Based on my Euroleague translations, Delaney projects as an average or slightly better backup point guard.

It's always funny to me how US reporters don't know shit about Euro basketball. Last two years Delaney was best Euro pg . He is better shooter then any NBA pg and better playmaker then at least 2/3 players here. And he is in his prime now. Only question for me is how he will translate his game from Euro to NBA. Can he be new Dragić or underachieve like Navarro.

Thanks for the info Serbian hawk. If you don't mind me asking, what do you mean by assists in Europe count differently?

    Yes.

Well, It's not easy to explain cause FIBA rules are bit crazy and they change them every year, but something like this:

In Europe you can't put the ball down, you can't dribble after you get the ball,  you must score after direct pass.  So, if you get the ball in the lane you must score, if you rotate of fake with the ball down - it is not assist. Also, creating for shooters, like Ebert said,  is not consider assists also, only at fastbreaks. They consider assists only when is obvious that you created 100% field goal from your pass to your teammate.

  3. Ressler said one way ownership will show its commitment is by “having a payroll that is between the cap and the (luxury) tax but never below the cap, having real payroll, having a commitment to keeping a quality team.”

So as a Hawks fan....how do you see this changing things on what we will do in free agency?...personally the only thing I can think of is that money won't be an issue for once for the Hawks and that's huge! Ressler saying this publicly just got us an inch closer to a star player.

    Great news!

  4. In Europe they ALWAYS foul in situations like this. ALWAYS!

You have 3 points advantage and no reason to risk it. Just put them on the line. I think this is a good school to never ever put ourselves in this position again.

    Go HAWKS!!!

  5. He very well could have reported this! And even if he never reported it I think you'd have a difficult showing me why that is so bad... it's not easy being a whistle blower.

When it comes to politics, yes, but sport is another animal. Basically, two years he was hiding the master plan to create "whiter audience" in the arena. It's incredible.

  6.

Is it Neven like Seven, or Neven like Even Steven?

    ~lw3

Yes, like Seven. His last name is Albanian and is very hard to pronounce in English (he is Croatian coach - half Albanian, half Serb)

Also, I bet Ferry will now look at Mario Hezonja (remember this name) the best new kid from Europe.

  7. I think people are pissed not because Sefalosha, every team needs defender from the bench, but for throwing 4 million cap space, and for the dream they head that Ferry is gone realy offer money for some of the big names. Now, the dream is over, this GM from the start didnt have any intention to make something like that in Atlanta.

Basicaly you have two tipes of GM with. Ones who risk and failed miserably (like Prokhorov in Nets), or now in Houston whit Morey – they are taking chances and that's why they will be contender next year.

And second group – GM with no balls to risk anything like Ferry. It was evident last year and now is crystal clear: he is p*ssy! We know he is gona sign Deng, maby try sign and trade for center, and that is all for the Hawks. We will be a playoff team, maby second round team next couple of years, but nothing better than that. And just to be solid is worst situation for any franchise.

Sorry for my bad english and some swering.
