  1. We Trade Teague Or Schröder and another piece to Sacramento For Rudy Gay. Move Demarre To Sixth Man OR Korver to Sixth Man and Caroll To SG. Let Millsap Go. Sign Greg Monroe. We would win the East.

Our Team Would Look Like This:

PG- Teague Or Dennis then Mack Off the Bench.

    SG - Carroll. Korver.

    SF- Gay. Carroll.

    PF- Horford. Scott. Muscala

C- Monroe. Sometimes Horford. Then bring over Tavares or Sign A Backup Big.

Its a cold reality that we need someone to take over in certain situations and we simply don't have that player. We don't need a ball stopper but I'm sure if we got a Rudy or someone like him we could mold him into our offence with ball movement.

  2. Are you guys lost? We just got smoked by a Cleveland team without Love And Irving. We need to make A LOT of changes. Starting this offsrason. We need a scorer on the wing. And a real Center. Am I the only one seeing Tristan Thompson owning us? If you think millsap is the answer your really stupid. I've said this since Day 1, if we got a Scoring goto guy like Rudy Gay. Even though everyone Hates him. We would be a True contender for the East. Demmarre isn't the answer. Hes a product of Buds system. He won't be playing like this anywhere else. It's really that simple. If bud could find a sick starting SF. Mold him into our offence. We would win the East. And a Center as well. Maybe Greg Monroe? Gasol? Even Lamarcus would be OK. Someone bigger then Millsap.

  3. Millsap has to go. He's mediocre. Teague is mediocre. We could prob trade him and get a sick wing player. Sign a True Center and we could make a big run next season. Antić can go To. But bringing back this roster won't get us any farther then what we got to this season. It's the cold hard truth.

  4. We should not 're-sign Millsap. And should let Demarre walk if he commands too much. You know someone's gunna overpay for both those guys. We need a Center and a scorer. Simple as that really.

  5. Let's be honest here.

Like I staTed at the beggining of the season. Teagues play will fall off come playoff time. Milsap will look old and slow and Pero will still be worthless. Let Schröder take the reigns. Trade Teague for a SF that can create there own shot. Do not. And I Repeat DO NOT re sign milsap. And send Pero back to Macedonia.

  6. I think we need to start thinking about shopping Teague...For A Big Man or For Some Wing Help And A Backup PG.

Schröder is gunna be a stud. The guy is starting to put up numbers all around....hes starting to run the offense properly and is patient.

Schröder is wayy younger...so id say start shopping Teague this summer if I were the Hawks....because its gunna be one or the other eventually....and although its a tough decision id trade Jeff.

  7. Do we Have The Deepest Team In The East?

We Have A Lot Of Guys That Can Cover Multiple Positions

Basically This Is Our Opening Night Roster Breakdown:

PG - Teague, Mack, Schröder, Bazemore

SG - Sefolosha, Korver, Carroll, Bazemore, Jenkins, Mack

SF - Sefolosha, Korver, Carroll, Mike Scott, Millsap

PF- Millsap, Brand, Horford, Mike Scott, Payne

C - Horord, Antić, Muscala, Brand, Payne Sometimes?

With the exception of Muscala and Schröder....Our whole roster can guard and play multiple positions.

I cant think of a team in the East where you can have 3-5 options at each position.

If Bazemore and Sefolosha Pan out and we stay healthy we have a very good shot at the Eastern Conference Finals

I think were better than Chicago even with D-Rose.....because we all know he will never be the same

Cleveland will be very poor defensively so im not ready to jump to any conclusions with them like the rest of the world.

Washington will be without Beal for a good while and thats really gunna hurt them

Brooklyn is getting up there in age and they just dont have much depth

Indiana is not making the playoffs this year

Toronto is a one year wonder....i dont think they win there division this year as sad as that sounds...i think they were a one year wonder honestly...they may get 7th or 8th

Charlotte will be our competition early on in the year until Washington gets back to full strength...Charlotte has a good team.

I highly doubt Miami gets any higher than a 6 seed

I think we are better than the Knicks.

I will also be at the Hawks/Raptors Game opening night....ill be the only fan probably in the arena as i will be wearing my Hawks warmup jacket and Hawks hat while the other 19,000 people will be wearing stupid "We The North" tshirts.

I hope we come into Toronto and blow them right out of the water and make a statement right now of the gate. I cant wait

  8. I wasn't in love with the Ariza idea initially but he could be a good pickup for us. Like you said, Washington's losing may lead them to re-focus on doing something with Porter rather than bringing Ariza back.

I highly doubt Swaggy P would leave the west coast (as if we'd want him and his 360 layups). Also, @jmac54, speaking of the next Kobe, Marschwagggg Brooks is also a FA I think. Can he bounce around to every team in the league before he finally does something worthwhile?

I'd like to add Gay or Granger in the offseason. I'd take Gay over Granger due to Granger's knees, but I think Gay will still demand at least $10-12 mil which he's worth. Problem with Gay is we would either A) Keep Horf at 5 or B) Trade Sap for Asik. Granger fits the 2 guard spot and would move KK to the 6th man spot. Granger/Teague backcourt is pretty stout and would work well. One would feed the other. Horf/Sap/DMC/Granger/Teague is not a bad day-one starting unit. Just wonder how long Granger's knees would hold up.

Marshon Who? Ohh Brooks...lol...that trade to Boston messed him all up. Hes toast. Granger is 31 years old with two bad knees. Would be a terrible investment for Danny Ferry. Rudy Gay - no major injuries, hits big shots and if put in an offense where he wouldnt need to carry the load offensively night in and night out. Which would be atlanta, would be a perfect fit for us. And Rudy is only 27. Him , Horford and Millsap are all between 27-29 Years old. There in their primes now. Perfect time to be a contender.

  9. Deng - No, injured banged up requesting too much money, declined a 3yr/$30 mil deal with Chicago

Hayward - No, is really a SG if anything, doubt he leaves Utah anyways

Nick Young - No, thinks hes Kobe a lot of the time, Well, hes not.

Carmelo - Although he would be unreal in our new offense, hes not smart enough to leave the dysfunctional Knicks, but he would be the perfect fit.

Rudy Gay is the answer folks. Milsap and Horford are both in the primes of there careers, Teague is playing better each season, Korver is here for another 3 years, Demarre would be the absolutely perfect sixth man to bring off the bench along with Scott and Antić right after Demarre.

Rudy hits buzzer beaters and can win you games. Which is what we needed to beat Indiana. We need "a closer". Drafting an SF right now is not going to help. We need a developed player right now. With all of our roster in the primes of there careers with the exception of Schröder and Scott and possibly Mack (if he stays). I know people think that hes innefcient and all this other nonsense because of what he "WAS" in Toronto. But thats because he was basically the only guy teams really were scared of going off against them. Plus lets be honest. Toronto's offense is nowehere near as good as the Hawks is now. Rudy could easily be a 3rd or 4th option on this Hawks team. Not a 1st option like he was in Toronto and Memphis and not a 2nd option like he was in Sac Town. We would be a nightmare for NBA teams if hes like a 3rd or 4th option. With Korver's shooting ability, Teagues ability to get in the lane and his quickness. Horford and Milsaps midrange games. No defense could potentially figure us out. We simply need to win RIGHT NOW, not wait for a pick to develop and then Horford be 33 years old and worn down and all this other nonsense. We can sign Rudy and still draft an SF (Rodney Hood) and bring him along the way for the ride. Lemme ask you this:

    PG - Teague

    SG - Korver

    SF - Gay

    PF - Milsap

    C- Horford

    Carroll

    Scott

    Antić

    Schröder

    Mack

    Possibly Lou Williams

    isnt better than..................

    PG - Mario Chalmers

SG - A very aging and banged up Dwyane Wade

    SF - Lebron

    PF - Bosh

    C - Birdman????

    Haslem

    An old Ray Allen

    A Washed Up Rashard Lewis

And the Rest of those bums

    OR

PG - George Hill (who teague is about 15 times better than)

    SG - Stephenson

    SF - George

PF - An Old David West

    C - Lol (Hibbert)

    34 Year old Luis Scola

    Waste Bucket Ian Mahinmi

Evan Turner (who will prob leave anyways after this season)

An whoever else these goofs have

Cmon The Writing Is On The Wall. We Can Smoke Both Of These Teams If We Bring In A Guy Like Rudy. Melo is wishful thinking and would be the very best option.

I Dont care if we have to overpay to get Rudy Gay, bottom line is he is probably the only somewhat big name SF willing to come to Atlanta and with him we can knock off those teams for sure with our new offence and a healthy Horford. Also our team would be the Youngest of the three teams with the exception of maybe Indiana. But we almost beat them without a healthy Horford.

  10. Ok as I said since the beggining of the season. WE NEED AN SF.

Demarre Carroll would be perfect coming off the bench. We need an SF that is a closer type guy who can finish off a game for you and a goto guy....Do you know who im talking about?..

Yes Rudy Gay. He would fit perfectly in Atlantas offense whether you guys like it or not and even though people look at how innefficient he was as a Raptor. He would not be heavily relied upon in the ATL as he was in Toronto. Hands down. We need to make a push for this guy.

Our Starting Lineup would then be :

    PG - Teague

    SG - Korver

    Sf - Rudy Gay
    Pf - Millsap

    C - Horford

    Bench :

    Mike Scott

    Demarre Carroll

    Lou Williams

    Schröder

    Mack

Then Another Backup Big Man. We would be verryyy deep and would have that guy to close out games at the end. Which we clearly didnt have in Game 4 and in Game 6

  11. Trade Teague...Carroll....Lou Williams...and a Pick To Boston For Rondo and Jeff Green

Then trade Milsap to Houston For Asik and wait until Horford gets healthy next year.

Then your starting lineup next season would look like this

    PG - Rondo

    SG - Korver

    SF- Green

    PF - Horford

    C - Asik

Sign Some Bodies to fill out your bench. Rondo can teach Schröder a whole lot.

Antić would be a solid 6th or 7th man.

Mike Scott as well would be solid.

So you with one more signing the Hawks could potentially go 9 deep into there rotation.

And all these trades work as well.

  12. so can we get rid of him now Hawks fans?.....still the same old Jeff against real NBA teams....no all star game for him anymore....or for any Hawk really. Throw Denis in there and let him learn. Teagues gotta go....hes no good against top teams.

  13. I dont think he will opt out though. He is still young enough to get another long term deal after his contract expires. I dont think he will leave that much money on the table for one year when he know he will sign another long term deal anyway. It backfired on AK 47 so I dont think Rudy takes that chance.

Everyone here in Toronto is saying he will most likely opt out becuase he want long term secuirty....as do most NBA players.....but even if he didnt opt out...the thing is...is there anyone other Small Forward in the NBA not named Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony (because those two are definitely not ever signing in Atlanta) that the Hawks could get?....the way Evan Turner is breaking out means hes probably gunna stay with the Sixers and Jeff Green is all the sudden hitting buzzer beaters against Miami....so its not like those two are going anywhere....so what if you have Rudy for one year or "possibly" two...hes a much better option at SF than Demarre Carroll and does hit some big shots regardless of his inefficiencies....his defense is good so to all these idiots on here saying he is an overrated defender you clearly do not have NBA League Pass and watch all sorts of NBA Games like I do...I dont just watch my Hawks, I also watch all teams....Rudy had more defensive rebounds than the Raptors center (Valanciunas) more assists then Lowry and more steals than anyone on the team...im not saying hes gunna do that every night but hes gunna be a huge upgrade at SF over anyone we currently have.....im still waiting for someone to give me a better option at SF for us.....everyone just seems to bash my opinion but doesnt ever have a better option for me at SF....so whos our saviour then?....becuase were not drafting high this year so our SF problems is not gunna solve itself out....Demarre is not gunna be an All Star anytime soon......give me a better option and then ill stop talking.

  14. I'm not saying we dont need a starting sf but I just dont think Rudy is the answer. We just got rid of one inefficient player who took bad shots, I dont want to replace him with another one who happens to be on a bad contract.

but if its only for one year and we get to see how he fits in then is it such a bad contract? because he would be off the books next season and we could then look elsewhere for a sf and not re sign him

  15. Carrol is terrible, such a liability. We need a quality starting SF.

Yup .... and people on here dont think Rudy Gay is the answer.....did you see him play tonight? 23 points on 8/18 shooting....6 rebounds....5steals....4 assists....2 blocks....but what most dont understand is that his 17 million dollar contract could run out this season if he opts out...which means if he doesnt work out in Atlanta....then hes off the books next season....but if he thrives in the ATL then we can possibly look to him as a long term guy.....im sure Budenholzer wont let Rudy take 37 shots like he did last game.....but trust me....if we had a guy like Rudy i really think he would flourish in our offense and would be a guy who can hit big shots in key situations....and i think since the Raptors dont want to win right now....and want a good pick then the Hawks would probably have to give up not much in return.....just some spare parts and a pick...we have no other options....Rudy is on the market and is the only SF that is really out there that is on the hot seat with his current team...Carroll can give Rudy a breather...but other than that hes useless.

  16. What a great idea....lets tank and get Wiggins or Parker who are just prospects (theres no guarantee any of these guys will be the next great one, they, they could end up being absolute busts) for Al Horford and Paul Milsap...who might be the best down low tandem in the NBA today and then lets just trade the rest of our team for more draft picks and then draft more "prospects" and lets rebuild rebuild rebuild and get nowhere until the world ends.

  17. Horford and Milsap are in there primes and will be at there best for the next lets say 3-4 years.....so why trade them??? these guys are a threat to all the teams in the East....what down low threat is better??? maybe West/Hibbert??....Drummond and Monroe maybe in a couple of years but not now....Garnett looks his age now so hes pretty much done....theres really no down low combo that we will have to worry about other than Indiana....We need an SF.....I dont care who it is.....someone who can give us 15-20 points a night from that position....and is an OK defender....Evan Turner, Rudy Gay (I dont care about his contract nonsense....regardless hes hit more buzzer beaters than anyone on Atlanta right now) Jeff Green....although hes play SG on Boston hes 6'7 and can definately adjust to wing....Luol Deng....who may leave Chi Town after this season....those are our ONLY options to possibly come to Atlanta....if we can get one of these guys we are a top 4 team in the East.
