player was known for being a gymnast at the age of 10...

They didnt know which player's uncle was Ernie Banks...

And Josh jumped the gun and guessed wrong on which player visited the Whitehouse 2x.

  6. Key as people said is our defense stopping their offense, or at least making tebow read the defense. As long as our front 4 can hold their ground, our LB's should be able to match up great with their speed. I think you gotta make Tebow read the defense, instead of lineup and attack positions/formations with their set plays. Means we gotta really mix up the blitz and coverage schemes (bump/close, loose, tampa2)...zone blitz to keep attack coming from different positions etc.

But just about everyone has Florida by large margin on this game. Its gonna be tough, i hope we can ball control and keep them at 3rd and long.

  7. Its hard to watch Tenn play..but if you do catch a glimpse, Berry stands out. I dont know jack from jill on the team, but Berry was great.

I put him just behind USC freak safety...that guy is a specimen, but i think Berry is a better playmaker.

  8. headline of the day, Gold at a 1yr low :p

If the US automakers cant compete at the top end of manufacturing, im not too confident any manufacturing jobs would return stateside due to increased import costs. Also i noticed in China, when manufacturing gets more expensive, they move Inland to undeveloped areas that are also less regulated...or they goto Vietnam/indonesia. Wait until N Korea opens up, there will be a rush for cheap labor mfg investment there!

  9. I remember when looking at Joes WP from Wages of Wins and other statistical efficiency sites, there was a huge difference post New Year compared to the first two months of the season. Remember all the posts thinking Joe was injured/hamstring issues or something, to explain his slow start last season?

  10. Im not in the market, but i have been following it closely, and also a fan of Nassim Taleb (black swan, fooled by randomness). I dont see the market really bouncing back as strong as it bottoms out. The financials from companies and all the indicators show a pretty deep gash in the economy, globally. Even China, (i spent 2 years purchasing/exporting there) forecasted growth is down from the 8% official 11% unofficial growth to like 4% or so. Thats incredible, because i left one year ago and the construction projects and everything were still full swing. I think the barriers for entry into the manufacturing/export of products has risen in china, as over the last 3yrs i saw factories consolidate/close in the face of competition (oversaturated). They will look to diversify more away export/manufacturing growth and face challenges like increase in Govt Regulation/Currency value. Even banks in the Gulf Countries that are usually overflowing with capital said they lost like 33% of their liquidity, as foreign investments returned home due to liquidity issues.

As for what mrhonline said, the US economy is on the decline, but its still gigantic. China and Indias growth will increasingly indicate the status of the Global Econ from now on, hopefully they can shoulder some of the weight to maintain growth worldwide. But saying this, id still choose and have chosen to live stateside...you just cant beat the laws/security and benefits living stateside. Plus, its relatively cheap here.

(gradually i have been moving away from market investment and towards small business/personal investments, studied finance in school).

But heck ya, learn chinese so you will be able to understand your grandkids! I am :p

  11. Yah if your looking forward to online play...its 360 or bust imo. If your looking for occasional gaming, blueray, go with the ps3. Even with my 360 breaking down (dvd player acting up, bought it while i lived in china modded), still gonna get another one (elite is like $330 or something now with 2games).

  12. sounds interesting and something i would like to see...

how about the signature Dominique Wilkins reverse pump dunk? I will look up a photo when i get home.

Or maybe the Phil's (Philips Arena) Atlanta Entrance?

if this wasn't what you had in mind, my bad, but good luck with your new business

Yah gonna look up the Nique one, theres some limitations on how much detail they can put in (more detail = greater size = more expensive). This Josh Smith pic looks good cause there's some contrast in colors which will really stand out (wood court, blue paint, white uniform, orange rim). I just hope they can make the facial features distinguishable.

  13. Hey guys, i was looking for suggestions, on hawk images that i will get made into glass. Just started the business this past year, since i cant quite find a reasonable full time job.

Anyways, just post links to some images and im going to select a 1-2 since they run $50-70/sq ft and see how it turns out. There is a limit to the amount of detail that can be etched into the glass and thickness.

I gotta place the order within the next 10days or so since i have to fulfil some other orders, should come out spectacular in and around December. Already got a piece in mind, tribute to Verron Haynes and UGA (was good friends with my roomate), with overhead of sanford stadium and Verron outline covering the playing field.

If this post is considered improper, advertising, or something else, just delete it. No harm intended. I already got some images in mind.
