shown improvement in his offense this year?

Seems like the board has been so focused on Marvin's summer that Smoove's so called new post moves or lack there of have not been the focus of this board in the preseason! Heck even Woodson had to yank him last night for taking all of those bad outside shots. Don't get me wrong, Smoove is a wonderful athlete whom the Hawks need on the team defensively but offensively, he is probably no more than a complimentary player. He desperately needs to improve his shot selection and his basketball IQ to not be a liability on offense and to get his shooting percentage up to where it is comparable to other power forwards in the league.

The "Dream" and Murphy Finishing School

When the student is ready the teacher will appear. The teacher will appear anyway when the enrollment fee is paid.

look at who they are playing against.

    Horford, Shelden, Law, Solomon.

the Bulls will have Tyrus and Noah. everyone else will be weak.

I wonder who the players will be to round out the Hawks roster.

It's only Summer League but our frontcourt (our regular season rotation minus Zaza/Smoove should dominate).

For the people wanting Yi ?? What position is he going to play. He's only going to take time away from Smoove and Marvin and they need all the time they can get to improve... Forget what he could do for business we would suck with him ....

I like Yi and think he's going to pass Marvin by and form a solid and versatile forward combo with Smith. I don't think you pass on someone who's going to be better than what you have, just because you have it. I think of it as looking to the future rather than trying to cover up past mistakes.

The Grizzlies might just bite at that. They are having trouble deciding between Joakim Noah and Mike Conley at No. 4. This way they could have both. However, we're hearing that the Grizz are also taking to the Hawks about a deal that would send Gasol to Atlanta for the No. 3 pick. That deal would something like this: Josh Childress, Lorenzen Wright, Anthony Johnson and the No. 3 pick for Gasol.

Is it time for a roster turnover ? love.gif How about a definite MAYBE.

I was in Newark last weekend to visit my aunt. Some little kid( no more than 5 years old) was throwing rocks at my car. I get out to say "Yo kid, quit throw them damn rocks" but my aunt stopped me before I could get to him and said "just be thankful, that he's just throwing rocks". I agreed and went in the house.

I went up for a funeral last year in Newark for a "step grandmother". Not many ladies like this. She was married 2 times in her life. One was to a widower (male) with 6 kids and the other to a widower (male) with 5 kids. The constant noise with ambulances, police cars and police helicopters was scary. I thought 9/11 was occurring again but I was told it was a typical tuesday afternoon in Newark.

P.S. She outlived 10 of the step kids as one of them was present at the the funeral. My step grandmother was 93 years old.

Make that maybe 3 from New Jersey. I grew up in Newark and East Orange but I have been in THE ATL several decades and still have a sister in Edison. thumb3d.gif

The Shelden pick got leaked Because Shelden's agent leaked it in order to get his other clients better draft positions. And it worked too. At the end of the day, Tellum had three clients and three promises. Unfortunately, the only promise we ever hear about was the Shelden promise. He also leaked the other promises too.

Who does Tellum have in this draft? "or" what agents have Horford and Wright. Has the Chinese gov't hired an agent for "Y!" ?

  9. This is an extreme homer trade. Beidrins is as untradable for them as JJ is for us.

Their only hole on the roster is at pf so they wouldnt want Chill. The only guy on our team that they would want is Josh Smith and even then they wouldn't give up Biedrins.

Can you blame him for PIPE dreaming. Yi at Golden State would be a huge "business" move. With the media and the off the charts Asian population there. It would be standing room only throughout the season. bannana_guitar.gif

  10. This from a Laker season ticket holder on RealGm. Dr. Buss has emailed the following: We are aware of the media reports. However Kobe has not told us directly that he wants to be traded. We have made it clear that we are building our team around Kobe and that we intend for him to be a Laker his entire career. We will speak directly to Kobe and until we do that, we will not comment publicly about this.(end of quote) Season ticket holders are asked to respond to a dedicated email address identifying themselves by their season ticket holder account number and that replys will not be immediate.

Ok how about the fact that Kobe probably won't want to come here and I doubt cheap @ss Steve Belkin will approve this trade.

Kobe would prefer a team that is 1 player away from contesting for a championship like Dallas or Phoenix (Amare and filler for Kobe). He would like to have Jerry West come back. That is not going to happen. He will not want to come to Atlanta. There is no package we could put together to have the remaining cast as not playoff ready but championship caliber. He wants to win another now because his window of opportunity is closing.

What other team could he go to that would have a better player next to him than Joe Johnson?

He would be looking for a "TEAM" not another player. Would he also trade the likes of Dr. Buss for the Atlanta Spirit or Belkin and Mitch Kupchak for Knightmare to build this "TEAM" around him. Please answer that question.
