I live in Chicago. My son too. We might go to one of the Milwaukee games. We used to go to Milwaukee to watch the Hawks all the time. Then they drafted Giannis and the prices skyrocketed.
I live in Chicago too. A couple buddies of mine are coming up, that’s how I got the price breakdown. I flew into ATL on Friday for game 6. But yeah, we should do a Chicago meet up.

Any other squawkers going to the game on Wednesday? Tickets were fairly cheap. Airfare, hotel, and ticket all for <500.

How many Cleveland games have you watched? My guess would be less than 3.
Yeah I watch every Hawks game I couldn’t handle watching another trash team on the reg.
It was a genuine question believe it or not.

Drummond for Rondo, Bruno and Gallo works just fine. Probably would have to exchange picks but yah...works.
What's the thought around this? We bring Drummond off the bench? And then Mays as our FT backup PG? And Gallo has offense, if he's not playing last night through the bulk of the 4th it would've been all Trae hero ball. Drummond is nearly unplayable in the 4th.

What? Why? Trae only played 6 minutes of the 4th and had 8 points. Are the Lakers saying 'well we suck unless we can win without Lebron in the 4th'. Luka, Dame, Giannis?
Some people seem to refute enjoyment from a victory from themselves and instead try to gatekeep enjoyment by moving goalposts and creating arbitrary 'goals' for what constitutes whether or not a win is valid.
Like all the things in his post could have happened last night and then we can go on this stretch and lose our next 5 games. Which is all understandable because a long losing streak seems imminent just due to difficulty of schedule and this is Atlanta sports fans we're talking about 90% of us have kicked puppy syndrome.

Great article; basically points at Pierce's inability to communicate with the young players, frustrations from the whole team about not being listened to, and that the firing likely would've happened last off-season if not for the pandemic, Pierce's initiatives in social justice/the election, etc.
Also highlights that Trae is a fan of Macmillan's style. Hopefully we rally for the 2nd half of the season.

Aight can’t wait to see how we blow this one.

Still, I find it hilarious how many "Hawks" "fans" are so excited to see us lose since it gives them an excuse to call for the coach's firing.
Instability is the mark of every failed organization. Good/bad coaching is completely relative.
I don't think anyone is stoked about losing, but how many times to we have to be the objectively better team and lose? Bad rotations, bad challenges, bad game plan.

Rotations were still ass tonight. Let Nate run the show this is getting soooo old.

Hunter about to have a career night....or we flounder and put up 30 points total in the first half.

Another reason our transition d/defense in general is going to suffer. To be clear I think this is a great thing considering the makeup of our current roster.

I think if last night's game proved anything is that we probably shouldn't be so reactionary. Half the board was ready to trade Collins/Capela and bench Trae a week ago. 90% of the league is hovering within a game of .500. This season's schedule is nuts, teams haven't played in months, practice is limited, etc. Yeah we're not looking great but what team is consistently looking good outside of about 4 contenders.
Great game, good adjustments after Detroit came out with some hot 2nd half defense. Time to pay Collins in the off season.

John Collins 4/7 on 3's and 4/7 on FGs. Just let him bounce around the 3 point line and Capela bang down low.

Deandre Hunter is gonna be so good he needs to just not disappear. I think that has to do more with rotations than him though.

I think LP accidentally found a good rotation.

3 assist back to back to back then a pass to a foul. nice run.

Thank god no Simmons, he's a beast.
Score is reversed if Simmons played tonight. I guess that was a "real" injury after all.

So are we still trading Trae and starting the tank over? What's the mood of the board....

A foul on Trae? Oh wow.

Embiid getting frustrated. We've stayed out of foul trouble running a big boy lineup too. Much improved 2nd quarter.

See how much better they play when the Hawks stay big?
If the wings aren't making shots, they're not going to make up for it on the defensive end. AT least when we stay big, the defense is better.
Yeah it's not like our perimeter D is good anyway.

That might be a mistake on the television side.
It was always an issue at games. This is the first time I've been watching on TV consistently in a while and it's been spotty all season. I just assumed it was a reflection of the in person fuckuppery.

I really don't see how a scenario where JC leaves. Defense is sus but he's our only energy out there when shots aren't falling some games.
