  1. You guy and missing it...ATLBob kinda got it on his 1.

What this time needs in Attitude, Inspiriation and Ego!

The players that come through my gym all go through life coaching in order to get their minds right. It doesn't matter how much natural talent or skills you have if you don't have the above three it's worthless.

These guys need to learn how to think like champions...it works in all areas of life, espically in sports. The reason I have a 99% success rate with people managing their fitness is due to them changing the way the think.

The Hawks entire organization needs to learn how to get their mindset to the level needed to be beyond what their skills will allow!

That goes for everyone...in almost all cases if a part of your life sucks, it's your thinking that has you in hell!

  2. Be Well! We'll keep you in our prayers.

While your there (if you can) go 1 1/2 hr south to Garmisch for RnR. It's one of the most beautiful and relaxing places on Earth. From 93-97 my wife and I went there aleast once every 2 month (we lived in Stuttgart). Great food, skiing (not for you), community.

  3. If you don't mind I'm currently writing a fitness book and I'd like to use that story (of course I'll give you the credit as my source for the story, except I don't know your name, so I'll use graymule from hawksquawk.net). Hell I need to keep a 2x4 in my gym!

  4. OK I'm officially taking credit: Over the summer Damien worked with one of my trainers, so it's all because of UC Fitness (www.ucfitness.biz).

The reality: Damien is coming into his own and he's got very good genes to boot. Kim Trego worked on his flexibility, but he worked hard all summer on his game and confidence. I only talked to him a couple of times (mostly about his big damn dog, he would bring), but you could see that he was determined to have a breakout year.

What pisses me off is that he comes out against us and that he won that game for Seattle, but Durant will get the hero story!

  5. That's a great article...I love when business people have an attitude of "to hell with you and the horse you rode in on".

He can't controll when he was picked, but he can attend to his business of become a better player. To play for family is more important than anything thing else. The beauty of playing for family is that other prizes come (like All-Star, Playoffs, Rings, HOF [not saying he'll get all of those]).

The attitude in that article is one of the difference between people who remain in poverty and those who don't (financially and mentally).

I pray he keeps his focus on doing better for his family!
