  1. Everyone see's the game different. I'm sure some of Marvin's poor performance throughout the season has to do with Woody. I know Woody don't go out there and tell Marvin do what ever you want.

  2. Not signing onto this. Sorry.

Paying JJ $100M just so this team can continue to have problems with Orlando, Cleveland, and whatever EC teams win the summer sweepstakes doesn't make sense. This team is talented, but not talented enough, even with a better coach.

As Adande says, the Hawks are a "trapped team." I'd rather move JJ for some flexibility to see what the Hawks truly have in Teague, Smith, Horford, etc.

With a new coach, I bet all these players step up their role, and rules would be laid down. (locker room issues)

It's a bummer that all of this is happening at the same time; Mikes Woodsons contract ending at the same time as Joe's. With that being said, basically it's a risk now that we have couple options: Pay Joe and do what I said above and see what we are capable of under a new coach or not pay Joe and we fall to pieces.

  3. Nothing to do with the 2 dumb shots. He has vanished. Some guy named Illa Solvchk or igor kovelchuk or soda popinski has shut down our 2nd higest paid player for 3 straight games. He is being outclassed and outhustled. He didnt even show up at home last night, sad.

And it's just Josh Smith? No one else? My point is you don't need to point fingers at anyone. There is no I in Team. Everyone is to be blamed.

  4. Woody of course. Woody don't give enough plays for Marvin. How the hell do we know what Marvin is capable of if there isn't no plays drawn up for Marvin. It's Woody, cmon yall.

  5. Lmao. :laughing5:

Of all people to blame, you blame Josh Smith. Horford, Marvin, & Josh all played well (not good, but well) through out the game. I'm glad you base this off one game and two bad shots. Other than that, all of them played well. Also, Josh almost had a triple double in game 1 or 2. I forget which game it was.

    Once again, you're stupid as h*ll and I'm LOL at you :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5: :laughing5:

  6. Man, the Hawks really do have the potential to be of the best teams in the NBA next year...if the right moves are made. Not a bad thought 99Problems.

People don't realize how stacked our team is, and yes I'm being serious. Al Horford, Joe Johnson, Josh Smith are all pretty much All Stars. Horford is capable of having 25-15 night, Josh Smith is the runner up defensive player of the year and can put up a triple double on any giving night , and Joe Johnson is a star. (what..yeah..) With that being said, we also have the best 6th man. This team is not far from being the best team in the NBA.

Like I said, a new coach, point guard, and some depth to our bench, we would just dominate. I don't see how anyone would want to trade any of those 3 players. Under a new coach, our team has no ceilings and sky is the limit. :snowballfight:

  7. I'm watching TNT and Charles Barkley said the Atlanta Hawks are the "Denver East", because we have problems in the locker room. Then he spotted out in the huddle that no one was paying attention to Mike Woodson. They showed the Hawks in the huddle and everyone was looking different ways.

  8. Keep the core of our team that have been together for years. I think I heard from somewhere that by keeping the same players for years is pretty much a 4-5 more wins each season. That's not the point though. But Imaging keeping all of these guys together for another year under a new coach. We don't know what everyone is capable of doing with a new coach. I think the missing piece of this team is a new coach, point guard, and more depth to our bench. How do we lose with 3 all-stars (yes, even Josh) and the best 6th man. Somethings weird about that, right? How many 4th quarter meltdowns have we had this year? Way too many is the answer. With a new coach, point guard, and some depth to our bench, we would be unstoppable and one of the most exciting teams to watch in the NBA. I'm sure we can pick up some decent players this summer and resign Joe. I hope so at least.

    Anyways, those are my thoughts.

I believe we will win game 6 & 7 and put up a good series against Orlando, if not then those are the changes I think that need to be taken.

    Go Hawks!

  9. I was the leader of our baseball team who won 2 back-to-back state champs. When we lost, I felt like we lost because of me, even if I went 4-4 with 5 rbi's. I had the mind set through the regular season and playoffs that I never did enough and always used that as motivation to make myself and my teammates better.

  10. The leader take all the blame is PURE B.S.

What if Joe went out put up a triple double, 27, 10, 12... and we lose... you're saying it's his fault?

At some point others have to step up and do their job and if they don't step up, that's not Joe's fault.

What I'm saying is, JOE should take the blame and use it as motivation. I'm not saying 'blame it on Joe'. Without Joe, we wouldn't be where we are today.

  11. He's the leader. Shouldn't he take all the blame?

This is kind of off subject when it comes to sports, and I hate this guy very much, but a example of a good leader is Tim Tebow when he played at Flordia. I remember Tim Tebow taking all the blame and saying it'shis fault that they lost and such. I remember him being vocal and actually crying after a game that they lost a game and took all the blame, and stepped up as a leader and took ove, and eventually won the National Championship game. That's what I consider a real leader.

  12. I really don't know what to think about these posters. I guess a runner up defensive player is not good enough for yall. I think yall are just talking out of your asses from frustration. It's ok. Josh and Al are the two main players you want to keep. Get your head out of your *ss and cool down. :temperature: .

  13. People want to ignore the refs role...

    But here's the truth.

    1. 29-17... that's the FTA for the night. The Bucks attempted 29, we attempted 17.
    2. They were in the bonus most of the 4th quarter.
    3. Joe averages 1.99 PF a game... for his career.

My eyes saw several bad calls made by the refs to benefit the Bucks. Most of which were called on Joe. The refs seemed to be doing their part to take this game from us. Even to the point htat they spent 4 minutes examining Horfs three when it only should have taken 20 seconds.

I agree with you man. I saw everything too. I'm really clueless right now. Everyone wants to point fingers at who lost the game, but if you want to be consider a 'leader', then the blame needs to go the leaders. (Joe & Woody)

I can't see either of them taking the blame, and i'm not saying we lost because of them, but they are the leaders, so it's time for them to take the blame and step up.

  14. I find it quite weird that he fouled out. The refs seemed to help the Bucks on that 13-0 run. I just find it weird that Joe fouled out. I'm not saying we lost the game because of bad calls, but whaattt? Anyways, Woody needs to be gone. 30-18 4th quarter and this is not a rare sight. He has to go. This might be all frustration talking, but come on Hawks. There has to be some changes. I hope i'm not the only one who thinks this! :cant believe: :help wanted3: :help wanted3: :help wanted3:
