If Phoenix was all for this trade, don't you think it would be best to act like they are to try and squeeze a little more out of the Hawks/T-Wolves. It's like buying an apartment .. you don't want the landlord to think you love it or else you can't get a better deal.

Of course they would deny this .. what's the point in verifying it?? It would just piss Amare off more if the deal doesn't get done.

I think as the team stands we are a borderline playoff team, barring injuries ... Billy can't screw the draft up that bad can he?

The longer these trade talks go on, the more disgruntled Garnett is going to get ... there have been no recent declarations that "We are not trading Kevin Garnett" ... there is no turning back now, and they've said they want our picks, so either way .. I think the Hawks are getting someone huge out of this.

Chad Ford was just on ESPN saying the Hawks, Suns, and TWolves are talking 3-way trade .. with Garnett to PHO, Amare to ATL, and #3 and I'm not sure who else to the Twolves ... that'd be fantastic assuming Garnett doesn't want to come to ATL

Yea, I'm not necessarily an advocate for Conley at #3, I definetly think it is wayy early, but I think Conley/Williams is much better for the Hawks than Horford/Critt or Law. Ideally, I'd like to do something like (if we can't get Gasol), trade the #3 to Toronto for Calderon and a first next year then the trade down situation for Williams ... but clearly none of this will happen, where the hell is the Sean Williams talk anywhere, has he done nothing in workouts?? I love the guys intensity though.

I'm new, I'm a Hawks fan living in South Bend, IN (grew up in Conyers) .. haha. I've never heard of another person liking the Hawks up here, so I've been reading this board religiously for awhile now. Anyway, my ideal draft would be for the Hawks to take #3 Conley (because we have to, Ford's tier system makes A LOT of sense), then I really want them to get Sean Williams somehow (who know one is talking about). I realize he'd undersized at 6'10 but he has Ben Wallace potential defensively (who can actually make a FT and his servicable on Offense). He and Josh Smith would be terrors downlow, and he will fit into a faster paced style. If you take away the fact that he got kicked off BC, Williams is a lottery lock. I think he'll come in with something to prove, you don't go to BC if you are some hopeless thug .. he'll be fine in that respect. Taking him would also allow the Hawks to trade down a few spots for a second round pick which could be used to grab Jared Jordan who's got a ton of potential as a pure PG.
