  1. He's a liability defensively, which means he won't be on the court late. With the Dwight signing cemented the needs are as follows: starting SF (score, defend, close?) wing scorer off the bench backup PF (Humphries mold) backup PG
  2. Thanks for listening and for the feedback @Spud2Nique @lethalweapon3the invitation is open for you to join us!
  3. Please, tell me more about this "old" Supes...LMAO
  4. I got a feeling if we trade up we'll draft a wing. A combination of one of the listed guys, the rookie (if he sees time), THJ, and whoever else we sign should Lee - 2-3 yr deal Johnson - Stopgap, take a flier on him Hill - see below Ennis - Wing depth, athletic guy, the Hawks actually drafted him back in 2013 and traded him to Miami on draft day. see below Henderson - Cheaper than Baze. Adequate stopgap Crabbe - We're on the same page. He's a RFA, but whoever signs before him will determine the market "The Below" - I'll turn the "is he a starter" question back on you. Was Bazemore a starter? It was a resounding no before the season. Bazemore's contributions can be replaced.
  5. Courtney Lee Wes Johnson Solomon Hill James Ennis Gerald Henderson Allen Crabbe All names I wouldn't mind pursuing. All would be paid less than Bazemore and have certain qualities better than him. I just feel like we don't have to acquire a top tier guy to get the same or better production than Baze gave us. The Hawks have done more with less ($$$ wise) every year Bud's been at the helm
  6. In hindsight, they won that Joe Johnson trade. We essentially traded Joe Johnson for Deshawn Stevenson and Mike Muscala

    680 the Fan

680 really got me into Sports Radio some 12-13 years ago. Now that I've gotten older and times have changed podcasts are the wave for me. Woj, Zach Lowe, Chris Mannix, The Starters, Hangtime, Bill Simmons, are all pretty encompassing for my NBA needs.
  8. We might as well call this the HawkSquawk Podcast the way yall have supported us! This episode, @NBASupesand I discussed tomorrow night's draft. We delved into the 21st pick and what direction the Hawks might go. An international draft and stash guy (Zubac)? An athletic wing (Prince or Bembry)? Or a developmental big man (Stone, Diallo, Zimmerman)? Supes also named a 2nd rd sleeper who he compared to Klay Thompson. Listen in, give us your feedback and please shoot me a message if you want to appear on our next episode. It'll be a post draft/Free Agency Preview. I want to have a member or two on.
  9. I don't know how I feel about this... ...please don't let these shoes look like the old Converse
  10. I've gotta echo @NBASupes . We're VERY appreciative of the support and feedback from everybody here on HawkSquawk! The majority of our listens thru Soundcloud have come from here. You'll see the suggested changes implemented in our next show. I texted Andrew a link to the thread and he took the jabs in stride Looking forward to having a few of yall on the show in coming weeks. You can subscribe, download, and stream the podcast on Soundcloud, iTunes, or Stitcher Radio. RSS Feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/Hawkset Stay connected with us on Social Media Facebook Twitter
  11. @JayBirdHawk Sorry we (@NBASupes) didn't post the podcast here yesterday, but here it is! We recorded Wednesday night after the Raptors loss Thanks Hawksquawk for the support! We're also on iTunes, Twitter (@HawksetPod), and I can send the RSS feed if you want to subscribe that way
  12. Forgot to post the podcast @NBASupes and I released yesterday. We recorded it right after the win against Detroit We discussed the strong play the past two weeks, the impact of Kris Humphries, Teague's resurgence, and finished up talking about the Eastern Conference playoff race. Supes also named a surprising team, "Worst Team in The Playoffs"....
  13. I'd definitely like to see a larger sample size and against better opponents. I'm optimistic about THJ's progress. But for the remainder of the year keep Baze in the starting lineup and Timmy on the bench I think Baze's potential price tag (I've heard upwards of $10 mil/per) means he'll be gone. Plus, with the way we can acquire a guy(s) and develop them who are younger, with similar skillset, and overall better talent, I think losing Baze won't hurt as much as everybody thinks it will.
  14. He just had to get acclimated to Bud's system and understanding TEAM DEFENSE. The NBA knew he had ability, he just never played in system basketball in New York. I hope he keeps the good play up and becomes a legit 2nd option off the bench along with Schröder. This is also an audition for next season...
