I'm ready to make my selection but am also willing to listen to all trade ideas as well...Devon's Youth Movement is listening to all offers...

...and it's the points you just made that make Bob Arum's "Fuming rants" just that much more perplexing.Either Arum is playing us all for fools and laughing all the way to the bank, or boxing is just that corrupt...This fight stinks of dead fish and loose women.

Bradley was THOROUGHLY beaten by Pacquiao... I watched every second of this fight and was literally sitting there, stunned look on my face, at the score of the first judge (115-113 to Pacquiao) as none of us in the room thought it was even remotely close. When the 2nd judge had it 115-113 to bradley we were FLOORED, then the final judges score came in and we lost all faith in boxing.Boxing = irrelevant

Oh yeah.. I forgot... FLOOD PRONE.

Have you been to Memphis?Economically depressed, crime ridden, small market.

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8038389/sources-billionaire-robert-pera-agrees-purchase-memphis-grizzliesSo I just read on ESPN that the Memphis Grizzlies were sold for $350m to a 34-year old "Silicon Valley" billionaire with no ties to the area...This pisses me off to no end...Memphis can get sold but Atlanta, THE 9TH LARGEST MARKET IN THE COUNTRY, gets stuck with the bumbling bafoon crew...To quote the mom from Step-Brothers... "What the F*cking F*ck"

His 3pt % is nowhere near the best at his position... Seriously man?as for him getting open off of cuts and creating his own shot... WHEN IN THE HELL DID THIS HAPPEN?I've been to nearly every Hawks' home game since he's been here and the majority of the time Marvin shuffles up the court and stands LITERALLY IN THE CORNER behind the 3pt. line... He's useless, he applies ZERO effort to create a shot.He doesn't even try to set picks, he literally STANDS IN THE CORNER and waits for Iso-Joe to be over...STEALING MONEY!!!
-
Marvin Williams is a "bust" of Sam Bowie proportions... To not see this is to deny that the sky is above your head and the ground is below your feet.Billy Knight, who should seriously burn eternally, is the one to be hated here; but Marvin's ineptitude vs. Deron/CP3's Greatness is a glaring shiner on the face of this franchise.Marvin Williams could be defined as:- MAJOR Underachiever- Offensively Underachieving based on expectation- Average to Above Average on Defense- Below Average to Average as a rebounder; although at 6'9" I'd say it's closer to poor.- Below Average to Average 3pt. shooter- Awkward- Injury prone- Not useful in ANY offensive set to date...- NOT Progressing as a player AT ALL...I'm sorry man, he's garbage. He's stealing money at this point.

Fingers crossed for a top-5 then!!!...And with the #1 pick Devon's super squad does NOT select LeBron James.

Can we lottery for selections instead of order of signup? I'd gladly host a "live stream" of the lottery process so everyone would know it wasn't rigged.

I'm in to GM a squad....

The Youth Movement
PG: Steph Curry, Darren Collison
SG: Kevin Martin, Rudy Fernandez
SF: Nic Batum, Shane Battier, Gordon Hayward
PF: A'mare Stoudemire, David Lee, Boris Diaw
C: DeAndre Jordan, Chris Kaman
Coach: Scott Brooks
- When it comes to scoring... we've got it. When it comes to defense... we've got it. Energy, Rebounding, Youthful exuberance, veteran leadership... we've got it.
Curry and Martin give us deadeye shooters, with Collison and Fernandez providing depth off of the bench. Nic Batum gives us a defensive presence with massive wingspan to go along with A'mare and David Lee on the frontcourt. We'll start Jordan over Kaman at the 5 but they're obviously interchangeable.
What we may lack in top-flight "name recognition" talent, we overflow in the "team/glue" stlye of player, and a HC in Scott Brooks that can get the best out of his youth.
I see us as almost a San Antonio type of team...

I was and still am against the hiring of Larry Drew. I believe it sent out the wrong message and as a Hawks' fan I felt completely jerked around by the "will they or won't they" situation with Avery Johnson. As a season ticket holder I was infuriated by the line of "we are going to search high and low to find a new leadership voice for the team" only to hire Woodson's top assistant and make him the lowest paid coach in the entire NBA.This ownership group is honestly a bigger black eye on the city than Rankin & Taylor Smith ever were.
-
Nobody thought anything about mine & Colin's team... I think we've got one of the better squads in terms of depth & athleticism.
I'd love a Diesel or Capstone analysis... Then I will go into my thoughts!

So you're telling me I could possibly have 2/5th's of the 2-time National Championship team; some would say the most important 2/5th's of that team, on the Hawks in Noah and Horford?Sign me up, I'm in...We get a legit 5, turn Horford into a 4, trade Josh to Philly for Thad Young & change to make the #'s work... I'm in.

OkC has some pretty decent defensive bigs man... Ibaka has ridiculous wingspan to block shots, Perkins is crazy physical, Durant is a 6' 10" SG... Hell even Collison and Aldrich are ginormous and "no bull" type players.I'm just saying... I've read everyones argument; pro and con, and in the end this is the league that's been created by the new CBA. If players want to create a mega-team when they get to their pre-expiring year by forcing trades with the threat of diminishing returns should those trade demands not be met..."Hey Coach... My uh, back, uh... hurts, or something... think I'm gonna sit this one out, maybe the next 3 too..."In the end if it nets us Gasol and maybe a Sessions/Devin Ebanks throw-in salary matcher and rids us of Marvin, I'm all for it...Straight up doesn't work I don't think.I think a front court of Horford and Gasol could be pretty cool... I don't love Pau's game, but he's got the potential to get a fresh start in the Eastern Conference and hopefully bring some of his championship level caliber experience to our growing team... Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, I'm just of the mindset that when a hometown guy says "I want out"... let him go, this is a business, get the absolute best package you possibly can and move forward.I'd rather have his brother though.

#1. Move Josh Smith on draft night... - We will wrangle over this all off-season but if we could get 1-2 "better than serviceable" players (say Kyle Lowry/Luis Scola, or Gasol/Sessions or Thad Young), or a lottery pick to get one of the 3 UK studs (Davis, Kidd-Gilchrist, T-Jones) that would be ideal. Another phone call I would make would be to Indiana to see if Paul George could be pried away for Smith; they've (Indy) got too many good options to pay them all and too many contracts coming due for renewal. #2. Find someone to take Marvin Williams... I don't care if it costs us in supposed "talent level"... Marvin is a bust and his stain needs to be removed from this franchise. That chapter needs to be closed.#3. Hire a GM with at least (1) CONFERENCE championship on their resume...#4. Have the ASG find a buyer with sufficient capital to finally remove them from this city.- from David McDavid to Steve Belkin to Alex Meruello the ownership, or non-ownership or whatever, has made us a laughing stock of the league. Totally unacceptable and efffffff David Stern for allowing the debacle to continue.#5. Remove any and all remnants of this current coaching staff; all of them. - Remember how the ASG tried to sell us that they would conduct an extensive coaching search, post-Woodson, leaving no stone unturned in the hopes of bringing a "new voice" and "solidarity" to the team following the Orlando blowout debacle... Well, they didn't have to look too hard in bringing in... the assistant Head Coach. I could keep going but I'll stop at 5.
-
ASG has to be gone...
Sund & Drew HAVE to be gone...
New ownership has to Amnesty JJ
New GM has to make moves... Atlanta would support a winner, but a team that sells draft picks to avoid paying "the tax"... GETTHEF*CKOUTTAHEEEEEEEERRRRREE

Kevin Love or no deal... I don't even want to hear people talking about Monta Ellis if we still have JJ; that's 2-iso only players in one starting lineup... NO THANK YOU
-
I don't see Howard in a Hawks' uniform... I've tried, I've attempted to forsee it, but it just doesn't happen.
Ultimately Dwight wants to be the next Kazaam, and that means LA.
-
I was so hopeful that these windbag douches were out of the picture and then Mereulo didn't have the funds... Why are we stuck with this group of Assclowns?
-
I'm not talking SUPERSTAR center but what would it take for us to get either a Young 5 w/potential or a Serviceable Brendan Haywood-esque veteran?
Would Sacramento part ways with DeMarcus Cousins for anything we've got?
Long time fellas, long time indeed...
BTW, my Hawksquawk Fantasy Draft teamed would've quietly CLOWN-STOMPED all of you; but damn did Diesel have a sick frontcourt...
Good to potentially have our game back fellas!

The FINAL member of the Parliament Funkadelics is the one and only Andres Biendrins... Our team is done.
PG: Steph Curry / Darren Collison
SG: Kevin Martin / Rudy Fernandez / Boris Diaw
SF: Nicolas Batum / Shane Battier / Gordon Hayward
PF: A'mare Stoudemire / David Lee
C: DeAndre Jordan / Chris Kaman / Andres Biendrins
HC: Scott Brooks
- I think Hawksquawker analysis of each team is going to be priceless... This has been a great thread and a lot of fun!
