I think Basketball really took off when you watched Nique go to war... and of course the slam dunk contest.   If Social media would have been around... Nique would have hit like Josh Smith originally hit.   But Nique would have taken off to the stratosphere... after that.   You have to understand Nique took some dog teams to the 2nd round of the playoffs...  

We owned WTBS... and we were the original America's Team... probably because Ted won the America's Cup.  Dallas stole that from the Hawks. 

 

Fair enough. I'm not old enough I guess. I do remember as a kid, we would always sit at the coffee table when Bulls & Hawks played. Only time my dad allowed us to eat in the living room ha. I always remembered asking my dad, are we a Hawks fan or Bulls fan? He said, |we're Hawks fan but I hate/love Jordan. We will never witness this again!" Glad I grew up a Hawks fan though. 

You gotta imagine though 80s-90s Hawks, Braves - GA producing best rap/country in the country up to Vicks Era Falcons had the whole country eying down the state of Georgia.

Dominique playing for UGA and then playing for the Hawks had the city wild. Nique would be considered top 20 if social media was around then. Imagine if Jordan was in the time with social media? Internet would be broken every night. Good question though. A question I cannot answer since I am only in my early 30s. It is nice to see our owners make some signings now that we have Trae, something we haven't seen since...Nique? They both bring different excitements. Nique is what we hope Josh would become as far as highlights + defense.  Trae has made ATL one of the most exciting teams. So many people love Trae + Hawks and expressed how they're one of the most fun teams to watch due to Traes swag.

Thanks for the in-depth details about SHIB. A few months ago is the first time I've ever invested into crypto. I did see shibaswap came out last week? I'll have to educate myself a bit more on how to utilize shibaswap. I bought a good amount of SHIB and just planned on holding for a few years. If you do not mind, I may have to DM you and ask for some advice in regards to moving it to a different wallet. 

When I say a lot of money, I mean hardly any but have a lot of shares. Will it take off? We'lll see. 

Funny you mention $hib. I have a lot of money invested in $hib. I think they will take off, eventually. Not now, not next year, but in a few years. $hib is a great community and will continue to keep progressing. They just need to burn coins

Now I am forced to watch the Braves. Luckily, Freddie, Ozzie, Acuna, & Riley are playing pretty damn well AS OF LATE. I had my die hard Braves best friends (all college baseball players) watching Hawks playoffs over the Braves regular season games. And that's rare. Still salty that Mookie Betts made the ASG over Riley. Unfoturtanely, but fortunately, I am Steelers fan so I got nothing on the Falcons. Good luck? Georgia Bulldogs?? This is our year. I wonder how NCAA is going to shape up  with paying college athletes now. Will that help UGA or hurt us? Make sense why they'll be expanding the playoffs. Maybe we'll have a good bball team now. Until then, I'm absolutely positive media will put us like 6th seed in projecting rankings for The Atlanta Hawks but I bet we get wayyyy more national tv coverage. 

Luckily, I was to drunk to watch game 6. I think I passed out by 9 PM. The only game I was unable to watch due to acting like I was 21 again. I really do love this team and excited to keep the core rotation players with hopefully Nate at the helm. Trae, Bog, Kev, Collins, Capella, Gallo, Hunter, Cam, OO & Lou. I think we should have used Snell more often in the series.  Who else am I missing? Travis did a great job with the Lou for Rondo trade. Def helped us win 2 big games in the playoffs. One thing we know for the future that Nate may not know.. OO should be getting the most minutes against Noel & Lopez. Excited to see if we can add more depth during the off season. Crazy we went from our goal is to make playoffs to we are pissed we didnt make the finals. I think I mentioned it before, but I am stationed here in Charlotte and all of my fellow Sailors know me as a Hawks fan, and all of them were pulling for us.  They all are a big fan of Trae and the Hawks. They were talking about how Hawks are the most exciting team to watch, how we have that grit. We finally have our our own swagger. Charlotte radio hated us all season but yet were asking themselves "what player are we away from being the next Atlanta?" The haters will never admit, but we are for sure on the way to being a franchise team. Great drafting & building Travis. You have Georgians on notice. LETS GO HAWKS!

Good for Trae. He took all the blame. How in the hell did I always stick up for J Smoove? One thing I've always felt comfortable saying is saying F Al  Horford. After we win the finals, against CP3 (who they want to give a ring to), we'll be one of the most NBA teams televised next year.  I remember 3 yeaars ago people hyping us up and we'd win the fan vote as the "free NBA game" on youtube. Guess what? We're here. IDC we lost by 100 points after we stole Game 1 from them. We're about to take this to the house. 

I do not want to get on RealGM, but I feel like getting on to do reverse psychology. As my username on there is "AHawks89" pretty much saying I am a Hawks fan start a topic being like OMG TRAE & THE HAWKS OVERRATED. WE GOT SO LUCKY TO WIN AGAINST THE TOP 2 DEFENESE IN THE EAST. NATE IS TRASH! TRAE IS OVERRATED TOO!!" I would love to see how people respond to that haha.
