Blessing - the ASG saw they could cash out big time and get gone and they did.

Perhaps I'm wrong but I thought for sure Ressler said resigning Paul was the team's highest priority not too long ago.

Schlenk was purely posturing with Dwight and you badly fell for it. He wanted Dwight out of his hair immediately and his first order was ship him off.
Uh, he doesn't have any hair. I guess I don't either.....

Problem is - everybody is getting too much. Most the deals happening will be called a "bad contract" by next year this time and be available as a salary dump. Howard and Baze contracts are Exhibit A. (Plumlee's is Exhibit B, C, D and F.)

In case anybody doesn't know it - the game today against the Liberty is at 11 am.

Well, Clarendon won the battle against Wheeler, but Indy won the war.....

Thanks for the wake up call @lw3. I've been so busy I have missed a lot of squawking. Great analysis. I think tonight's game comes down to Clarendon v. Wheeler as you suggested. Both will likely be out to make their former teams sorry for ever letting them go. Both (or either) may end up making their new team being regretful. Clarendon may fill the role of a Jasmine Thomas type PG - play tough D, bring up the ball and then pass it off the Angel and get out of the way. Substitute Catchings for Angel and I think that was her role as backup PG in Indy. Angel will probably reign her in if she starts running amuck. (As she often did against the Dream.) However, after getting yelled at by Linn Dunn for 2 years Angel will probably not be too hard to take. Well, I've lost a least favorite player, but there are plenty of candidates to choose from. Hopefully none will end up in a Dream uniform.

I agree we need a win tonight. If we get it, 12-8 considering the schedule and injuries is ok. Without the schedule problems or injuries I think we could have won at least 2 more games, maybe 3. So 14-6 or 15-5 would not seem too bad at all. Of course, I could mess around with the numbers on 11-9, but I think it could be a lot less convincing - to me at least.
In theory, at least, the schedule will even out and the other teams will face a more grueling one, while ours should be easier from here on out.

Uh - I think his name is Dolfan, not Dolfboobs....
Happy b-day fearless leader and thanks for all you do for us!

Shows how much we need a d-league team. C'mon Russler - let's get the Waycross Wrestlers going.

I had no idea people in Germany would care about the Hawks. I suppose it is due to Dennis (and Thabo?) We went to London a few years back. Perhaps we should have a game against the Mavs sometime in Germany.

With all those lotto picks it looks like the Hornets are Exhibit A for why tanking doesn't always work.

We I saw the title of this thread I was afraid Barkley sat on the Hawks.
After all he is Charless the Hutt.

So Sothron - you are not planning on using all the brilliant insights of peeps on your Fantasy League to help you make a fortune on Draftscam or Fanscrew are you?

Yeah us fans are the injured parties. I've had to spend thousands on counseling and medicine due to the depression brought on by by the playoff losses. NYPD you owe us......

I remember something about "innocent until proven guilty" but there may be more to the story since I have been out of town and away from the news quite a bit in the last month.

This upgrade looks awesome. I especially like the tags that are attached to topics so you can get an idea of what they are about. Outstanding work - thanks for all the effort put in.

Looks like Thabo will get off Scott free (sorry, bad choice of words) unless the jury is stacked with "little people" who are not doing as well financially as Thabo.

Great question. DMC was not always healthy either though I guess he missed fewer games than Splitter. We did have a hard time winning without him, but we've got some candidates. DMC was not considered as a starter when he came here (or else why did we get him so cheap.) If one of our wings can rise to the occasion I think we are better off. Had the Hawks been able to sign DMC for the same price as Splitter they may well have kept him though - bird in the hand.
Also be really interesting to see how DMC does in Toronto - we can find out how much of it was his improvement, and how much was Bud's system.

Wow - Awesome that you will be coming to town.
A few things I've not seen mentioned:
SkyView Ferris Wheel - you can see it easily from Phillips Arena, very short walk. Good view of the Atlanta skyline.
CNN Tour - Interesting, and right next to Phillips Arena.
If you are a fan of "The Walking Dead" Atlanta Movie Tour which has a Walking Dead Tour
BTW - I don't recall seeing anyone post that MARTA will take you right to Phillips Arena from the airport for $5.00 round trip, and there are plenty of hotels very nearby.
