  1. The only move I want to see if us swap Horford for Howard.  I'm not exactly a big fan of Howard but he is a true difference maker when he is focused.  See how it works through April and then decide if you want to retain him or just blow the team up and start over. This team can get to the ECFs with a focused Howard.  I don't see them going anywhere with the current Horford and no Splitter.

  2. It's nice to see Millsap finally get some calls.  Now if he would just convert them.  This was the first game have I been able to watch in a few weeks and I liked what I saw outside of protecting the glass.  Korver and Dennis shooting well, millsap, Teague and Horford aggressive and looking to score.  Scott has really stepped it up on the defensive side of the ball.

Let's take 2 from Orlando and make it 5 in a row.

I would say the difference is when defenders have to stay close to TD and Manu it allows Parker free access to the lane and rim. We don't have those guys to keep defenders honest and from collapsing on Dennis - BIG difference.

Do what? Korver was the best spot up shooter in the league last year. His gravity score was only beat by Curry and KD I believe.  We were like 4th or 5th in 3pt%.  Our offense provided a ton of space for him to work.

The real difference is Parker had a ton of different moves around the rim and he may be the most innovative PG ever when it comes to finishing at the rim near a much bigger player.  Dennis has one move and it's the high bank shot.  His footwork around the rim is an embarrassment if you compare it to Parker's.

Comparing prime Tony Parker to 2 1/2 years of   Dennis?

This is what Pop said about a young  Tony Parker "He can get to the rim but he still needs to learns how to run the offense"

Dennis has to learn and is still learning to run the team.

This is what the stats have to say about Parker's 2nd year of regular PT vs Dennis's second year.

    Parker:  54.2% TS%, 5.1 OWS, .134 WS/48, 1.9 OBPM. 62.3% FG% at the rim.  49% of Parker's shots were at the rim or 3's.

    Dennis: 50.4% TS%, .3 OWS, .072 WS/48, 0.3 OBPM, 49.5% FG% at the rim.  71% of Dennis's shots are either at the rim or 3's.

There is no comparison between Parker and Dennis when it comes to being a scorer.  Parker was elite at the rim from the get go and he could punish you from anywhere in or near the paint.  Half of Dennis's shots at the rim lead to blocks or fast break attempts for the other team while he is picking himself up off the ground.  I hope that Dennis can become comparable to Parker one day, but his offense is not there yet.

You're pretty much describing Tony Parker. Aside from Manu (who's mostly been a 6th man btw) Parker has always played with guys who don't need to dominate the ball to score. Parker has always been ultra aggressive and looks to score, which causes the D to react and opens passing lanes. Teague does this as well when he's aggressive Teague but it isn't consistent and that just drive our coaches nuts.

The difference is prime Parker may have been the best in the league for PG's finishing at the rim while Dennis can't even make 50% of his shots around the rim.

Bad free agent and trade acquisitions? TIago, Tim, and holiday were meant to be complimentary pieces on a team that was knocking on the door to the finals. They aren't to blame. We had 4 allstars, this year we have 1. None of our guys brought it besides millsap

Where we are hurting, which was unforeseeable, is the regression of our backcourt. Up until this year Teague has improved every yr. Korver shot the ball significantly better last yr. That is the difference between a 1 seed and the 4 seed for us.

Would u have preferred bud to not make any trades? Again, you complain about who we acquired but who the hell else was available? No team is willing to give away promising young stars.

You seemed to have completely missed my point.  Millsap, Demarre, Kyle, Kent.  These guys weren't household names or promising young stars when Ferry poached them for next to nothing.

Who is available tho? Who is bud passing on? What is the asking price for said players? Yall act like he had a deal for kawhi or some shit smh

No one cared about Korver, Millsap, Carroll or Bazemore before Ferry made the deals.  Millsap may be the only one that would have ever popped up on your "who is available" radar.

Ferry's worst free agent/trade acquisiton was Lou Williams and that was only because he destroyed his knee.  Bud has already made multiple bad free agent/trade acquisitions in less than one year.

This team was doomed from the moment they let Ferry go.  It wouldn't be the Hawks without inept management though.

This has been explained several times on here and why I can't put out the numbers I know someone eventually will but the situation of DMC and Sap is completely different than Horford and Bazemore because we own Horfords full bird rights therefore we can go over the luxury tax to keep horford after we sign Bazemore which we have enough cap to give him for a higher contract that he's likely to receive. (All to my understanding but I'm pretty sure I'm right without getting into major details)

Now what I don't know is if the Hawks have enough cap to go out and get someone else after signing both Bazemore and horford, someone else can explain that part using the projected cap for next offseason....Anyways The only way the Hawks don't get them back is if they don't want to tie that much money into these two....if they don't feel they are worth it.

Ive questioned the Hawks ownership in the past about going over the luxury tax but we have a new owner that has actually already said he would do so if need be.

The owners have never said they would go in to the luxury tax.  They only said they are willing to go over the cap.

If this is true then I don't know what to say. Gambling that Embiid can somehow stay healthy at the cost of Dennis is insanity.

The 76ers aren't doing that swap unless they know Embiid is finished since a healthy Embiid is light years ahead of Dennis as a prospect.

  10. With Lillard and McCollum out, I would like to see us jump on them early and give our starters a chance to rest up in the 2nd half.  Detroit has been on a tear and it would be big if we can get a W on Wednesday after cruising to a victory tonight.

A win tonight will have us on a 50 win pace after 30 games and with only 4 games left vs the top 4 teams in the league.
