Can someone please tell me when NBA teams can begin signing players who were not drafted yesterday? And, can anyone give some names of some players (any Centers?) the Hawks might want to consider signing?

Just curious if anyone has read/heard any rumors if the Hawks are trying to acquire (trade, Free Agency, etc) another Center to add to their roster. I thought they might take a chance on BJ Mullins in the 1st round and if not in the 1st round then maybe go after one in the 2nd round. Are the Hawks happy/satisfied with Horford as their starting Center and ZaZa as their backup (assuming the Hawks resign him)? I really like both players but sometimes I think it would be nice to have that 7 footer in the lineup to compete with some of the other 7's in the league. Could there be some possible deals in the making by the Hawks?

I have to confess I do not know much about Jamal Crawford other than the fact I would take a Wild Guess that he will get more playing time for the Hawks than the combined totals from Acie Law (underused?) and Speedy Claxton (huge disappointment!). Can someone please tell me if Crawford is strictly a shooting guard who will spell Joe Johnson (wouldn't it be nice if Johnson is not totally worn out by playoff time!) or can Crawford also play the PG position on a part-time basis? I have only seen the videoclips of Crawford that are on this Hawksquawk message board but from the little footage I have seen he seems to handle the ball pretty well.

I agree with the Tyler Hansbrough and Patty Mills picks although I would not be too upset if the Hawks select BJ Mullins with their top pick (but, I am guessing there is a good chance none of these players will be available at the spots the Hawks are selecting).

Seems like the Hawks have made several additions to their roster in the past few weeks. Can anyone tell me if they are pretty much done or do you expect them still to try to add another Center to the team? I am hoping Randolph Morris will able to provide some help inside with his size and strength and maybe since he is still young he will prove to the Hawks and the NBA that he can become that quality NBA Center that some had thought a couple of years ago.

I am very disappointed that the Hawks don't seem to be making in progress in signing Josh Smith or Josh Childress (both very key players to the Hawks team). I might be reading this wrong but it almost seems to me that the Hawks might lose both Josh's and the best they might come out of this is if they can get two other teams to do sign & trade deals with them. Of course, now with Greece in the picture they very well might not get anything in return for Josh Childress. My best case scenario would be for both Josh's to sign with the Hawks but somehow I am not too optimistic that will happen.

Does anyone have any updated news on Kwame Brown and/or Randolph Morris? Are the Hawks trying to sign either one of them and which one of these players do you think is the better fit for the Hawks? I know very little about either one of them but if I had to choose one of them I would take Brown.

Since the Hawks didn't have any draft picks this year and I know very little about the free agents they have signed during this offseason can anyone give an opinion on which players on the Hawks Summer League roster we should be keeping an eye on? Do any of these free agents have a good chance at making the Hawks roster?

Diesel, Thanks for explaining the Hawks situation! As impatient as I am to see the Hawks begin making some moves I do feel like #2 is the best route for the Hawks to take. I guess it is the waiting to see what happens and which teams goes after them and how much they offer that is making me impatient. And, even though I know the Hawks don't have much choice but to wait I am guessing that they are probably missing out on some possible players that they might be interested in trying to obtain. Hopefully, contracts with the Josh's will be addressed and finalized soon.

I think Al Horford played great for the Hawks and I hope he is a Hawk for a long time. But, does anyone know if the Hawks will be trying to sign (Free Agency, Trade, etc.) a Center to either back Horford up or to allow Horford to move to the PF position on occasions or are the Hawks happy/satisfied with ZaZa Pachulia? Do you think the Hawks will make any attempt to sign Kwame Brown?

I keep reading NBA transactions and rumors with hopes of seeing the Hawks making some moves to improve their team for next season but as of now I don't really notice the Hawks management making any moves at all. Have I missed something or have the Hawks really not gotten involved in the FA game yet this offseason? And, if not, is the reason for that because they can't really make any moves until they know what is going to happen with Josh Smith and Josh Childress (and, I hope they re-sign both these players)?

I was very excited when the Hawks drafted Acie Law and I am looking forward to seeing what his future holds with the Hawks. I seriously doubt he will ever be as good as a PG as Chris Paul but do you think he will be the PG the Hawks have been needing/missing all these years? I am guessing the Hawks are very pleased with the play of Anthony Johnson but will Law be getting more playing time in the near future and will he take over the starting position in the next year for two? Personally, I don't think Law will ever be as flashy as some of the other PG's out there but he seems to have a very good basketball IQ and seems to thrive under pressure (getting this opinion more from his college days than his Hawks games).

I would be thrilled to see the Hawks get Pau Gasol but I would also hate to see them lose Josh Smith (great young player and should only get better with more experience!). Hopefully, they can trade for Gasol without losing Smith, Horford (probably pretty much untouchable at this time?) or Williams (I think he is finally showing why the Hawks drafted him so high).
