No thanks! No way the Knicks would make that trade anyway.

That's not true- they played in spurts. Did Teague, Al and Paul ever have good games at the same time?
Al with 1 rebound, Sap not defending in the 4th q of G3, Teague on bench in closeout game. Need I go on.
If #1 options were easy to come by we would have one already.
That's been the problem with this team all year it's rare that Teague, Al and Sap have good games at the same time.

This team seems to be in one of the worst positions you can be in: not good enough to be a true title contender, but not bad enough to get a high enough draft pick for a chance to get a franchise player. I expect Teague will likely be traded on draft night or sometime this summer. I hope for the sake of this franchise they do not offer Alfred Horford a 5 year max deal, let Boston or someone overpay for him. Is he a good player? Yes, but playing him like a great player will set this franchise back from ever doing anything.
You know they will offer him a max deal and no one else is going to pay him.

The Hawks will be offended but still won't man up against the Cavs.

I swear the only shots Jr Smith makes he has a hand up in his face. Kyle Korver is a major problem in this series but not due to defense, its due to the fact he's going to get absolutely nothing each and every game and continue to be played for 35 plus minutes despite this. There may be a solution to this, but it's funky and I doubt it's used (if you want to start more offense). It's start Mike Scott at PF and move Paul Millsap down to SF.
He won't stop LBJ either but Bazemore against LBJ is a layup whenever he wants because Bazemore will get overpowered physically every time.
I can get with this but whatever they do Korver needs to come off the bench. He gets exposed against the Cavs and we can see his play in the playoffs last year was not just about him bein injured.

I don't understand how we do not get more than two worthless 2nd round picks.

Not a bad deal and I've never been a Howard fan. However, the Hawks need to keep Al to make this really good. On the flip side I don't want to sign Al to a max contract but I know that is what he will command.
