I see you're at the point of the "u mad, bro?" comments now. I'm certainly not mad, I've got no reason to be. [Deleted personal shot]

But please, expand upon what "your point" was in your previous post. I'll be waiting with bated breath.

You can say you weren't mad all you want but your words say different.  I can't believe such a smart guy like yourself would let a fool like me ruffle your feathers so easily.

The truth about my original post is it was a mistake.  I was under the influence of a little rumple and half-assed looking for tickets on my phone for about 5-10 minutes before giving up.  I'm not even sure if I looked outside of stubhub or ticketmaster since those have always been my go-tos for Atlanta events so kudos to you for finding tickets that I may have found if I looked harder.

So congrats to you for winning an internet battle today while also losing your mind over it.  Looks like I win overall :buttdance:

Uhhh no. They had lots of tickets available and I only took a snippet of what was available. What exactly is your point? That you have limited critical thinking skills to find tickets? And that you have your panties in a bunch about crowds?

You effectively went to another part of the country, looked for groceries by searching for Publix, found no Publix and concluded that part of the country has no groceries.

You look like a f***ing fool.

Settle down and breathe old man esteemed gentleman.  You seem to take this internet thing seriously.

Maaaaaaaaaybe the problem is related to Minnesota not being affiliated with ticketmaster or stubhub like the Hawks are? Just maaaaaybe:

OH SNAP WOULD YA LOOK AT DAT?!?! Your boy Hawksfanatic just found you 8 tickets to the game at $31 a pop.

Also, please tell me where you found those section 300 tickets selling for $30 last night because I would have loved to get my hands on that ......... to then resell.

Wow.  A whole 8-20 tickets really disproves my point.  It's still a middling franchise who has no recent success versus a team that has the second longest playoff streak in the league.  I do wish I saw this before the game but we ended up having a great time at the Ohio State vs Univ. of Minnesota hockey game.  There are tickets on stubhub for other Timberwolves home games as well.  You don't have to be affiliated with the team to sell tickets on stubhub.

I know this has been debated so many times..but the true fans of Atlanta sports teams (like us) are good fans.

The problem is we don't have enough people living in Atlanta that show any type of pride and fandom to the city. People move down here and root for their northern teams. Others just want to be trendy and root for a team like the Lakers (Kobe) when they haven't even been to LA.

I just get tired of seeing it year after year.

No kidding. I'm in Minneapolis and wanted to see @sothron team play tomorrow and there isn't a single ticket available on ticketmaster or stubhub.  Meanwhile,  you can find a Hawks 300 Hawks tickets for $30.

I guess charlotte isn't the only basketball crazy city in this country after all.

Like I already wrote in the chat, I don't get how someone wants to blame Dennis for that loss when the team is shooting under 37%
You all know I'm a fanboy and I know he had some really bad games recently but not tonight.

Like @BrazilianHawk wrote, TOR made the correct adjustments and Bud had no answer

You really had no issue with Dennis's play in the 2nd half?  I'm not saying he deserves all of the blame for this loss. I'm saying that he has been consistently bad throughout this season and he has helped cost us several games.  It's about time that Mack gets a chance to at least treat water with the second unit instead of being the MVP for the opposing team.

It would also be nice if Splitters fragile self was available tonight since Muscala weighs a buck 50 and Bud insists on having him play center.

That was Brian Windhorst's jaded view of things. But Kevin Arnovitz was very academic and well thought-out in insulting Windhorst without actually insulting him on a Lowe Post podcast.

It really doesn't make sense to believe that Bud attempted to make a power move, especially when Bud went on the record multiple times after February and during his COY ceremony that the team was built by Ferry. Windhorst just wants there to be turmoil to either get more clicks, he has some strange angle with Ferry (he was a Cavs beat writer when Ferry was GM), or Windhorst isn't very bright and/or great at relaying messages. I think it's a mixture of all those things.

Thanks for the link, I haven't heard this before.  Arnowitz's theory led me to re-reading some of the Windhorst story.  One thing I missed in the original story is Bud thinking the right move was for Ferry to resign when this first happened.  After my initial read, I thought the convo with Bud and Ferry happened late in the year after the Hawks found success.  I agree with everything in your 2nd paragraph now.  While I desperately hope to be wrong, I still think Ferry's firing will prove to be a huge mistake for the future of this team.

It isn't clear that Bud was making a power play there.  Remember, Ferry had been out for a year and  his return presented the risk that the focus would shift from all the positives of the Hawks to all the negatives of the Ferry/Levenson scandal.  Would Gearon have avoided leaking things constantly to the press to embarrass the team?  Does a pig fly?

That doesn't preclude Bud from making a power play to push Ferry aside and seize control of the team but it also leaves the door wide open that he just didn't want to deal with all the crap that would have come from Gearon's actions, community protests, and constant questions from the press about whether players would view the team as racist, etc.

Absent a tell-all from an insider, I don't think we can do anything but speculate on this.

In your opinion, is Wilcox Bud's equal when it comes to making personnel moves?  Do you believe that Wilcox is the GM in the same sense that Ferry was the GM?

Bud is not the GM.   He is coach and President of Basketball Operations.  I don't know how that ovrelaps but just saying.

    General Manager Wes Wilcox
    Assistant General Manager Michael Blackstone
    Rick Sund
    Juan Jackson

We have THREE Assistant General Managers???

It seems obvious that Bud has autonomy under the new setup and there are no longer any checks and balances like there were with Ferry.  Why would Bud throw Ferry under the bus if he was still going to have to answer to a GM?

Do you really think Wilcox has the power to overrule Bud?  I would guess that it's far more likely that Wilcox is a yes man to Bud.

Ferry is gone because he was a pompous a-hole.  If the dude was likable, he'd still be enployed.  The comment about Deng just solidified what his personna was.  Not racist.  Just an ass.

From off-season articles, it sounds like Ferry is gone because Bud made a power move for full control.  That move for full control will likely be our undoing if Bud continues to struggle in his role as GM.

Where are all the folks who thought Bud was invincible and Ferry was dispensable?

  10. Splitter isn't capable of playing more than 20 minutes per game without sustaining an injury.  His acquisition is looking about as good as the THJr trade.

We have taken a big step back at GM with Bud and yes man Wilcox.

I may be in the minority but I was hoping he wouldn't be suspended for this. I think he deserved to be kicked out of the game without a doubt but him being suspended NOW doesn't help our team in any way. The suspension is set to take place during tonight's game where the Kings play the Heat, our division rival.  Not only that, but the suspension's timing gives him a rest instead of having to play two tough games back to back.

Glad someone else gets it. Let the man play.

There was clear intent to harm with Cousins' swing.  It was not only an elbow put a missed punch, then elbow.

Teague clearly lost his cool and barely slapped a guy.  Big difference.  I encourage you to take a look at Booker (Utah) getting a 1-game suspension for a slap and compare that to Jeff's incident.  It's night and day.  Teague's was nowhere in the ballpark of warranting a suspension.

I only saw the elbow and it looked like it barely connected if it did.

I was shouting for him to be ejected last night but I would rather see him play tonight because of fantasy reasons.

I never saw the punch.  I only saw an elbow that looked like it barely connected or barely missed.
