  1. We will be one of the worst defensive teams in the league by far if Ferry doesn't trade or sign an athletic wing that can defend. We are going to have to rely on a lot of Josh Smith and Al Horford help defense. But I agree, I think our offense will be a lot more free flowing and we will put up a lot of points.. Almost like the warriors teams of 07-08, but on the flip side the defense will be questionable. I'm still excited to see this though. Can't wait for 2012-2013!

  2. Perhaps this is wishful thinking, but I just watched a lot of video on him and Aldridge was the first person that came to mind. He can range out to the 3pt line just like Aldridge and he has a nice face up game in the post. Also, he's a pretty solid help defender and rebounder. I'll admit I hated this pick when I first heard it, but after watching some video i'm seeing a LaMarcus type player. Comes into the league very skinny.. but has a lot of skills. He needs to put some weight on and maybe he can develop into that type player.

    Thoughts?

  3. Why are you guys saying if we get Monta Ellis would he take the 6th man role? Are you SERIOUS? He would not only be our starting PG, but he would be our new leading scorer and STAR.

    PG: Monta Ellis

    SG: Joe Johnson

    SF: Marvin Williams

    PF: Al Horford

C: ? Assuming we traded Josh Smith for Monta Ellis

    6th man: Kirk or Jamal

    Teague

    Zaza

    Wilkins

    Free Agent

That starting line up beats the hell out of what we have had over recent years. Monta Ellis is one of the BEST SCORERS this league has to offer.

Another reason I like this is because when Joe needs a rest you can just slide Monta over to the 2-guard and Teague comes in. Very speedy back court

  4. I understand and agree Josh played very dumb basketball tonight. Al was not aggressive and Joe went back to old waiting.. waiting.. waiting.. ok now do something offense.

What REALLY lost us the game tonight is rebounding. We lost the battle 58-39. If we didn't give up so many offensive rebounds we would have won or been much closer.

  5. We did our job. Our job was to at the very least split the games at chicago. taking both games would have been amazing, but we achieved our goal. All you guys do is whine about every little detail A game does not define a 7 game long series. We will bounce back at home. Keep the heads up for god sake.

  6. They just interviewed Jeff Teague and god did he sound horrible. He was very short with his answers, sounded tired, and didn't sound excited at ALL for tonights challenge.

For example, they asked if he was excited to start and all he said was, "Well we're gonna miss Kirk" that's it.. then they had to ask him another question. Hopefully he's just too focused on the game to interview with them.

  7. I really think this injury is gonna kill us not only defensively, but offensively as well. The closing line up of Kirk-Jamal-and Joe spread the court and we had 3 players who are capable of creating and hitting big shots.. Now Marvin's role in late game situations will probably become very important. I assume we will close with Jamal-Joe-Marv-Josh-Al. I don't know about you guys, but I am not a huge fan of Jamal at the point, I just don't think it works. He can create very good for himself, but i'd rather have him being set up by off screens for catch and shoot opportunities. The balls stays still when Jamal and Joe play the point.

A big question I have is about the Rose situation. I do NOT want Jamal guarding him. I suppose Teague will start and guard him, but Teague won't be in the game late in the 4th. Do you think we should try Joe on him? Maybe Damien Wilkins? This situation really confuses me with only one point guard on the team now. Larry Drew has some big decisions to make.

    Thoughts?
