    SHOOT ME

Picking Horford this year basically says "you know what, we messed up last year by picking Sheldon"- somebody needs to get fired. I feel like I could make better decisions in the front office.

    SHOOT ME

I feel like we just drafted Sheldon Williams and Salim Stoudamire all over again. Im so frustrated with our decisions- how do you f*** up the trade for Amare- R U KIDDING ME? Amare falls into your lap and you turn the other cheek. Somebody needs to step up around here, or we will never be contenders...
  3. 8th January, 2007 - 4:38 pm Atlanta Journal Constitution - Sekou Smith of the Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting that the Atlanta Hawks , Portland Trailblazers, and Washington Wizards are discussing a multi-player trade. The rumored deal would have the Blazers sending Jamaal Magloire to the Wizards who would send Brendan Haywood and Jarvis Hayes to the Hawks while they send Lorenzon Wright, Salim Stoudemire, and Esteban Batista to the Blazers. At least Haywood can man up and blocks some shots in the paint. I like Jarvis Hayes' game also. I think this wood be a good trade- pull the damn trigger Billy!
  4. Ive never seen anybody pull of those protective goggles like Josh has. He looks pretty smooth in them lol. Good start by ATL.
  5. Born in Douglasville, lived in Atlanta and Marietta- raised in upstate New York
  6. As far as the sign and trade deal with Al Harrington, if we don't find away to snag Andre Miller or Jamaal Magloire- I'll view the trade as a loss. Who here doesn't want a 6-11 diesel center who can put up 10 points and 10 rebounds per game? Most people don't realize Magloire is only 28 and has played just 6 seasons in the league. With Andre Miller, I think you all know what he brings to the table. I know we just signed Claxton, but Miller is a big guard who can distribute and defend other top point guards around the league. I'd prefer Magloire, but would be happy with either of these players. Knight needs to find a way to get him to Atlanta in this deal. PG- Claxton/Lue/Salim SG- Johnson/Childress/Salim SF- Smith/Marvin/Childress PF- S. Williams/Marvin/Zaza C- Magloire/Zaza/S. Williams
  7. It's really simple- Aldridge is the only player out of the top prospects who we need. If he is off the board by the time we pick, then we need to trade away whoever we choose. It's LaMarcus or bust baby!

    Aldridge

I believe LaMarcus Aldridge is the only answer for us in the draft. This versatile big man has a smooth post game and is a great shot blocker. I think he is just what we need- a young center who can develop with our other youngin's. If he isn't on the board when we pick- then I don't see much value as far as point guard or center (our obvious needs).
  9. The Washington Examiner reports that Brendan Haywood, Jarvis Hayes and Etan Thomas are on the trading block. I would not mind adding Haywood to our squad at all. He's a 7 footer who can block a few shots and put the ball in the hoop. What do you think it would take to get him here this offseason? If he does somehow become a part of the team- then how great do u think his role would be?
  10. Im talking about a Jermaine O'Neal- somebody 6-11, puts up 20 and 10, bodies big men and can actually run. Forget a 7 foot plus center who isnt agile enough to run a fast break. And forget all the top young big men- Noah, Aldridge, and Thomas all need 20 pounds of muscle to be noticed in this league. O'Neal and the Pacers are bound for a split very soon. JO will get the job done man.
  11. This year's draft class is weak to start off with. I like Aldridge and Thomas but I really dont think they will have a big impact in the league (at least not right away). What we need is a diesel center who can man up and play some D, grab some boards, and score in the freakin post. We have no big man who can guard the better post players in the league. A leader at the point position would also help our squad. Unfortunately, the top prospects fullfil neither of these needs. It should be a given that BK trades this pick for a proven player. My advice- package the first rounder with one of our forwards (preferably not Smith or Childress) for a top center.
  12. The players for the Rookie Challenge will be announced later today. Who from the Hawks do u think will make the rosters??? My guess is Salim and possibly Marvin for the rookies. J Smith will def make it for the sophmores, but Im not so sure that J Chill will get the nod.
  13. Now thats what Im talking about- someone willing to pull some triggers around here. Although I might be reluctant to give up on J Smith. I would probably ship J Chill before him.
