  1. Dwight would be the Superstar the Hawks have needed the past 20 years but Horford is my favorite player and is good for the team. Smoove would have to stay in the A so we would be flopping bad contracts. Joe for Hedos. I wish there were a way to keep Horford in the D12 scenario but I believe it would be impossible. I doubt D12 will come anyways.

  2. How about neither, Ive had enough with has been scrubs coming to Atlanta. Experience is good but at the same time the team as a whole needs to get younger. Heck might as well go out and try to get Allen Iverson too. Let's just recreate the 2001 All-Star game. Elite players only wanna come here when they are on their last leg in their career.

  3. I agree Pau is on the decline in his career, he isn't terrible and would be a good addition to the team for the short term. He would probably just be a one year rental so I definitely see your point. Id rather trade with Houston and get a couple picks plus a filler than get Pau. But either way it's all good to me.

  4. I know division titles don't always mean anything but the Hawks haven't gotten one since 1994 and only have 4 in franchise history. I realize they finished the season only 6 games back from Miami but if it isn't Miami beating the Hawks out it's the Magic. The division isn't considerably strong, the Bobcats and Wizards were the two worst teams in the league. I do believe that in the next couple years both of those teams will be much better. Also we all know the situation in Orlando. I want a championship or even a trip to the ECF but the Hawks need some extras banners hanging from the rafters. The Heat will be a powerhouse for years to come but the Hawks only finished 6 games in a shortened season. Now of course if the season were longer they probably would've finished more games out.If the Hawks can stay healthy, does anyone see any possibility of the Hawks beating out the Heat for the division title next season?

  5. I mind the deal now, but then giving him a max deal wasn't that bad. It just seems to me that he isn't as clutch as he was before be got the deal. Maybe its just me though, maybe since I feel he isn't worth the contract that if he doesn't get superstar numbers than he is a scrub. You're right he isn't a scrub but he needs someone else to help him on the court. Having Horford back will definitely help his ability to score.

  6. I believe if anyone is trolling here it would be you. You are continually commenting on my post, I didn't ask you to. If you know its not true or if its a bad post then say it. But Im not the one trolling here. Plus I can't remember his exact stat sheet for every single game played... I just know most games were very low and it seemed to generally be around the 10-14 points range. He is an overpaid scrub that isn't a genuine leader.

  7. Let's also remember that the only reason Joe is a consistent Allstar SG is because there aren't really any other great gaurds in the east. Also, everyone outside of ATL is going to vote for Joe because he is supposed to be the leader of the team, they just don't know how bad he really is. But yes I just read up on the amnesty thing more so it will definitely be better if we wait at least until next season. I didn't realize the amnesty will extend past this season.

  8. This is a once and a lifetime opportunity to wipe Joe's massive contract off the books for the season, I say jump on it. He is a very good player but he has obviously been declining every season. His numbers just weren't there this past season, and he is a terrible leader. Now if we do in fact amnesty Joe the Hawks will receive around $7-12 Million extra in cap room this season. Allowing us to actually sign a decent bench. This is the opportunity the Hawks need to rebuild. They can still trade Smoove, because as we all know he wants out and the whole "D12 to Atlanta" rumor will never happen. Hawks can go out and trade Smoove and Marvin on draft night to trade up and also get some good role players in return.

By doing this the Hawks can rebuild and still compete at the same time. They will still have Horford and Teague to build around and some key pieces and draft picks accumulated from trades. Also, they will have around $16-21 Mill in cap to go out and obtain extras. If the Hawks want to be contenders this will be their only opportunity to so... At least until Joe's contract is up.

*For those of you that do not know about the amnesty, here is a link.
