Coach Skiles wasn't the issue in Milwaukee, I seen Brandon improve his game overall in Milwaukee, the problem was his personnel. The Bogut injuries took away their best player at setting screens and after that Milwaukee had to rely on BJ to be their #1 option on offense. It failed. They tried to bring in Ellis but Ellis and him couldn't mesh and it looked terrible. Milwaukee just didn't fit. It had nothing to do with coaching. He really improved under Skiles.

Just so you know... I'm all for Jennings here in Atlanta. Unfortunately I think we will be getting stuck with Ellis

I thought we had a competent coach in Budenholzer, surely he will do a better job than Boylan or Skiles did coaching up a Brandon Jennings. If Brandon was coming to play with Woody or Drew I would be a little more worried. Maybe Budenholzer can rein him in a little bit. I'll stop here because I may be getting a bit optimistic to post on these boards.

I knew the cavs were the front runners and would eventually sign him. I heard that playing with point guard like kyrie was a big factor.

And the fact that they were paying him 12M... I know it isnt garaunteed. Glad we didn't sign him.

Danny Ferry either needs to up the offer or move on. I don't want to miss out on Dalemberet if we are not serious in signing Bynum. I am sick of not having a true center on this team.

"Tanking" should really be disallowed in all sports... People pay top dollar to see competitive brands of whatever sport. Look we have had a lot of fun with this past group of Hawks... "Highlight Factory" playoffs - game 6 against Boston, finally making it to the 2nd Round. Zaza vs KG. Zaza vs Dwight and Jason Richardson. But let's be honest that fun amounted to squat and while those guys will be missed its time to start fresh...

You do not know me very well if you think that. I hardly ever pass judgement on player transactions around here because I hate getting into many valuation conversations unless they are blatantly wrong to me. Hence, I spoke out.

Fair enough, but would I be wrong if I said Zara was a "serviceable" big man at best and while he had some fun moments that riled up the fan base, he was a inconsistent stiff (term used lightly). A 7 footer that doesn't dunk and misses a ton of bunnies. Flailing around looking for fouls that weren't there... I hate to see him go because he was a fan favorite but at the same time I think it's true in all sports, fans tend to overvalue their own... Zaza is a classic example of that.

Zaza's game was never built on athleticism, so why would the achilles be an issue? He is all about positioning, heart, and hustle. He is a consistent producer and has been for the past 4 years in terms of per minute and pace adjusted statistics. There is a long list of vet centers who fit that criteria that were paid at least the average salary in the NBA. Danny screwed up here.
