With how things get handled when we stick to competing and re-tooling.. Would you rather continue with this first round exit process and hoping someone wants to come to Atlanta (showing to be a resounding NO) or would you have rather Ferry cleaned house from the start when he got here and did the full rebuild job. I would much rather have just full on rebuilt because being stuck in between mediocrity and okay is just not doing anything to change perspective about this franchise. There's still FA left but after reading we offered Pau 11 mil and he turned us down I don't know what Ferry is doing or where we are going as a franchise.

Danny Ferry is mediocre, we all got hope when he was able to dump JJ and Marvin but outside of signing bargains.. He's failed on majority of his draft picks (Jenkins (he isn't special) Bebe, and we'll see how Schröder and Payne do But I don't really have faith Ferry is doing anything besides keeping us first round and done.

I have a question. If we are able to snag Deng. Would we be able to get a big men like Jordan Hill using the MLE or nah? Plus if Hawks sign Deng I'll take back the stuff I said about Thabo but we'll see

I agree to disagree, I've wanted a young wingman with upside since Joe has been gone and we've still yet to address that issue, sure DMC and Sefolosha are okay replacements but neither guy has the upside to even be a 2nd or 3rd scoring option on a good team, you aren't going anywhere past the second round with this. Maybe Ferry makes a trade or 2 that does, but until I see something different I just don't see the excitement of still being a good not great enough team to do anything. And this raises a bigger red flag for me cuz if Ferry thought Bebe was something special then a year later dumps him so we can get sefolosha and another role player when we couldve drafted Dieng or Tim Hardaway JR isn't good value at all

Deng plays twice as many minutes because he actually has earned the PT. You seem to forget that Thabo fell out of the rotation of the Thunder who don't even have a good bench, and you talk about declining but you forget to mention his awful 2014 shooting. For someone who was trashing the Hawks trading BeBe cuz we weren't gonna do anything special with it, if you think Thabo is special or worth that move, IDK what to even say to you then.

Thabo isn't half the player Deng is, let's be real for a minute, I'd rather spend the extra money on someone who is actually good then someone who is good at one thing (defense) and mediocre at the rest

Well if something like that happens I'd be happy, but having Thabo be ur first signing after you traded ur first from last year for it just spells underwhelming and mediocrity

Can we merge the two threads so we don't have to keep checking each other? I'll be on board with this move if a trade is on the horizon or something but if standing pat, HATE it.

I read this forum all the time but this is one thread I had to comment on. I have never seen so many people overreact to a trade. 2013 was a horrendous draft and Ferry tried to go to the pick and stash route. When he found out the person he got couldn't even put on weight without getting injured, the writing on the wall was with our second rounder. I understand complaining about "wasting your assets" but if Ferry is able to pull something like he did last year with Millsap 2/19... Wouldn't you consider that an "asset"? All I'm saying is wait and see what you do before going for Ferry's job
