The * official* unemployment rate is failing (albeit people are falling off of the rolls) and there has been a net positive job gain for the last few months now. Its improving. Then again, it simply has to be default considering where we where.

We could get a quality big like a Camby to play at Center. Move Horf to the 4. If Smoove is here move him to the 3. Any trade we made must include Joe, hopefully we don't extend Craw so they are holes at the three and 2, but at least we would have something to build around in CP3 rather than still be without a floor general and get Dwight.

Its going to be a Melo situation all over again next year with both of these contracts expiring. I don't see either guy resigning with their current team. Rumors have it Dwight wants to come to the ATL, and it would be pure irony if we end up with CP3 after all. Most people want Dwight, but we need a floor general. Dwight is a smart dude, but him and Smoove on the same team would quickly become unbearable. CP3 is actually what this team would need. A leader. High IQ. Can shoot, drive, play defense AND put buts in seats. I would throw every player except Horf at the Hornets in order to get him. If not, I would settle for Dwight, but CP3 would be my first choice. MY gut says we're going to get one of these guys around the trade deadline next year. What say you?

Its because we aren't going anywhere with this current team and everybody knows it. We mind as well cut out losses and trade Joe and basically start over. If we stay the course we will be fighting The Bobcats for the 8th seed in a year or two. My thoughts exactly. We're going nowhere with Joe. Yao Ming was voting in to be an All star starter this year dude. Tim Duncan was an all star. If A.I was in the league, he would have been an all star. The East and NBA in general is devoid of quality SG's other than Wade, Kobe, Roy etc. All Star apperances are as meaningless as the Horse competition. Our ceiling is the 2nd round. Maybe we put up a fight depending on we face, but I doubt it. This team with Joe Johnson as "our guy" making max money is going nowhere but the ground. At best, Joe is a 20 PPG 5 rebound per game guy. Keep that around, and we will be fighting the Bucks Pistons and Bobcats for the 8th seed in a few years. We didnt make a mistake resigning him. The mistake was giving him a Max contract. Its one thing if he was a player that showed up every night and selling out Phillips.
