It makes plenty sense because Atlanta is a football city first and foremost. We Falcon fans ALL hate the Aints. It'd be the same feeling if the Braves starting touting Celtic green for St. Patty's. These teams need to be for the city and that includes their sibling teams.

I get the gold because of 50 year anniversary and whatever, but the black and white need to GOOOO. I'd rather see Georgia Tech colors out there over Aints.

Yeah, unless you're Atlanta United whose limited run jerseys are black and white and wear black and gold trainers, and those sold almost instantly because they're fly af. Oh and Blank owns Atlanta United. Gimme a break that is one of the dumbest arguments I've heard.

It was Jeremy Lin because they also talked about the asian american event he had after the Hawks game on Saturday.

Yeah....I cringed as soon as I realized what he was saying. It was pretty bad.

All the way. And I have about 3 Marine Corps brothers from New Orleans and 2 from Baton Rouge. I will not live that down.

Might sell the jacket we get.

Just got my jacket today....and it looks pretty great not gonna lie. I'm also not a Falcons fan so no qualms repping the colors.

This could be a good thing. So far, he has been trying to do too much, which has hurt him and the team. He can use this time to just sit back and see where he's been screwing up. If Huerter gets the nod and plays well on both ends, I hope that motivates him to play smarter on offense and actually play defense. He's a good young player and I don't want to see him 'ruined' by developing bad habits on both ends of the court. He needs to find a balance between "Drew League Prince" and 1st/2nd season Prince.

He took a step back in the last game (might've been because of foul trouble too I think he ended the game with 5) and ended with 15 pts in 22 minutes on okay shooting splits. Only 1 turnover which was a big step up as well. I'm still of the opinion Prince would be a fantastic 6th man while only being a fringe starter. And I don't think that's a bad thing or a knock, his play style just seems to suit it more than what our offense is designed for.

Michael Cunnigham over the AJC has a nice opinion piece on Tre.

    https://www.myajc.com/blog/mike-check/hawks-rookie-trae-young-already-looks-like-the-real-deal/JaDZUSUuYooiBK7hDKWoZK/

    Here are some highlights:
"Young’s numbers already are impressive. He ranks first among qualified rookies in assists per game (7.9), second in points (19.1), seventh in field-goal percentage and fifth in 3-point percentage (32.1). "

"Young has been a high-usage player, which is a term used by stats heads (raises hand) use to say that he’s a big part of the Hawks’ offense. His usage rate is tops among rookies and 27th among all players, according to Cleaning the Glass. Most rookies, especially point guards, struggle when immediately taking a central role, but Young has been productive and efficient even as opponents frequently blitz and trap him to make him give up the ball."

"Per Cleaning the Glass, Young ranks in the 65th percentile among point guards in points per shot attempt. He’s assisted on 41.3 percent of his team’s baskets, which ranks in the 90th percentile among all point guards. It’s notable that Young’s production as a passer has been outstanding without John Collins playing a game; when Collins returns from injury that tandem will be a pick-and-roll terror."

"But those critics eager to declare Young an NBA bust right out of the gate are going to have to wait. I hope their wait never ends."

Nice write up. I certainly expect Trae to get more and more focus as the season goes on (Not that they aren't already focusing on him). I'm worried that defenses start to shut down his passing lanes that he will struggle to convert at the basket. Also worried about durability. Even now he's at 31 mpg and taking a lot of shots. He spends more time on the ground than I would like.

Speaking of Hawks' vets, sounds like the team's real leader is Miles ... from reality ...

What in the world am I reading?

I guess I should just accept it as good pub for the squad.

Jfc I'm dead. This is too much. Also I think this says more about the state of Burning Man than it does about our team.

Hey man I saw another dude with ur jersey against the Heat on Saturday. I can’t believe I checked for those last year and couldn’t find them online anywhere and now they are gone. They were the coolest Hawks jerseys for me. Love the black n volt...very chic!

I'll sell you my gently used John Collins one for $500.

We're just a few weeks into the season and we have a draft pick who is not only a starter from day one but is the best offensive player on the team.   That's what you are shooting for in a top draft pick.  We should all be friggin ecstatic.

    Yes. Exactly.

a mid range jumper is gonna fall for him at a much higher clip than those rainbow floaters from the free throw line, that's for damn sure. I just hope he starts taking them more

I'd like to know at what % he is hitting the floaters. Seems to be going well so far.

My favorite play from him against Miami was that pull up mid ranger jumper he hit. If he adds that to his game, he'll be even more unstoppable getting to the rim. You're more predictable when your offense is only shooting 3's or shots at the rim. The mid will always be there

That helps, the running floaters help. I'm worried teams are going to start cutting off his passing lanes. The way he attacks the rim doesn't always leave much room for a bail out with his size, but the well rounded game should help with that.

  11. Stay away from specific players. They could do something unsavory like OJ Simpson somewhere down the line and then you're stuck with it.

Also, PacMan logo, if you have never had red ink tattoo'd on you before, be careful. It's the color most folks are allergic to.

Yes sir! We projected to be back in the playoffs 2020 at the latest.

I haven’t seen them play this year either and I’m scared to watch that mess frankly ?

So I took the time to watch the first half of the OKC WAS game this morning....and jfc they are not good. Dwight was the bright spot and I think that was his first game back. They looked like us when we play iso ball.

They have some talent but weren't cohesive at all.
