YESSSS...Wes is a perfect fit. Comon Dallas give it up lol

    No Gay please he's horrible.

So much fail. Matthews is done, even if his shooting is somewhat improving again(still only 39% FG%). He doesnt rebound well and plays iffy D allot of times because he moves stiff in those special Ed shoes. He also runs close to a one to one asissts to TO ratio and can not dribble. As also a longtime Dallas fan, it whas awful to see him play, knowing what he could do at Portland. Gay brings much much more.

  2. @Sothron

I carmelol'd. What positions Dwight whas having for playing Shaq u seen? If it whas that many it surely musnt be a problem to me show me some...anyway, they know they need to get the wings going otherwhise season is over. If just to trade them at an opportune time.

    Just reading this article...

Dumb, dumb, dumb.  Im sure the article also mentions his 5.3 assists a game and that he has only 1.6 TO's "as the little bit of everything he does". Horford is worth that money to the right kind of teams playing the right kind of ball, because his skillset is rare and crisp as f***. I for one would have loved to see him next to Dwight for that money, because he brings all the things to the table both Dwight and Sap miss and vise versa.

But surely we are tapping in the dark because that guy at the point.

Agreed. If Korver is in then utilize him on offense. At least have him run around some screens for the possibility of an outside threat.

Also, has anyone noticed that when Kyle cuts to the hoop for a layup( I've seen this 2 or 3 times this season) he usually scores. I understand this can't be our go to move but it could come handy on an out of bounds play in some possible late game situations.

Again, he whas "utilized". He just blew it and the team went for other options. Only normal.

  5.

    @lurker

I'm with you, especially when also Baze and Howard are included in the offense, which whas my point early in the season, while the bench whas playing familiar "budball" and people where already whispering for Delaney to become the starting PG, but I do believe korver can be a good back-up in the right line-ups. He has recently shown improvement to me.

  6. Just now, macdaddy sagte:

Korver didn't even take a shot in the 4th quarter.   If he's in there for his defense i think that's misguided.

Well, two of those TO's where plays to set him up for a shot. Surely I would rather have a good 4th than 1st quarter by him. All Im saying is he played good the rest of the game.

  7. Korver actually had a good game untill the 4th quarter and those 3 disaster TO's that cost us the game together with the two shots rimming out by Dennis and Muscala. Korver hustled on D, had 4 blocks, 5 rebounds and some great passes. With all his deficits these TO's where not Korver like(but yeah Lurker, prolly tired). Also thought Muscala whas subbed in to late in the 4th after that 6/6 run he had. To less time to warm up on the court before crunch-time. They all tried their best though with this line-up.

As far as Humphries goes: dont you guys see he runs like a little girl? On offense he can not catch up to the spots where he needs to be and if he doesnt grab the offensive rebound we are 4 on 5 on D. Thats why.

  8. I just want to make clear that Im not "blaming" Dwight. Im just saying that he is what he is and people shouldnt expect to much from him. That we need more talent and better chemsitry all together. Im a great fan of his rebounding and easy buckets and I enjoy that each game, fully knowing how we lacked that previous years. Yes, I actually enjoy each and any Dwight rebound. As much as the FT's going in..

  9. Dude, you are so hard to get trough. It has been said a thoudand times before: Dwight can not create for himself. Im sure Dennis could get him the ball 100 times a game, but it wouldnt be plays that got him his high FG%.

But I think ur rather just trying to be funny, acting flabbergasted, knowing fully well my post is truth and yours is about a parralell universe with the 80's pistons and banging bigs, knowing this time is(sadly) gone, but not liking this. But dont blame The Den.

Sorry to kick over your sacred Cow DS17... however, the truth is most nights... Dwight has a great size and talent advantage on the guy he plays and I watch your sacred cow come up the court, see D8's outstretched hand and pull up another jumper.   You were awfully quiet when people were questioning how Dwight could be money against  the Raptors on Thursday Night and Only get 6 attempts on Friday Night against the Hornets.  BTW.. in that game, with 6 attempts, Dwight was shooting 67%... while Your sacred cow put up twice as many shots as Dwight in roughly the same amount of minutes played.   I know.. I know.. it's the coaches fault right??  Coach called the play to tell Dennis to ignore D8.  Coach told Dennis to ignore the fact that D8 dominated the night before.   Yeah... I remember hearing that same thing for the last 3 years in the playoffs.  Now.. we have a dominant Post Threat and in a tough game playing 34 minutes... he gets 6 attempts??  What kind of world do we live in where dominant post threat gets 6 attempts and THJr gets 17?  Who is running the show?

BTW DS17... to look at what has happened with D8's touches.. it doesn't take Pat Riley, Phil Jackson, or John freakin Wooden to figure out.   Surely, your boy could have figured it out by now? I mean... he is the PG right?

"Talent" is not universal. It doesnt mean Dwight is talented as a go-to-guy. It isnt so that a great night vs the Raptor backcourt(their weakness) where as usual half his point came from offensive rebounds and other very situational scoring opportunities, translates in to the next night "planning" for doing the same, somewhat the same, or maybe even better. No, Dwights offensive plays will come and go as the situation seems fit. Thats actually what we need from him. To not whine about being a scorer, because he simply lacks "that talent". Do things on the PnR need to improve? Yes, and they tried and they tried with lots of loss. At some point(with a negative W record) they stopped that. And here is Dennis, toeing the line since losing almost 10 in a row, very rarely going "ISO" in the sense that that is his bread and butter. No, he takes very few shots, makes them and then some random dudes on the internet know it all better because it didnt happen after some circus passes around town. Because you know, Dennis actually has "that talent".

  11. vor 39 Minuten, Diesel sagte:

You can replace Russell with Dennis in this quote most games...

Wtf are u talking about again? What you quoted whas about miss-matches. Stop creating false myths. And yeah its on other squakwkers too that they believe in them. Just weird anyone takes you srsly. I hate fans like you, never in the whats going on in reality but always trying to find something negative. Dwight never whas a 1st or even 2nd option for the last almost 10 years. When they in the past actively went to feed him out of halfcourt situations it lead to TO's galore. Just stop posting already. Our problem is 115 points a game against us. And yeah your other whipping boy Horford has allot to dop with that, U know nothing about basketball, you just want ball-movement and rebounding for christmas. Well congrats.

  12. I said in the off-season that the Hawks will be a completely different team on both sides of the floor and that remains to be seen if that will be positive or negative. We really gave up allot in Horfords defensive team/court skills and got in return better in isolated areas of defense, on-ball PG defense and rebounding/rim-protection. I'd led to an allot more gutsy style of play, where we now dont gun and run back on defense, but actually persue offensive rebounds etc. And we lack the reliable cannon-power to stay scoring with good teams when our awful team-defense opens its legs to the opponent again and again. I have a sense it is kinda butched together, but its allot better basis to compete in the playoffs. Think we just miss a piece or two and some time.

  13. The bigs are not the raptors strength. They put everybody they had against him(Siakam, Bebe, Patterson + the Lithanian). And most his points came from offensive rebounds. They tried to involve Howard last night. They tried to hard those times and it lead to bad plays late in the clock because they could not get it going. Zeller really suprises me this season. Didnt think very much of him previous seasons. He's one irritating and smart player.

  14. Zeller is one of these guys you just love to hate. His screens for Kemba are perfect and he gets away with fouls in the post all game long. Though he ended with 5 fouls. He should have been out the game 3rd quarter really. But somehow Dwight gets all the attention. Damn I hate these guys.

And the story of the season just is that it is to easy to score on us. Our team has to dig deep multiple times over to keep on answering and then do it all over again the next game.

Howard and Schröder were great, eventhough Dennis had -17.

Always played with Both DeRozan and Lowry on the floor. Anyway, "ISODennisISO" waited till the end of the game to go "ISO". U know Diesel, when you have to run the clock down and defense is tight. I guess the radio gives you a bit more room for imagination. Its a great old thing that radio. I know it from way back before the internet and all sports where on pay-tv and from having no money. The enthusiasm of those guys. Its an art, I know. They make hero-ball even more heroic. But still, I can not get my self to put it on any more and since the games are aired at night where Im at, I watch them on reruns the next day, where you can do this thing called stop/pause and rewind, and actually look back at plays again. Oh man, its so interesting to see whats really going on.

Anyway, kudos to Howard for raping Canada and the wings all looked nice. Not sure what to think of Bud benching Thabo after that one blow-by though.

  16. I'd love to see Dwight doing good but all I see is Tyson Chandler two years ago impact wise(maybe even less)...a nice player to have along, but that needs to be around much more guys that are nice to have along and maybe some star player or two. Plus, it looks like next years wont be getting any better.

However we do needed his rebounding more than anything. Would love to have seen Horford with Howard.

The kid, 5 times a game at least, drives to the basket with his head down, finds himself among the trees and out of real estate and tries an emergency wrap around pass at the feet of a 7 footer. Dennis is playing like Allen Iverson right now and not Rondo. He is stuffing his own stat sheet at the expense of other players.  There is no universe where Dennis should be taking more shots a game than Paul Millsap or nearly as many shots as Howard and Korver combined (Dennis = 355, Howard+Korver=376).

A point guard needs to penetrate and at 10-12 feet from the basket know his options. In Dennis' head right now his options begin as: 1) quick underhand soft kiss of the glass, 2) giant killer off the glass 3) reverse of the glass, 4) drive through underneath and set it back up, 5) panic and find someone to bail me out.  The kid is lightning quick and this works for him pretty often, but its terrible basketball. It puts everyone out of position to get back on defense, leads to easy breaks the other way and frustrates your teammates.

You blame him for being good at penetrating and finishing. Some PG's have that quality. Most dont. Thats why. And what you speak of regarding "head down" etc is not happening "5 times a game at least". It surely happens but it happens less and less. What some of you dont understand, that it is like taking a three or any other kind of shot. Sometimes it doesnt fall and sometimes you run out of real estate. Dennis is still young and has that speed, so it is gonna be used. The team-mates not falling back on D and opponents scoring because of being caught by suprise or because of Dennis making a TO also happens maybe 2 times a game at max. But that again comes with the territory. Most the times his team-mates know exactly whats up and more often than the other way around they dont go or are not able to go where they are supposed to. Im looking at you Baze, Korver, Dwight. When I think Allen Iverson I think step-back jumpers and taking at least 5 shots more a game than Dennis. Rondo played with other people...and wasnt scoring...the "other people" did. You know, guys like Garnett, Allen, Pierce...

Anyway, if want to talk "stat-player" like Diesel tried on Dennis you should look no further than Diesel's beloved Dwight. Because Dennis is forced to do allot on his own, getting hurt while doing so and is hustling his ass of in depratments of the game you rarely get the common stats for. A complete reverse of the situation actually.

  18. How you can still blame Dennis for taking the shots that he takes is beyond me. For 90% it are good shots, taking what the defensive gives. One 12/19 Bucks game with one heat test is suddenly "170 lbs PG Isiah Iverson out there". GTFO with your nonsensical hating Diesel. The kid is doing his best for everyone and is the only toeing the line for this franchise atm. If you wanna start this "stats player" thing then look no further than your own guy...Dennis digs deep in to him self each game, flying across the court like a bowling pin, getting hurt each game, standing up again, sweating like a pig, while trying to communicate.. Can not say that about Howard. At all. Not that I excpect him to early in the season, but we have to get better right now. Only guy doing exactly that is Dennis.
