i really didnt watch the hawks til recent years but it was definitely when we took the celtics to 7 games. But it did suck that we got blown out badly in game 7

yeah, sixth man of the year and second leading scorer for scrubs doesn't amount to much. neither does trading for a big upgrade at pg for scrubs that helped push us into the playoffs for the first time years.

now, the subsequent re-signing or non-re-signing of said players is another story, but those trades were worthy moves that improved us, and seemed to come out of left field.

i meant to put rarely make big moves. We did get crawford last year which helped us improve. Im just irritated with the hawks right now :(

yes i would trade anyone on our team to get melo or deron. Our roster needs to be shaken up. We all know this team is a 1st round/2nd round exit team

im not surprised our owner is horrible hes not willing to spend money to win, hes not willing to make any big moves, hes ok with keeping the same line up that gets blown out in the playoffs every year. no1 is even excited about this team. We had the same starting line up for YEARS now. Each year we just add minimum salaries players to fill up the roster spot We are also like the 29th in road attendance. /end rant

melo is really just an elite scorer. His defense isnt really all that great and he cant really lead a team like the other superstars. Remember the nuggets use to get knocked out in the 1st round every year b4 billups came and lead the team. Melo wont really make us contenders IMO but i would love melo in a hawks uniform for the more media attention and increased fan support

melo said he wants to go to the east. We have a better chance than those western conference teams unless they r willing to rent him

the nuggets have stated many times that they want young talent with expiring contracts, and 1st round picks so i guess we gotta give them mo evans/crawford including smoove and give them whatever 1st round picks we got.

if we get melo this would be huge for us we could attract a big free agent in the 2012 free agency such as deron williams, dwight howard, or cp3. Not sure we have the cap space to do it but i can dream cant I? :angel19: :helpsmilie:

im just happy they r putting in effort to get melo. That is all i ask. We have been stuck with the same starting line up for about 4 years now. They need to do something to get the fans excited
