  1. because he wasnt a superstar overnight. That what these fans want. Unless u come as an already built star the ship em out. They're as bad as our previous vet happy non developing coaches. Loser mentality I always talk about. They will make excuses all day for Marvin and Josh but the guy that's actually seriously developing his game and getting better gets the hate smh ...oh yeah these are the same fans ready to tab a 19 year old rookie french fry built german PG as the future of the team without seeing him play a minute on an NBA court lmao

While I agree with most of your points..... I believe you told everyone Acie Law was going to be a star in this league... Dude can't sniff China now... "Probably Woodsons fault"That aside Teague should be resigned and Chernoff knows nothing about the NBA, NFL, or MLB. So there's that
  2. I think it is more a statement that we aren't bringing back Josh unless we have to do it to land Dwight than it is a statement that Dwight will sign here because of Josh if you see the difference.

<-------- THISAnd this is the only reason Josh should be in a Hawks uniform.
  3. If Josh is a Hawk, that likely means D12 is a Hawk so I will be extremely happy then.

Is there anything that confirms this, Or is this just continued "speculation" that Hawks fans deliriously conjure up to make us feel better on the chances of signing Dwight Howard. There is very little evidence of them wanting to play together. "Friends" means little to nothing in this day in age of sports, and if it was that important to either of them why is this not being talked about in a larger scale now that Dwight is a FA???
  4. I agree with that too. Although, there is no way it's THAT ridiculous in a place like San Antonio or Boston. Especially not at playoff time. Bandwagon fans are not unique to Atlanta...but this is:

One of the biggest embarrassments in Atlanta sports franchise history, if not the BIGGEST...

  5. Contend, and the fans will come. Simple as that.

This is the truth. Atlanta fans are a fickle bunch. Falcons didn't show before Vick and then after Vick b4 Ryan and now the dome is actually a nice advantage for the Falcons. Atlanta didi the same thing to the Braves over the past 20 years too.. 2008 was the pinnacle of Hawks fever with this current bunch...The bigger problem IMO is the NBA fan bases in general.. Stern made it a star driven league and that is how the fans respond. In the NFL loyalty is what drives fan bases. In the NBA the superstar drives the fan bases. I actually think that it is more of a fundamental flaw of the NBA than just Atlanta. Even when Miami travels to a city like San Antonio there are bandwagon Bron Bron fans there...

  6. FWIW, I listen to Milwaukee sports radio, my dad is from WI so I like to hear from local guys about Packers and such.... My teams are Packers Braves Brewers Hawks....Seems as if the Bucks fan base is licking their chops about receiving Josh Smith in a trade. They want to get rid of Ellis about as bad as we want to get rid of Josh.. No mention of anything involving Larry Sanders, and they think they would resign Smoove...

  7. This topic makes me laugh, I believe it was the 2010 season where the hawks had their best season as currently constructed, Josh was probably the biggest part of why they were the #3 seed coming into the playoffs. What happened during those playoffs.... I'm pretty sure that the Hawks got taken to a must win game 6, only to close out an overmatched Milwaukee Bucks in game 7. Only to get swept by Lebron James and the Cavaliers in the next round.Just one example..... I think it is safe to say that not having Josh is not necessarily a piece that is a MUST to win a championship. He is and will always be an extremely poor man's LeBron James, if we are even allowed to use those to in the same sentence.

  8. It's a player league. Look at what the previous "passive" coach is doing with premier talent. Mike Brown won coach of the year with the best player in the league and was fired after BronBron left.... Then went to LALA land and we all saw how that went. If Josh wants to be that "premier" player, he can. He shows glimpses of how great he can be... But after 9 years in the league, if you arent that yet, it's no longer on the coach/es.... IT'S ON YOU!!!
