  2. Indiana Trade Breakdown Outgoing Eddie Gill 6-0 PG from Weber State 0.7 ppg, 0.4 rpg, 0.2 apg in 3.0 minutes Ron Artest 6-7 SF from St. John's 19.4 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 2.2 apg in 37.8 minutes Incoming Gordan Giricek 6-5 SG from Croatia (Foreign) 10.9 ppg, 1.9 rpg, 1.7 apg in 26.3 minutes Matt Harpring 6-7 SF from Georgia Tech 11.7 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 1.0 apg in 25.2 minutes Change in team outlook: +2.5 ppg, +2.1 rpg, and +0.3 apg. Girecek would also be a nice fit since is such a great shooter he could eventually become indiana's new reggie miller. artest is probably worth more but at this time indiana would be lucky to get this much. Utah becomes the best defensive team in the league with kirlenko and artest and i know utah would be a strange environment for ron but imagine sloan's no crap attitude and what it's effect could be on artest. it could be good or bad but either way sloan and artest would be a great fit. eddie gill could actually be the backup point utah has been missing or maybe not but who cares. Utah would now be a serious contender with a linup of okur/boozer/kirlenko/artest/williams shooting is an issue but defensively they could go down in history the only question mark is boozer who hasnt played a game all year.

  4. i dont normally speak much but due to there being no available insider reports i have a lot on my mind like u guys beloved hawks. heres my opinion on your team. Josh smith would be kenyen martin if he went to college. u guys see him as the next nique but he's not he should study kenyen martin's game and i think he could soon be the next athletic power forward given that i think u guys drafted good even though chris paul is a monster. Josh childress is a lock at the two for years and will be an all star in the next two years. My question to u guys is can diaw play the point if he can the hawks could throw potentially five forwards on the floor at once and dare the defense to try and gaurd up although trading harrington seems inevitable that linup would be intetresting. Who wants al harrington and what will they give up to get him thats my question and the one reason i would of went with paul. Is ATL ready to spend money in free agency or will they stand pat for another season. If u thought j terry took bad shots wait till u see salim stoudamire. big al for illguaskas would work but overpaying a slow big man to run with an high speed team like the hawks would definetly cost billy knight(or whoever your gm is)his job. I would suggest paying guys like curry, gadzuric or james would be a better move or offering al and change for guys like maglore, ratliff, or dalemburt would do justice. Kwame brown is available if your a risk taker he can run, jump and rebound and block shots probably would be a great fit next to these other young guys but this too could cost knight his job. Last but not least is the point guard position i would go with another stoudamire, damon becuase he could teach diaw and his cousion the position (the cousin tandem could maybe sell seats) plus he can shoot something hawks could use. What do u guys the of these moves which do u think would actually turn them into a playoff team now or due u think we will see them in next years draft picking the best available player which just happens to be another forward?
  5. good examples but your theory is too based on what ifs. A player needs playing time to show his progression ie Darko milcic who cant find his way off the bench. The hawks have arguably the 5 capable starting forwards since they wont compete for nothing maybe 1 or 2 will have a good season and show a lot of promise where as the other players will be stuck on the the bench watching them have a great season. Then players stuck on the bench will never reach there full potential because they will never know there role they will be considered dissapointments regardless of how good they are at playing the position they play. Who is atlant's star who isnt. BPA regardless of need only works when your comparing sam bowie to micheal jordan.
  6. San Antonio trades: C Radoslav Nesterovic (8.7 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 28.7 minutes) PF Malik Rose (7.9 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.0 apg in 18.8 minutes) San Antonio receives: SF Shawn Marion (19.0 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.7 apg in 40.7 minutes) PF Maciej Lampe (4.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.4 apg in 10.7 minutes) Change in team outlook: +7.0 ppg, -1.1 rpg, and +0.7 apg. Phoenix trades: SF Shawn Marion (19.0 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 2.7 apg in 40.7 minutes) PF Maciej Lampe (4.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 0.4 apg in 10.7 minutes) Phoenix receives: C Radoslav Nesterovic (8.7 ppg, 7.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 82 games) PF Malik Rose (7.9 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 1.0 apg in 67 games) Change in team outlook: -7.0 ppg, +1.1 rpg, and -0.7 apg. TRADE ACCEPTED Due to San Antonio being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. San Antonio had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement Duncan would become the best center in the league forget rasho. lampe could be a solid four. Duncan could use a fellow olympian to help solidify san antonio as a power house. suns do this trade for obvious reasons a linup of nestoric, stoudamire, richardson, johnson, and nash would be deadly for years. I really think its going to be hard for anyone to disagree with this trade
  7. You guys must not respect Allen because I do. I beleive ray allen is better than vince carter. He can certainly shoot better. I think a healthy ray allen will be just as good marketbly as vince carter just without the wining. vince carter is a jumper with a bad knee!!!!! (ie Mcdyess) Ray Allen is an athlete with a pure jumper. look around thats rare. Then you got two solid players jerome james is better than that brazilion guy from byu (weak conference plus he's undersized) and daniels is a nice backup at both gaurds. Once your superstar demands a trade their fan base in that area usaully decreases so i think a change is definetly needed. "He starred in he got game for crying out loud"
  8. how do yah like this trade i think it THIS IS A PERFECT EXAPLE OF A WIN-WIN SITUATION ALLEN/JAMES/DANIELS FOR CARTER/MARSHALL BY THE WAY HOW YAH LIKE MY FIRST POST HIT ME UP WEEZ
