3 way trade between Atlanta, Sac, Det:
Atlanta:
In: Kentavious Caldwell Pope, Travis Outlaw, future Sac 2nd round pick.
Out: Jeff Teague
Why Atlanta does it: Gives them a young 2 guard, which is a position where talented players are much more scarce than PG. Also Outlaw's contract is expiring, so it allows them to free up cap room this year and have more flexibility going forward.
Sacramento:
In: Jeff Teague, Josh Smith
Out: Ben McLemore, Travis Outlaw, Derrick Williams, Jason Thompson
Fills their 2 biggest needs of PG/PF. They have already inquired about trading for Smith and this would allow them to obtain a quality PG as well. They also just drafted Stauskas at 8, so giving up McLemore won't hurt much.
Detroit:
In: Ben McLemore, Derrick Williams, Jason Thompson
Out: Kentavious Caldwell Pope, Josh Smith
They get rid of Smith's contract giving SVG the flexibility he wants going forward and trade one talented young SG for another, not resulting in any great loss there.
