The volatility of our shooting gives us a very high ceiling, and a very low floor.  Because of this, there are no guaranteed W's on our schedule even if a team is load managing it's top 4 players.

The Hornets were very clearly the inferior team but we just couldn't make a damn shot.  I thought we got good looks for the most part, we only had 12 turnovers.  Should've been a fairly boring 10-15 point win if we just shot average.

We will have plenty of these games this season.  Beat a top team, then lose to a bad team when we can't shoot.  Hopefully we minimize the amount of games where we shoot 10% from three.

So it will be last season all over again, right?

My overreaction post from the first game is that Charlotte will be lucky to win 35 games this season, maybe far less as I see them unloading vets like Rozier at the deadline to pick up assets to build for the future around Melo, Williams and maybe Miller.

It is one game but these are exactly the types of games - meaning against mediocre teams - the Hawks need to win if they want to rise above .500.

I don't think CHA will win 25, much less 35. It was a terrible loss last night.

Just sitting down and we're leading at half by 1 despite Rozier looking like he wants another monster game and the Hawks are shooting 8.3% from 3.

Are they at least running the offense or is it right back to normal Trae ball?

the last 5 minutes of the 2nd were atrocious. Trae couldn't do anything right. Just terrible. Gotta need him in the second half.

  4. I think our bench is way too weak for us to get any higher than #5. Perhaps I'm wrong, and I surely wish I am, but there are some guys there that I don't see having much of an impact.

Our rookie doesn't look ready at all, AJ didn't look much better than last year (if any), Bruno is Bruno.

If we are to get into the top 4 of the East, I think it will be because of Hunter and/or Bey, but I just can't see it right now. Here's hoping Quin will do an excellent job at the helm.

It’s because he is limited to defending the paint only.  He can’t guard on the perimeter.

Still, IMHO it would be a huge mistake to have him dealt until the trade deadline. We must see what Quin's plans for CC are.

I'm in no hurry to get rid of one of the best rebounders in the league.
