I just watched some highlights of Agravanis and i have to admit that I was pretty impressed with this guy! I know these are just highlights and he was not playing in the NBA but at least it gives me some hope that he might eventually be able to make the Hawks roster and contribute sometime in the future! It looks like he has good size, moves really well for his size, has a good shot, rebounds well, handles the ball pretty well, seems to play with some toughness, etc.
-
I know this is WISHFUL thinking but are there any comparisons between Marcus Eriksson and Manu GinobiliL? Seems like they are roughly the same size (Although, I am guessing Eriksson is a little lighter than Ginobili) and they can both shoot very well but what about their Ball Handling, Defense, Basketball IQ, Passing, etc? I keep telling myself that is why Coach Bud drafted Eriksson so he can be his Spurs version of Ginobili for the Hawks. And, just how long (If, ever) do you think it will be before Eriksson makes the Hawks roster?

Im still trying to figure out how its even possible to be 6' 7 and only weigh 178 lbs.
I am just curious what is real height is. I have seen him listed anywhere from 6'3" to 6'7". I can see an inch difference but 4 inches seems to be a little bit of a stretch.

Laugh. Out. Loud.
Nobody is coming here. Our top free agent signing will be Kosta Koufus or something lame like that.
Maybe, I am just overly optimistic but it seems like the Hawks have made a lot of positive changes lately which I would personally think could attract some quality FA's?!

If the Hawks do lose Millsap and/or Carroll who would be your top FA target?
-
This is why he should be our number 1 target. Number one scoring option, elite rebounder, space and pace fit, and legitimate low post scorer. Make it happen Ferry.
Is this even a remote possibility or is this just a pipe dream? I would be THRILLED if the Hawks could sign either Aldridge (1st Choice!) or Gasol!!!

Mark ass dirty clown.
I wonder what the officials will do if he does that against Stephen Curry?!!!

Ejections are reversible... Refs could go in at half and decide to overturn it.
I am assuming that did not happen.
-
This has to be the worst call ever. Really?! Flagrant 2??
Unbelievable! Will the Hawks have enough players to play the next game (Or, hopefully, MORE!)??? Will Horford have to miss the next game (Or, MORE?) as well? Sounds like the Hawks are playing against a STACKED DECK!!!

Not watching the game but I just read that Horford got ejected from the game?! Is this correct and if so WHY?
-
Good start. Hawks seem to be playing better defense (not crashing on lebron quite as hard and he's missing shots) and on offense we're moving the ball much better. Let's win this, gain some confidence and take this series!
I 2nd that Motion!!!

Idc care if we looked beaten thE LAST GAME it waw last game lets think about the present we are 0-2... hmm that tells me we need to lose two more games. I camt believe hawx fans have given up with atleast two morw GAMES TO PLAYits so contradictory to this season which has only been about believing idc what u guys think say.. theres. A lot more bball to be played. Crazier things have happened. Idc lets get these next two!!!! Go hawx just play yout game.
^ sober post.
I honestly think the Hawks have a chance tonight as long as Lebron doesn't get ALL the calls (Officiating Wise!)!!!

No Korver, will help us a little. It forces us to step up. I think with that focus, Sap and Horf plays better and we may get inspired play from Baze and Scott. I would love to see us repay The Cavs with two wins in Cleveland. I believe it's possible. The possibilities that we had going into this series are still there. Moreover, Cleveland should be tired.
Diesel - I agree that it is possible! If the Hawks can pull the upset tonight and hopefully get some of the momentum back then this series should get interesting! It will also be interesting to see if Coach Bud can get his Hawks confident and ready to play tonight! The Hawks have a lot of adversity to overcome to win this series but they ARE good enough to do it!
-
That means he will miss 2 more games.
Funny! But, hopefully, you are wrong!

Just read that Korver is out for the rest of the playoffs! If true, this is another HUGE blow for the Hawks and it is just going to make the "COMEBACK" a little (OK, A LOT!) more difficult! But, like one very wise person once said "It ain't over until it is over!"!
-
Down 0-2, hurt players, not playing well and basically looking like they hit a wall can the Hawks pull off a miracle and make a comeback against Lebron & the Cavs to win the ECF Championship? Definitely sounds like a Long Shot but these Hawks have been surprising me all season so hopefully they will continue surprising me for about three more weeks!!!
-
Yep if we ditch Ferry it would be the dumbest decision this organization has made in a plethora of dumb decisions
+1
-
Hawks in 6. Maybe 7. Lebron will win them two games just because he's Lebron.
I have great respect for Lebron James but I hope the Officials don't give him special treatment (Calls) this series!
-
Besides Hawks fans I wonder how many NBA Experts picked the Hawks to make it to the NBA Eastern Conference Finals? I am guessing probably NOT too many!
-
Kyrie has tendinitis in his left knee. He'll probably start game 1 seeing as though he'll be getting 5 full days of rest.
How much do you think this will affect his play against the Hawks? Hopefully, a LOT!
-
I sure would like to see Ferry back with the Hawks SOON! I think he had a BIG hand in putting this team together! I think it would be nice to see him be able to be the enjoy the Hawks success with the team!
-
Didn't I hear that Kyrie Irving got hurt? If this is true are there any updates on his status? It would not hurt my feelings if he is not 100% for this series!
-
I am guessing Hawks in 7!
-
Cold shooting by Korver made it close. He took 7 shots for three
and missed them every one. He did play some great defense and
he kept one or two of their best defenders busy when the Hawks
were on offense.
Hawks defense went south late in the 4th quarter when they lost their
big lead and Washington got very, very hot at the same time our shooting
went very cold.
But, hey, Hawks won and advance to the EDF.!!
Again, I have not been able to see (But, I follow all of them on the computer!) any of the Hawks playoff games but it seems to me that they have been giving up a lot of late leads in many of their playoff games so far? Is this correct and if so do you think they can solve this (Of course, I am assuming/hoping they will get some leads against the Cavs!) issue during the Cavs series?
Are the Hawks going to lose the rights to Walter Tavares?

I just read an article (Actually, I think it was right here on Hawskquawk!) that gave me the impression that there is a very good chance that Tavares will be signing a contract with one of the European teams and if he does this article made it sound like not only would he not be coming to the NBA anytime soon but the Hawks could (Would?) lose their rights to him! Hopefully, I read this article WRONG! I would hate to see the Hawks lose his rights!!!
