  1. I'd take Ellis. The system makes guys better, and Ellis has gotten better and better and could be the scorer that we need. He could be a little more selfish than other guys and get away with it, and we could just have sefalosha and maybe our pick play the 3. I think we could be a better team with that lineup and with Korver coming off the bench. If we could sign milsap back at whatever his number is before it counts against our cap, and then sign Ellis and a decent big guy to come off the bench, not named Pero I would be happy with that off season.

  2. I like Scott, but if he doesn't improve on the defensive side and doesn't want to bang in the paint and get boards then we should try and move him for a future 1st or early 2nd and save a little cap room. I know there is a fine line between spacing the floor and getting a big that won't be able to stretch the floor, but we could really use a little size. The way we play defense doesn't allow for a lot of offensive rebounds because we get back pretty quickly, but we should rebound better on the defensive end. I think we were last in offensive rebounding percentage and 20 to 25 or so in defensive rebounding percentage. If we could crack the top 12 to 15 in defensive rebounding percentage that would be great. I think muscala could be a really productive guy off the bench if he improves on the defensive end and continues to get better at setting screens and passing.

  3. Why can't we just give coach Bud the GM responsibilities over players and everything that involves the roster and just hire someone to handle the other GM duties, whatever they may be, dealing with the financial issues, working out deals, etc.

  4. I don't know if 1. Either team would be interested, or 2. if this even makes sense to anyone else besides me, but what if we offered the 76ers Teague, or Schröder and #15th pick for Noel. It gives us a good defender and rebounder at the rim and allows us to sign DMC or Sap back or both or sign one and give us money for a solid wing player.

  5. I would personally like to see us save a little money and sign Thaddeus Young over Milsap, who I think can be a similar player to Milsap. And I would like to see us sign a Center that has the ability to rebound and maybe have a slight jump shot. Someone like Larry Sanders (if he wants to play basketball), or possibly Brandan Wright. I don't see us getting one of the big time Centers. Monroe would be nice, but I don't know that we're going to give anyone max money this offseason. We also need someone that can create their own shot. I don't know where we will get that, but if we could find a player similar to JR Smith, that would be ideal. I read recently that a few teams were probably going to offer DMC up to 15 million per year. I personally don't think he's worth that. I think he's a product of the system. He's a good defender, but he can't create his own shot, or he's at least not great at it. I would love to keep him, but I don't know that we can or should try to afford him if he is going to cost a lot.

If we can get Danny Green, Shumpert, Middleton, or Matthews, or someone on that level (a B to B+ SG) I think we can put together a better version of what we had this year.

My preferred realistic Roster for next year:

    PG: Teague, Schröder, Mack

    SG: Green/Middleton/etc., Korver, draft pick?

    SF: Carrol, Sefalosha, draft pick?

    PF: Young, Muscala, Scott

    C: Horford, Sanders/Wright, Tavares

  6. That makes absolutely no sense. Talking in absolutes about young players makes no sense.

yep. People also used to say that the only thing Blake griffin could do is dunk. Guess what, he's a baller.

  7. Just my opinion, but I think for money purposes we need to let DMC go unless he wants to sign for 10 or less, and if Sap wants close to a max deal let him go too. Sign gasol to play center put Horford at the 4, where he belongs, and draft a good young 3, I'd like to see Oubre, to play along with sefalosha, who still has 2 years left on his deal. Add another shooter, unless Jenkins figures out how to shoot again, and get rid of Pero for Tavares, and we have a better team on our hands and that will leave us a nice chunk of cap available for 2016-2017 when the cap goes up.

  8. I'm in the middle of the two arguments in this thread. I think Mike could provide some instant offense and if he's on he has the ability to put up 20 points in a hurry. He isn't a great defender and is a tweeter 3/4. I think he could give us an athletic body and we could put him on Lebron and at least use some of his fouls. I would like to see all of our bench get used a little more to keep our starters fresh. They've all logged a lot of minutes in the playoffs.

  9. That's a shame to hear that Mike is still possibly dealing with the back injury. I would personally like to see both Mikes play about 15 minutes and drop dennis to 10 minutes and give shelvin 10 minutes. We got here playing a good rotation of guys, and I know most people don't do that in the playoffs, but we've played pretty poorly throughout the playoffs so what do we have to lose?
