  1. 45 points on basically all faceups..these are Sf that he is punishing..this guy is not your typical 4 man..Sap turned himself into virtually a max player by sharping his perimeter skills and 45 will not be the norm but at least 17pts 7 rebs 2stl 2 blk per game.. Josh Smith even masqueraded as a 3.. Sap shoots better from mid, 3 and the charity stripe..

  2. Most of the SF in today's NBA are 3 and D guys meaning they can't really put the ball on the floor.. the most successful Small Forwards in the east in Melo and Lebron, Sap has had some success in guarding them..So he is more than capable of playing the 3..he and Horford  switch out on guards a lot when defending the pick and roll..Zone D in today's NBA allows teams to Switch on screens so having 3  versatile  shot blocker on your frontline with Dwight occupying the paint 3 seconds at a time would give teams trouble.. Look at what OKC's length did to teams in the playoffs with KD not even being a shot blocker!

The only reason why Sap couldn't play the 3 in Utah was because he didn't shoot the 3 ball back then..

If u are an owner and it boils down to paying Kent  17 mil per season or Dwight 20..You got to ride with Dwight due to popularity, jersey and ticket sales and media attention.. So therefore this expirement must happen..

We all understood the reason why DMC couldn't be kept.  However, I think we found out just how important he was to our franchise.  He was just right physically.   It was a good find Ferry

DMC was below average physically and was pushed around by Lebron..its truly a blessings we aren't hamstrung financially with his contract..

  4. And before I'm attacked by the Korver groupies who would die jus to smell his panties..I don't wanna hear that crap about his 3 pt shooting because he got Merked defensively and on offense when teams really wanted to go to ball denial mode we were left playing 4 on 5.. We lost 10 + games this past year to Korvers ineffectiveness this past season..

  5. Lol..I'm disappointed in you Diesel..Long as you've been watching the hawks I thought u of all people would recognize who time it is to go pal..IT'S KORVER'S TIME DIESEL! This organization has not shown loyalty to Nique, Deke, Smitty, Jet, Joe, Josh, Chill, Teague..and for this guy Korver to be getting a pass from the fans and Organization is really distasteful.. KORVER WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE LAST YEAR AND WILL BE WORST AT 35 YRS OLD!

  6. Schröder  is not a closer..He lost like 3 close games with Germany last summer and blew the game on the final play against the Cavs..His  Rondo style of play is a huge risk when u think of him being a full time starter...The nimbers  will be great and Rondo like but we will take a step back in the win column..

  7. U guys are nuts if u are ready to completely give the keys to  the car to Schröder in a contract year..Even Schröder assist are in the mold of what is classified as the "selfish assist"..He will over pound the ball  and over look shooters trying to establish the pick and roll..He doesn't need a journeyman as a backup..he need someone young with upside potential who could push him for a starting spot.. Austin Rivers is that guy and has shown in the games that he has started with CP3 out that he could start at Point and get you 17pts and 7ast

  8. I think that the hawks have a very Attractive back up pg situation..even though Schröder will start I only expect him to receive about 28 minutes per game like Teague..Austin Rivers would be an excellent change of pace to Dennis Schröder and would eventually put the selfish Schröder back in his 6th man role..

Austin could be had from the clippers for about 8 million per season..

  9. I  take that back.. I can't necessarily say that I wouldn't dump Teague for a Big because I would for Okafor who has star potential..Hawks fans should realize what we have in Teague..He is an all star caliber player who is splitting time and is underutilized in only 28 mpg.. Trading Teague for Noel, I say hell to the no!  I jus don't think the minutes are there  for Noel to be uber productive and his lack of range and inability to make free throws doesn't fit our system..

  10. The Noel trade makes no sense, We don't need Noel because our frontcourt is fine and is not our main issue..I'm more than comfortable going into next season with Horford,Millsap, Humphries,Taveres..It wasn't those guys fault that Bud allowed Tristan Thompson to be a factor by playing Muscala and Scott games 1 and 2 in the Cavs series..When Humphries got appropriate minutes he contributed significantly on the boards in the playoffs and regular season...Noel would only be a replication of a strength and make us significantly weaker at the point guard position.. I don't see how it makes sense at all..Maybe both teams are just throwing bait  out there right now.. Teague is very available but shouldn't be dumped for a big...Teague should only be traded for a small forward or a mid lottery pick to acquire someone wit star potential like Jaylen Brown..

Ask yourself this and be real, not a homer:

Do you think the Atlanta Hawks can seriously contend for a championship with Jeff Teague as more than your 3rd best player? Or even Dennis Schröder, for that matter?

(Teague is the 3rd best player, but is the 3rd best player on a team that has two other players that should be the 3rd best on a legit contender)

My opinion is the answer to this is NO! So it makes no sense to keep both PGs, especially when Teague is going to get a near max contract on his next deal and Schröder will get a raise.

I don't care who, but one must go. If a good scorer were to be acquired to come off of the bench with one of the PGs traded, it wouldn't hurt the bench too much.

Yes We can win a championship with minor tweaks to the core..The talent was there this season.. We lost at least 10 games in the regular season due to Korver starting which effected our playoff seating..Then during the Cleveland series Bud reluctance to bench Korver allowed the cavs to get in rhythm offensively.. Bud finally adjusted benched Korver and we played at a higher level..But due to chemistry issues with Korver in a new role we weren't able to quite close out games against the Cavs..Bud reluctance to use Humphries hurt as well.. So all the talent the team has wasn't fully utilized..the team isn't that far off from getting over the hump..With a better set rotation from Bud we could have possibly won or pushed the Cavs to the brink

However I'm not opposed to trading 1 of the 2 Pg if a deal make sense..Teague for Gay or Dennis for TJ Warren..but jus not for scraps..

Terry went from part of the core in Atlanta to a nice gunner off the bench and not part of the core in Dallas.  He could not do what Atlanta needed from him (to be the lead guard).  He was a great fit for the smaller role in Dallas.

Dude JT played a bigger role than J Kidd in Dallas winning the title..he may have even started along side J. Kidd..Terry would have been a perfect compliment to Joe..That first season we got Joe he averaged 25 and 7 and was a play maker.. Billy let Terry walked and we tanked only to end up wit one of the Williams either Marvin or Shelden who both ended up being trash..

Now you're just trying to advertise Teague's abilities, because I know that isn't true. Most of the time he sat when he was so bad he was totally unplayable, think Phoenix or Sacramento. Now there is ONE time in which the Teague fanboys can complain about that I know of right off the back, it's the third Toronto game where he looked unstoppable for a bit and then was subbed out.

But nerp, another system and Teague's offense increases a bit, but does not increase to 20/10. He is not the type that wants to take over even when he's allowed free in his history and he's not THAT good of a passer.

This thread isn't about Jeff and more so about cutting Splitter's ass but in defense of Jeff I feel like 15ppg in 28 minutes would equate to 20 ppg in 36 minutes of play not lookin over his shoulder..I disagree wit those who would rather have Wall or Lowry over Teague..Hawks fans are tricked into under thinking less of there guys..Seen the same thing wit Jason Terry..Went to the Mavs and received national praise.. He was even better player when he was with the hawks..We are going to regret trading Jeff for scraps..Mark my word! I wish the hawks would show more loyalty and allow guys like Teague and Horford to retire Hawks or at least play their entire prime in the uniform..
