  1. After more thought i dont see how anyone can defend Woody and his offense at this point. Instead of crafting an offense which puts people in position to use their strengths, his solution is to simply not pass them the ball.

  2. Im glad Bibby said this because i have been saying it in the chat the whole year and everyone has been piling on me about it. If the coach doesn't want him taking that shot then design plays that dont have him standing there.

  3. Another player of Johnson's size probably wouldn't have had 13 assists on just 35 made baskets for the team.

For those of you counting, that's 35 makes, minus his own 5 makes 30...13 assists out of 30 baskets = he alone assisted 43.3% of all his team's made shots.

JJ could have played better, but he's hardly the biggest reason the Hawks lost.

If JJ is to have star status and be the unquestioned leader of this team then him making plays when his shot isnt falling should be expected of him.

  4. This was one of those games that awes me-not by what Josh Smith can do, but what he could be as a player. If you can dominate the interior with Marcus Camby holding it down, you can do it any time. There is no good reason that Josh isn't dropping 25 a night.

Here's what sums it up...8/10 on the interior, 2/5 with the jumper. He shot the ball well above his career average with the jumper, and was nowhere near as good as he was inside.

Mike Woodson on the post-game show just now, "I don't want to take his game away from him..." referring to Josh Smith limiting his jump shots.

WHAT? His GAME, in this sense, must mean throwing up 5 bricks a night. Any reasonably intelligent person watching this game would LOVE for Josh Smith to play exactly like this EVERY night.

Woody is not man enough to define a role for a player to have given his strengths. If a player wants to shoot 3's but sucks doing it then damnit Woody isnt gonna take that away from them
