  1. All pro athletes have to buy a Bentley or Rolls after they sign a new contract, having no idea how much money will be spent on maintenence and gas through their ownership. It's hilarious, then sad. Those cars are for oil tycoons and Royal Heirs who could care less about how they ride on land. The owners of these companies despise overpaid athletes and celebrities, but still laugh to the bank. They're probably making lemons by now to boost profit because no one is safe in a global recession. A majority of these dudes will be in bad shape much sooner than later. There are more Antawn Walkers and Nicholas Cages than you'll ever hear about, their demise was just so sudden and catastrophic. Budget, Bibby. Budget.

Dude what are you talking about? Bentleys and Rolls are for anyone who can afford to drive one. Bibby has made well over $100 million in his NBA career. I'm pretty sure he can afford a $250,000 car. And what would make you say owners of these companies despise overpaid athletes? Seriously, after reading this and other posts you've written, you seem to talk out of your a$$ a lot. Quite hating dude!

  2. Teague is 0-14. He shoots like a girl. This is the first time i have seen him play and it is a pretty big letdown.

I wouldn't judge him as a player based on tonight's game. The kid's been playing great up until tonight averaging something like 14 point per game. Even the espn announcers were talking about how unfortunate it was for him to play the way he was playing after having such a great start to the preseason. They praised his game numerous times.

  3. I'm not hating on JJ. The NBA is a business and all he is doing is weighing his options. It's actually smart on his part to wait until next summer to see what kind of options come his way. In the end, I seriously doubt he would leave Atlanta for 1 or 2 million more per year to go to a lesser team on development. But he can sure use an offer from such a team to negotiate a longer, higher contract with the Hawks. It would have definitely been nice for us fans to have the piece of mind of knowing JJ was locked in for 4 future seasons, but this situation may not be so bad after all. I kind of like the idea of Joe having to prove himself this upcoming season... It'll keep him on his toes and the team might just get more out of him.

  4. The translation is that everything is exactly the same as it was 4 years ago, except several lawyers have become very wealthy. Very wealthy using money which could have been used to improve the basketball and hockey products the owners are supposed to care about.

Do you seriously think they are using company money or even their own money. Have you ever heard of liability insurance?

  5. lol once again , smoove had one of the highest gpa's his senior year of school. Obviously you can't read because that has been repeated more than once...Smoove is far from dumb , no matter what you so called fans think of his basketball skills.

I would love to see what his schedule looked like his senior year. I'm sure he wasn't taking calculus or any AP classes like his fellow students who were actually thinking about college. Plus, i went to a big football HS where quite a few players have gone on to play college football, and i can tell you that teachers were way lenient with them.. BTW i'm not less of a fan cause i'm realistic about Josh's intelligence. Hell. If he was a little smarter may be he would make better decisions on the court!!!

  6. Since when does not being a great public speaker make you dumb?

Our gm doesn't interview any better that Josh does, and he seems

    pretty bright to me.

you're right, not being a great public speaker does not make you dumb... not being able to put a sentence together does. And how are you comparing josh's speaking abilities with that of our general manager? Sund is not the best interviewer but he gets his point across in a semi-intelligent manner. You said it yourself, he seems pretty bright to you even after you see he is not the best public speaker... the same can not be said for Josh.

  7. http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/celtics/articles/2009/07/12/it8217s_time_to_cut_minutes/

Free agent guard Stephon Marbury, who played the end of last season for the Celtics, would prefer to be in an NBA uniform again next season. After receiving calls from Miami and Atlanta, the two-time All-Star is optimistic he will get his wish in a process he doesn’t expect to be resolved soon.

that would never happen... i would much rather keep flip
