  1. Yeah I want a stiff center with a heart ailment. But he can wave a towel better than anyone.

I swear u guys have a problem with every possible thing. Turiaf isnt stiff. He is an above average defender at the 5, but not on offense. All we need is 20 minutes from him and that is what he averages per season.

  2. I would love for us to net Ronny Turiaf in a trade with GS. I just watched one of his mixes, and he looked impressive. He had close to 60%FG and is a fiery defender.

Give back J.Crawfords expiring contact, Marvin + Bibby to GS for Monta Ellis, Ronny Turiaf, Vladimir Radmanovic's expiring contract.

Then we get Kyle Korver with the MLE to plug in at SF and be our sharp shooting wingman

    PG:Ellis/Teague

    SG:Johnson/Ellis/Crawford

    SF:Korver/Johnson/Evans/Radmanovic(far end of the bench)

    PF:Smith/Horford

    C :Horford/Turiaf/Zaza

I would like the versatility of this lineup with the motion offense we have coming

  3. Am i the only person who thinks that Joe Johnson may be abit to heavy at the SG spot. At 240, he is 20 pound heavier than the averageSG and would be the 3 heaviest SF in the NBA(behind Lebron, and Artest.) Joe seemed to add on weight after the 06-07 season when he averaged 25pts 4reb 4ast 47.1 FG% 38.0 3PT% (Best season stat-wise as a hawk)

If he were to get to about 220-225, I think it would benefit him on both sides of the ball.

1.LD doesnt want him making love to the basket ball, and with this new offense, he wont. He will move more with out the ball more scoring off screens, pick and rolls(One of the most efficient players in that category).

    2. His abillity to have a quicker first step attacking the basket (FT attempts is something that has been missing in his game)

3.This could also help him from wearing out as much torward the end of the season defending the elite guards and forwards of the league like has the past 2 seasons

    4. Help reduce the chance of injuries.

If i were the ownership, this would be something I would push. With the max money he received, he needs to maximize his potential, as does the coaching staff.

If Joe was to pull a big time FA this offseason like he said he is attempting to I would be ecstatic. We are two trades and a longterm decision away from being a true force in the east.

The longterm decision is deciding between Horford or J.Smith.

While Smith is exciting(16pts, 9 reb,2blk and 4ast, his maturity and on court decisions leave alot to be desired. His strengths are dunking in transitiion, rebounding, and weakside blocking. We would still be the highlight factory with or without him. He would be ideal trade bait along with Jamaal Crawford Chillz, Marv and Bibby to pick up a big time player(Paul,Melo) ,a bigman(Biedrens/Okafur), and a few minimum contracts. Horford is a good C, but will be a better PF. I say this because he has all the tools(B-ball IQ, mid range jumper, vision, Rebounder,athleticism/motor, and above average passer and on ball defender). He is a 14pt 10reb 1blk 2ast guy giving up 20-30 pounds out of position every other night as the 4th option. Put him at the 4 as the 3rd option and he could efficiently put up 20pt 10+reb and 3-5 ast guy. Im really not trying to bash Smoove, I think Horford will be a better all around PF longterm.

Al Horford (does this look like a C to you)

Some highlights to look at.. (possible acquisitions)

    Emeka Okafur

  4. Who has $10 million in cap space?

I thought we had the full MLE plus the 3million from last night. If its not quite 10 we could try to get mo evans involved in that trade as well to add 2 mil for our cause.

  5. With close to 10 million in cap space, it would be awesome if we could make that happen.

We would then send Josh Childress, Jamaal Crawford's expiring contract, and Zaza Pachulia to WASH for Gilbert Arenas and Javell McGee (Im pretty sure Arenas would be down for restructuring his deal abit)

    PG:Teague 11pts 6ast/Bibby 8pts 3ast

    SG:Arenas 20pts 7ast /Crawford 9pts 3reb/Evans

    SF:Smith/18pts 8reb/Williams 12pts 7reb/Evans

    PF:Horford 16pts 12reb/Smith

    C: Lee18pts 10reb/McGhee 7pts 6reb 2blks

  6. He's at least as good as Joke Johnson was and I expect him to be even better without the ball hog and a new coach.

i totally agree. He could become a nice piece in an offense with a facilitator and good ball movement.

im thinking 18pts 7 reb 3ast and 2stl. He knows how to get to the basket whenever he wants to, gets to the ft line, and has a nice stroke in spot up situations.

He has also improved creating off the dribble as well as his baby hook shot when he flashes across the block. He was reduced to being the 5th option guy when iso joe and craw dribbled 16 seconds off the clock. The main thing i think he needs to work on is finishing a lil better at the basket although he has improved in that category.

  7. He would be an inexpensive upgrade to our depth in the frontcourt. At 6-9 255 he could add interior defense and good rebounding. He has averaged about 4pts and 3reb's in just 11 minutes of play. I dont think he will come in and be a 15 and 10 guy, but i think he could be a 9pts and 7 reb player if given 15 or so minutes between the 4&the5.

  8. Thats the thing about this hire. The Drew supporters act like Drew has all this bball knowledge that he held back until the day he became a head coach. If thats true then he sold the Hawks short and didnt do his job the last 6 years. The Hawks gave this job to the lowest bidder.

Think about this. Just about any assistant who goes against a stubborn head coach wont have a job. He has to implement what his coach tells him to. People need to realize they are not equals. Mike Woodson learned mostly under Larry Brown. His thing was trying to run the whole show and allowing assistants very little imput.. If I recall, didnt Drew try to leave early on in Woodsons tenure, but was denied by BK? That could very well lead u to believe that their concepts clashed abit. Im very curious with the direction he decides to go with the team (Get a true C?,new pg?Josh or AL?,is unleashing marvins potential possible, draft/trades)

  9. Rumor has it David Geffin, arguably the biggest entertainment mogul in the World is in the process of buying majority of the Clippers and makes the clippers arena a gateway to all the stars. Just as much if not more than the lakers

With the Clippers more than 24 mil under the cap Geffin makes a move for Lebron and Callipari (He guaranteed Sterling he would snag LBJ)

Lets say JJ wants out of ATL to go to LAC and we try to broker a S&T:

Trade Josh Smith to GS for #6 and Anthony Randolph

JJ , the rights to Chillz ,Anthony Randolph and #24 to LAC for Chris Kaman and Eric Gordon and #9

    LAC lineup

    :

    PG:B.Davis/Collins

    SG:LJ/#24

    SF:JJ/Chillz

    PF:Griffin/Randolph

    C ;Jordan/MLE

    PG:Teague/Bibby

    SG:Gordon/Crawford

    SF:Williams/#9(George)

    PF:Horford/ #6(.Monroe)

    C :Kaman/Zaza

  10. We S&T JJ to Miami for Michael Beasly, and 1st round pick. (I say we get what we can out of the situation if at all possible)

We trade Josh Smith, Marvin Williams Zaza and #24 to PHI for Samuel Dalembert, Thadeus Young and Willie Green and #2

We trade bibby and J Crawford to Toronto for Hedo and Jack

Sign John Salmons with the MLE

PG:Teague/Jack (Jack would start early on till Teague is ready)

SG:Salmons/Green (Can create his own shot and get to the basket)

SF:Turkoglu/Thornton/Beasley (All slashers at SF who can get to the basket)

PF:Horford/Beasley (Horf will be even better at PF 20pts 10reb &5ast

C :Cousins/Dalembert(12 mil free'd up in 2011)) We would then select Daniel Orton w/the #18 pick

I think if we focused on being a frontcourt oriented team instead of guard oriented we will be a better team. Everybody on this roster can run a fast pace offense, as well as slow it down in halfcourt set. With the size at the F and C position, we can work defenses inside out leaving people open on the perimeter

  11. and next yrs 1st to Minnesota for Al Jefferson, and #4

We trade the rights to Josh Childress to OKC for # 26, and we select Dominique Jones SG USF. (With Salmons and Crawford both 30, and Crawford coming into his last year on contract, Jones would be prepped and ready for his departure

We would then use the MLE on John Salmons

PG:Teague/Bibby (Teague given the chance to run the show) (12pts 7.5 ast) (Bibby 8pts 4ast)

SG:Salmons/Craw (Salmons wont be JJ but he will fill in admirably(16 3reb). Crawford stays in his 6th man role(13pts 4reb)

SF:Williams/Evans (With a new offensive system, I believe Marv could be a good piece to our future puzzle (17pts 8reb)

PF:Horford/K.Seraphin (Horford will use his 15 footer, Sky hook, and post up fade-away more effectively(20pts10 reb 5ast)

    C :Jefferson/Cousins (Size,length,skill set and fresh rotation would be nice) A.J(17pts 9reb) DC(10pts 8 reb)

  12. If ZaZa doesnt sign with us We could pick up Sheldon Williams, Drew Gooden and Von Wafer. Of course S.Williams wasnt a top 5 pick but he would be good depth in our front court. He's averaged 4pts and 4reb in 12 min per night. He can contribute at 4 or 5. Drew Gooden can run the floor and give you 8pts and 6 reb every other night with a reserve role at the 4 and 5. Von wafer is a spark plug off the bench that could easily replace flip if he thinks he deserves a big raise. Marburry could be a cheap option if Bibby's deal falls apart.

    PG:Bibby/Crawford/Teague

    SG:Johnson/Crawford/Wafer

    SF:Williams/Johnson/Evans

    PF:Smith/Gooden/Williams

    C:Horford/Anderson/Williams

  13. Im all for it. He had superstar written all over him a couple of seasons ago. Lemarcus Aldridge is a high draft pick who's coming along and they have Oden and a couple other big men jockying for position. In our offense he would be a PF/C (6-11 250) who could average 10 pts, and 6 or 7 rebs in a limited role.(15-20 minutes) 3 to 4 mil per wouldnt be bad at all.

  14. I would sign him to an offer sheet at about 4-5 per year. With KG, and Powe coming back healthy, they may not be willing to come off that much money. When KG went down he was given more opportunities and he did well, especially in the playofs

  15. How many think he would be a good fit. at about 7 feet 265 pounds, his outstanding range could allow things to open up for J.smith around the basket. What would be a fair offer. I would say 8-10 per

  16. Could Joe Johnson be playing out of position. I like him playing small forward. I dont know how the trade kicker thing works with Smoove, but i would deal him for Monta Ellis

We sign Ramon Sessions,Sheldon Williams, and Channing Frye

    PG:R.Sessions/Acie

    SG:M.Ellis/Terrence Williams/M. West

    SF:J.Johnson/Evans/T.Williams

    PF: Horford/Frye/S.Williams

    C: ZaZa/S.Williams/Frye

This lineup would give opponents fits with all the different ways we could switch the lineup.
