I've talked about Walker maybe 3 times on here and it's because he's one of the worst free throw shooters in the league and should be fined every game until his free throw % is above 75%. Maybe that would give him some incentive to get a little better at it, because lets face it, no professional basketball player should be this bad from the line. And back to the original point of this topic, you're crazy if you think this team has improved. This current stretch of games we are on was supposed to be where we got a few wins, and we haven't. Delk has played better, Childress has regressed. Harrington has been average. Barry is average. Boris has done nothin. Josh Smith hasn't gotten enough minutes, but seems to give a spark every time he's in. Granted, Ivey and Drobs are hurt but you can't honestly think they would've helped us win those games. Delk has filled in nicely. No wins until defense and free throw shooting is improved.

The young guys are getting much needed playing time and experience, yes, however the TEAM as a whole has not improved that much as evident by the few games before tonight. Obviously getting blown out by Charlotte was the low point of the season.

Shoot a combined 12-19 from the FT line tonight. Yet another sub-65% night at the line from our 2 best players.

Yeah if you consider getting blown out by Orlando and Charlotte improvement.

It amazes me how we refuse to play zone defense when we obviously can't guard one on one. We already rely on help defense way too much but I recall very few times we've actually played a zone defense this year. Now, it's probably not gonna solve our defensive problems but I think it's worth a try. Make teams beat you shooting the ball first. And please don't get me started on free throw shooting. This is beyond bad. These guys are pros? Shooting below 75% is really unacceptable, but under 65% as a TEAM? Somethin is just not right, there. I know 9-10 year olds who can shoot free throws better than this.

It pains me to see Free Throw shooting this awful. I just dont understand how it can be so bad. Al and Toine have no touch at the line. It's almost like they're aiming. DONT AIM.

Well I wouldn't say we put the game away, but we did hold off and win. As Kenny said after the game we shoulda won by at least 6 points. But a win is a win and its good to get the first one especially on the road. 27 Assists / 12 turnovers / 50% FG's Good shooting and passing tonight made up for the lack of rebounding (-11). Nice game lets keep it goin.

That is what's wrong with the Hawks. They DO NOT take care of the ball. Horrible passing. I've seen high school teams with better fundamentals than these guys. This offense is so pathetic, I don't think we run a set play. All I've seen is post up and line the other 4 guys around the perimeter, WHERE THEY JUST STAND STILL. This was present last year, the year before, the year before, and the year before that. Too much one on one, no movement on offense. Again, it's fundamentals. CUT TO THE BASKET. HELP YOUR TEAMMATES OUT. If these guys don't know that its up to the coaches to point it out to them, and that's obviously not being done either. And finally, this team just does not play defense. It's just horrible. It makes me sick to watch it. Guys helping out FOR NO REASON, LEAVING SHOOTERS WIDE OPEN. Just standing around watching. I dont know whats going on. One time Antonio Daniels had the ball at the top being guarded by Al Harrington, who of course just gets blown right by while the rest of the team watches him go in for an uncontested layup. I'm sorry but its hard to find anything positive about this team, and when I find something I'll be sure to point it out. Losing to a team by 20 who just got beaten by 30 is not good to say the least.
