The main things that stand out is Kenny's career example along with the idea of Jordan as a defender. Stats don't always paint the entire picture here, if you simply base of stats you are ignoring a player's will, heart, determination, luck, coaching system.
Even the Hawks today can prove this point. It isn't always about having the best stats, when you look at our roster you don't see superstar status because of stats. What you see is players who fit a coaching system that play well together!
