Trae gonna dominate the rock. The only time he doesn't is when he's cold as ice scoring the basketball.
Give me your three moves you said they have to make to get better.

I wouldn't laugh. Atlanta could be really good with 3 key moves.
I agree they may be close. I think it's fixing the front court. What you think?

Every perimeter player is better not getting full time Trae dominating the rock. In the 2nd unit, the ball flows but our defense can't handle Hunter off the bench. Without him, we can't guard no one on the perimeter.
I got you. How much better would we be if the ball was moving on the first unit without Trae dominating the rock. I think Q is trying to work with him but bad habits are hard to brake.

Bruno killed the team tonight.
Do you think Hunter is better coming off the bench. I'm not sure.

Charlotte announcer said you can get anything you want against the Hawks defense.

Some thoughts, Fernando can't make a crib. Tre Mann is eating Trae's lunch.
Is Hunter better coming off the bench?

Eh, I didn't read much of your conversation. I refuse to miss an opportunity to hate on Maxey. I feel he's overrated regardless of Trae no-Trae.
Thanks for being honest. I can respect that.

I wasn't talking about Trae but let's get it straight Trae still has his warts. Q is trying to help him work thru them but he still falls back into his bad habits of dominating the ball and trying to win the game by himself. Hopfully he takes to the coaching and becomes a better player. It's not all about stats.

Brandon Jennings and Saddiq Bey also have 50pt games.
Maxey has been terrible without JoeLLLL aka in the Trae role. Wake me when the eggsperts say a peep about it.......

This makes no sense at all. Wasn't comparing Trae to Maxey. The Bey and Jennings statement is random as Hell. Maxey is absolutely a different player than those two. Maxey is a young player that is still evolving. Quit whining about Trae . I wasn't talking about Trae but let's get it straight Trae still has his warts. Q is trying to help him work thru them but he still falls back into his bad habits of dominating the ball and trying to win the game by himself. Boy is that random.Bey and Saddiq have nothing to do with Maxey. Maxey had a couple of below average game but he also scored and averaged 25. Why do you guys get in your feelings about Trae all the time. I was making a comparison between the two. Maxey's production stands on it's on. Two different ballplayers.

Two below avg games. Not comparing him to Trae. Still averaged 25. Can't dismiss the fifty piece like it didn't happen.

He was balling with Embiid getting all the attention
Not sure that is correct. He went for 50 without Embid. Production has remained steady when healthy.

Didn't Maxey go for 50 without Embid. Just asking not sure. Not sure that there has been a reduction in his production without Embid.

Was really just late in the game. First 3 quarters they were moving the ball well and didn't have a ton of iso.
No excuse. Have to be mentally tough enough not to revert to old bad habits. I will give them and Q credit for they have improved but they have to execute under pressure. A work in progress.

The ball stop moving. Trae playing iso Trae
Glad you said that. I hate watching the Hawks when he is pounding the ball 20 out of 24 seconds then throwing a bad pass or forcing a shot. Hawks are much better when the ball is moving and Trae's not hunting assist
-
Really thought Gafford and Wright could have really helped the Hawks. They could have Injected both energy and defense for a team that definitely needs it. Not sure what the Hawks are trying to accomplish.

I was hoping the Hawks kicked the tires on Daniel Gafford. I think he could have helped with his size, rebounding, rim protection and defense. Especially with the Hawks playing better and working harder on defense.

Hawks are a 2 1/2, 3 quarter team but can't finish in the 4th quarter
Lacking size, rebounding and defense needed to finish out games. Also they don't have anyone but Trae who can consistently get to the foul line. Fix these short comings and you got a team. Otherwise you have a team that battles for 3 quarters but comes up short in the 4th.

Hunter 's ascension has been impeded by his lack of a handle.
Bruno would get more time uf he could finish around the rim. He misses way to many bunnies/cribs.

Hawks can look at the Cavs to see what a team with a good backcourt can do with a good front court that has size, scoring ability and plays defense and rebound. By adding a talented big or two who have size, play defense and can score some would totally turn this franchise around. I still think Wiseman can help some. Remember bigs sometimes take longer to develop. This along with a consistent 18 pts a night from Hunter and good defense . Is this too much to ask for especially at his price pt.
Not winning a championship but firmly in the playoffs looking for one more impact player to compete for a chip.. Finding these players won't be easy but it can be done.
Finally, I Hate how AJ is being used. This is looking like a wasted year. We know he can shoot but he just needs to rebuild his confidence . What is going on here? Why was he away from the team? I would love to see him and Bufkin develop as our second team backcourt. Gives use a backcourt with nice size. The Hawks are not in a position to totally miss on a first round pick. Are you telling me he's beyond development. Come on man I'm not buying it. Play the Man !!!

Once you realize that they are not bums.. you may understand better. When Minny loses in the 1st round, they will realize that they are spending way too much. If we can give them a good mix of players, expirings, and picks.. we can get KAT. Mark it down.
We don't have a good mix of players and draft picks to give them. We traded away our draft picks and the players you are referring to are all underperforming. Why would I do that , to make you feel better. If Kat can't lead his team past the first round why do you want him anyway. It ain't happening.
Mark it Down !!!

Im right there with you on OO that man has severely disappointed me and my lord was i super high on him after the 1st year or 2. Either the scheme is to hard for him or he is as soft as tissue mentally and him not being given the starting C position has made him sulk and not put as much effort in. I don't know which it is but if this is the best he has in Quinns scheme then he gotta go with other players like AJ, Hunter, maybe even Bufkin or bogi to get a star replacement which as you said KAT would be perfect.
Minnesota is not giving up Kat for a bunch of Bums. Hate to bust your pipe dream .
Why would they breakup their team so that you can get better. It makes no sense.
-
So you want to get rid of Murray ,Why? For some scrubbs and some mid to late first round draft picks. Makes no sense. It only pushes us further back in our rebuild, especially with his team friendly contract. We have other players we can get rid of. Build around Trae and Murray and spend the rest of your assets on fixing your front court. I've been saying this forever. It will be a mistake giving Murray away. The Heat broadcast stated the trade rumors should be put to rest. The back court isn't our problem it's the rest of the team that's not carrying their weight.

Siakim isn't old and he will be able to run with Indiana. I really wasn't in favor of the trade. Ultimately we may have to trade DJ to get the draft picks and pieces we want but I like the Hawks backcourt. I think Trae is learning how to play Quins style and starting to get off the ball more. If we can develop AJ and Bufkin we are set in the back court. Our biggest problem is in the front court. If we can straighten that out we can compete. Can we upgrade the center and small forward positions as well as the backups. It won't be easy and we still will have warts but we can compete.
Fix the front court and it's game on. The Pacers are doing it. Is there personnel really that much better than the Hawks?
Clutch ballplayers like Trae and Murray don't grow on trees. They don't run from the big moment they run to it. There aren't many of those in the league . So if you got one you better build around them because it may be a long time before you get another one.

Thanks, is AJ's career over with the Hawks? The Hawks can't afford to miss on first round draft picks.
I'm a big fan of Jordan Hawkins on the Pels, heck of a shooter.
I also believe Edey is draftable maybe with the second first rounder or a trade back into the second round: .
Speaking of immobile bigs why wasn't Kofi Cockburn never given a look. He could score and carve out space in the paint. No he couldn't play on the perimeter or become a starter but he could do what he do for a few minutes a game by adding physicality. Knock a few of bigs who come to town trying to bully the Hawks. Also he can't be worse than no layup making Bruno.
Lastly I was hoping the Hawks developed the second team of Bufkin and AJ as a big backcourt that can shoot but that is looking dismal at the moment plus the Hawks don’t have a stellar reputation of developing ballplayers.
Thanks for the answer, I appreciate your time and answer.
