I always thought Milllsap would be a good fit in Orlando next to Vucevic. They may be in playoff contention next year.

I am guessing that we used our cap space to get him without sending any contracts back to the Spurs. In this case we should have very little cap space left and we can resign Millsap only with his early Bird rights, which is about 16 mil per year. I guess this means Millsap is gone to Orlando unless we open up more space by other trades.

Or it's a one year panic/blip.   It's happened before i think.

I was thinking about that also. Are teams overreacting to the rising cap and giving away huge contracts or are we being unnecessarily cautious. I guess we will understand in a few years.

We should go all out for Harris. He has a higher ceiling than Carroll and is younger.

First, not having a dedicated Mega Offseason thread hurts the forum imo, too many threads to follow.

Other than that if we get Harris, we can shift the loss of Carroll but losing Millsap for Splitter will hurt...

DMC will easily get 12 mil per year, maybe even more.

I was really impressed with Aminu in the playoffs. I am not sure he can immediately replace DMC though. Maybe better suited as a Thabo replacement.

I think Detroit would be better off with Millsap or Draymond Green rather than DMC since they already drafted Stanley Johnson.

My one problem with the draft is that if it took two 2nd rd picks for Washington to move up 4 spots, couldn't we have given up one or two 2nd rd picks to move up to #13 and pick up Booker?  Shooter, high IQ player, young... He could even be a Korver replacement in 3-4 years. Well I guess Bud believes that guy is Th Jr.

I hate this trade but I have faith in our management (well kind of). Of course if Oubre reaches his potential then it will look terrible.

For what it is worth, the Knicks fans are in disbelief that they got a 1st round pick for TH Jr.

Philips Arena wouldn't even be allowed to drink alcohol, it is that young.

Cedi Osman.  Let him play in Turkey and Euroleague for a couple of years. If he develops a more consistent shot, bring him over.

Does anyone know when the uniforms will be available in Philips Arena? I would love to see them in person. Also will they have the shorts on sale? 

White uniforms were my favorites initially but I think I like the red ones more now. I may buy both the white and the red one. Good job Hawks...

Anything would be an upgrade over our current uniforms. Still gotta give credit to them for trying something original.

- White jersey is my favorite. Probably gonna buy it.

- Red characters over black jersey is not a good idea. If you compare the "ATLANTA" of the white and black jerseys, you can see how indistinct the characters on the black jersey are. The "HAWKS" on the black shorts is barely even visible...

- Similarly red jersey would have been awesome if they wrote "ATL" with lime green instead of black and if they hadn't used that weird font. What is wrong with the "A"? They are still better than the black jerseys though.

Overall I like the uniforms, could have been better though.

As a lifelong fan of their rival (Galatasaray), Pero would be dead to me if he goes there.

Definitely DMC but he will be paid more than 10 mil per year.

Big time dream:

- Trade away Thabo+Mack+Scott to Philly (10 M cap space opened).  Attach a couple of 2nd round picks if necessary.

- Keep Moose, renounce everyone else. Cap space should be around 34 M.

- Offer M Gasol 20 M per year, Carroll 12 M per year, Tavares 2 M per year.

- Draft K Oubre to replace Thabo. Draft Cedi Osman with the 2nd rd pick.

- Sign Pero as 3rd center for vet minimum.

It'd just be a single-sign on Sap's part, since Favors is locked down on a team-friendly (IMO) deal through 2018 ($12 million next season, $11 million in 2016-17, $12 million in 2017-18, down from $12.95 million this past season).
