Let's see how his growth is further stunted without Trae there to create John's offense for him...

I think he will be a solid player, with Trae and DJ it probably won’t be here long term, which kind of makes it a wasted pick.
I really hate that we passed on Whitmore though.
A team needs to go at least 9 or 10 players deep for a playoff run. Just because a guy might never be a starter doesn't make it a waste pick.
And we had Trae and DJM last year, but that didn't stop our biggest need from being another player who could handle the ball and playmake for others. There is a reason that type of player is who the Hawks targeted in the draft.
Not sure attempting to address your biggest hole on the roster should be considered a wasted pick, especially outside the lottery.

Who should you ride with, the answer is obvious, the fight you are having with yourself is who do you want to ride with. It's clear that's the Hawks twitter guys or you wouldn't have brought them up
Yes, the answer is blatantly obvious. I wasn't really torn on who to believe, that was sarcasm. I apologize if that was opaque.
While I truly value you bringing inside stuff to the board [and y]our scoops and info dumps are great, [but] the player evals, lets just say we don't agree very often.

It's interesting, if you look at Hawks related media Twitter it's full of people that love Bufkin and continually have thrown him flowers the entire summer league. Talking about things like how advanced he is for his age and how many things he already does at a high level, while acknowledging he still has to adjust to the NBA game.
But then you come here and are mostly told (and i emphasize mostly, not all) that he's a bum that is years away from being a major contributor.
I'm really torn on who to believe.

Jaylen Brown expected to sign biggest contract in NBA history worth up to $304 million, $70 million on final year alone
Adrian Wojnarowski on Jaylen Brown extension talks: It’s going to take more time. Brown and his agent have been talking with Brad Stevens, with Boston. Brown is leaving the country on Players’ Association business. They’re expected to re-engage again when he gets back. This is a deal that would be the richest contract in NBA history, it could be worth up to $304 million. In the final year of that deal, Brown will be making $70 million. When you’re negotiating contracts, it isn’t just ‘Hey, are we gonna give him the full amount, the max number?’ There are trade kickers that could be in the deal, player option years in a deal, payment schedule – there are a number of other things that go beyond the super-max Jaylen Brown is eligible for. These sides will continue to talk and they have a lot of runway this summer to get to a deal.NOPE! NOPE! NOPE!

That can't be sturt. No book length posts with circular arguments debating something nobody said in the first place.

Reminds me of a classic Kids in the Hall skit where one guy won't stop using "ascertain" in any and every conversation and his boss orders him to stop using it.

LOL ok.
On another note, I was reminiscing about last years trade for Murray. We were first linked that we had interest in Murray by Jake Fischer on the 18th. We closed the deal on the 30th.Here is a link to supes posting about Fischer mentioning. I looked before and no, no insiders mentioned it.
Once again, Debbie downer lol.

The Debbie Downers in this thread the last few days are an object lesson in why the insiders are often reluctant to share what they have heard. Some of you folks should be ashamed of your rude behavior.
I, for one, appreciate everything you fellas bring to the board that you've heard about, whether it comes to fruition or gets swept away in the wash of doing business.
Please don't stop on account of some unappreciative tools.

Player haters only: Trae back on the most overrated list. Murray and Bogi on the most underrated list

And by a guy who talks trash like Trae, while looking like Trae. And the nutmegs, and the foul baiting that embarrasses them.
Those are exactly the reasons.
