If Dre’s healthy all season and ramps it up to 16/5/3 on 39% from 3 he’ll deserve every penny of $80mill.

This year is crucial for Dre. No extension if no improvement.

Would 16/5/3 on 39% from 3 and continued Tenacious D be enough for that $80-$90 mill? Not directed to you specifically, just a general board question. I think that’s where Dre needs to be to stick. At his peak in a few years I feel like he can ascend to 18/6/3 40% level, if he can stay healthy and works his ass off.

I think the original post here would really benefit from listing the player's name before the similarity chart follows.  @benhillboy

Fair point.  I thought the bolded print was enough.

Name in bold was sufficient for me. Interesting comparisons bhb, preesh.

Avatar bet? 🤝 (not me but anyone wanna take that bet :rofl:

@hazer having played fantasy basketball I have some issues with Justin. He shoots too much and doesn’t make enough of them AKA low FG %.

Could you make me feel better about that? 👂🏿

Somebody posted (last week or so) stats that show K’Von and Joliday have almost identical pts/reb/asst/3pt% over the last 2 seasons 🧐

  4. Liked ole Red Velvet, K’Von, or as I liked to call him The Huert. Has some real talent, will never forgot Game 7. That being said, his inconsistency and softness was maddening. Thanks though kiddo, much success in your future endeavors 👋

Bumping this since we're talking about expansion in the rumor thread. Can only protect 8...so who would you protect? This just got a lot more difficult after the draft and Murray trade -

    1. Trae
    2. Murray
    3. Hunter
    4. OO
    5. Cap
    6. JC
    7. Huerter
    8. JJ
    9. AJ
    10. Bogi
    11. Coop

As of today that’s gotta be the 8. Although  will likely change with another forthcoming trade.

I think Ayton definitely improves us a lot. I'm also of the opinion that Ayton isn't that far off from Capela defensively though. Plus, Ayton's age makes him a perfect fit for our timeline to be a longterm stalwart next to Trae and Murray.

Agreed. Ayton is only 23 and had a DRtg of 105.2 in ‘22 (has fallen all 4 seasons in the league). Clint is 28 and had a DRtg of 109.3 last year (has increased each of the last 3 seasons).

  7. Haven’t read the entire thread, but there’s this:

Ayton is only 23 and his 2022 DRtg was 105.2 (elite!), falling every year he’s been in the league…

Capella is 28 and his 2022 DRtg was 109.3, rising every year over the last 3 seasons.

Ayton’s DRtg should continue that falling trend, still a few years away from his peak. Capella’s will continue rising as he ages past his.
