I'm not saying Rathbun isn't a good guy or doesn't do his homework. I'm just saying he seems to be star struck all the time with other all-stars and when the hawks are down, he kind of compliments the other team too much rather than giving me hope that the hawks are gonna come back. If it were ESPN i would understand, but not sports SOUTH. He does do his homework and does a good job of making Nique talk but i just always get mad when we're not doing well against the cavs and Rathbun is saying "Lebron is just sensational. Its not only his quickness but it's also his perfect face" Maybe i just get too emotional when we're losing haha.

That's a good question...I want to say we'd do better because of our wins and addition to the roster. But for some reason, i feel like what happened last playoffs was "magical" and it wouldn't necessarily happen with what we have now. simply because of the way we've played boston thus far. Plus Josh Smith not playing how he did last year. But by the numbers I'd like to say we would have won game 7! who knows. I want to just beat them ONCE this year!

but sometimes i just want to know that everything is going to be okay! not how amazing Lebron James is

Okay...I know we all love Bob Rathbun and I don't mean to drop the hammer but... Have you ever noticed how he always seems to be brown-nosing the other team? If we're getting beat he freakin talks about how good the other team is. If we're winning he still talks about the other team. I know its not a huge deal and it's probably not as often as it seems i think i just notice it now. But he is always talking about the other team or the superstar on the other team. Has anyone else noticed this? and while we're at it I MISS STEVE SMITH!

Finally, game night is here! Hawks vs. Celtics. Spent my whole paycheck on my tickets and I'm excited. All week i've been picturing Josh Smith doing a windmill jam, and me and all my fellow hawk fans going crazy. Me and my girl finally get there and I can't wait to get to my seats. I grab a beer and sit down and look out...ALL CELTICS FANS. I was surrounded by celtics fans. What's worse is, when it got gritty in the 4th quarter, all the Hawks fans left and there were only Celtics fans. It was so disappointing and depressing. I feel like the last little rally could have been a game changer if there were any Hawks fans left in the building. Is this a bandwagon thing because the celtics won the championship or a Atlanta thing? I've noticed the same thing with the thrashers, there are usually more fans of the other team than the thrashers. Is it because the Hawks are just now doing good and people haven't caught on? At a lakers game or something i could expect this but not when we have a "rivalry" with the Celtics. I was expecting everyone to be against the Celtics...

Doesn't matter too much. We still lost when Tim Duncan sat out the entire game...at home.

I was wanting to get all of the information / opinions I could on Mike Woodson. Obviously most people aren't the happiest with him. I was looking for what experience does he have on and off the court, what type of personality he has, what coaching style he has, should he have been signed after last year, which players like him / don't like him, good qualities, bad qualities. Pretty much anything you guys could think of. Thanks!
