Dude is Steve Nash 2.0
-
I've never seen someone so happy to make a pass on that one lol
-
Trae Young gonna be a star, no matter if he sucks or not. ESPN is gonna love to talk about him.
-
I think I can get 5 of us on this forum and take 5 of these SL Hawks (excluding Young/Collins/Spell).

Looks like he got his groove back.

Exactly this. He's gotta establish that he can and will take those bombs and that'll open up the offense. But sometimes feels like he's taking them just to take them.
I get that kids want to do the hero ball Curry does, but if he would just copy Steve Nash instead, we got something.

If Young would just use his range to keep the defense guessing, and use his passing as his #1 offensive weapon, he could be a real threat.

It’s official: Trae is a far better passer than shooter.
So we got an actual PG.
-
Dorsey does seem jealous of Trae and his 'green light' way of jacking up 3s.
-
Trae looks like he is gaining confidence.

Spellman is going to be our best player, isn't he?

Damn, an actual play. And a good one at that.

I'm not liking Dorsey's game at all. Classic 'I'm gonna get mine' summer league player.
-
He has to play Vegas. Can't shut him down now. The rest of the off-season will be 'Is Trae a bust?' that will do more damage than if he just shoots his way out of the slump.

Every time I say, 'Well maybe this is where he gets going' and every time, well........

Ayo announcers, we gonna talk about Allen failing to hit shots too or just keep riding Young down?
Aren't they Jazz announcers?

He was clearly hired to be the tanking coach. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Not concerned with Trae at all. A shooter like that doesn't become a bust as a shooter. He's just in a funk. If he was hitting his shots, nobody would be saying anything negative about his play.
Outside of the shooting funk, he has shown to have great court vision with his passes, some good defensive instincts that I didn't even knew he had, and hasn't been afraid of having the ball in his hands.
What he needs to work on though is finding ways around bigger guys in the paint with his lay-ups. That will come in time.
But so far, outside of missing his shots (who cares, summer league, we all know he can shoot), I have been impressed.

Would like to have Ulis as the back-up to Young going forward.

I haven’t seen the video but sounds encouraging. I’m pessimistic about anything related to Brett Brown but he’s our guy now so he deserves the benefit of the doubt.
And you got Spo who drags bad rosters to the playoffs and the only coach to get LeBron to defend to his potential.
Spo is so underrated it's crazy. Pat Riley, Spo, and South Beach should be attracting every top FA.

Could the reason why Dennis supposedly can't be traded, is because the Hawks want too much for him?
I doubt the Hawks are just trying to give him away for a few 2nd round picks and a bad contract.
I actually think we'd be lucky to get that. My belief is we would have to give up something for someone to take him. Legal trouble, diva issue, contract, all with not being a top 10 PG. We even showed our hand with drafting his replacement. What's in it for the other team at this point?
