So record matters when you talk about the falcons going from 11 wins to 10 the next season but it is not that big a deal if the Hawks' record slides a bit over the last 2 years.10 wins in the nfl is like a 50 win season in the NBA. How many 50 win seasons do the Hawks have since 2004? Furthermore, this "inspiring" Hawks playoff run over the last few years has produced 2 seven games series against teams we should have beat in 5 and maybe the most embarrasing playoff series loss in NBA HISTORY! The Hawks have played inspired ball this season which has been quite refreshing for this particular core but stop overreacting to it. The ASG is about making money (or trying to not lose all their money). Blank is about trying to win. Nobody is gonna make the right call everytime when it comes to drafting or signing free agents but Ill take the guy with money to burn and you can keep the fools that tried to sell our beloved Hawks to a mexican pizza slinger.

Uh....the Hawks havent gotten better the last 2 years record wise. And they have exactly one GOOD playoff series win during this recent playoff run (Orlando). We haven't kept a draft pick in 2 years. And regardless of cap differences and roster sizes I would argue that Joe's contract is much more crippling to future Hawks teams than the trade to get Julio. I'd bet on the Coons to make an NFC championship game before the Hawks make an ECF.You know you'd be jumping up and down if Blank bought the Hawks from ASG.

Anyone who would take the ASG over Blank is crazy. As for the GM's, the Hawks' GM's with the ASG have seemed to be mere puppets while clearly (based on the Julio deal) Dimitrov has a much longer leash. Dimitrov is never going to win everyone over with the Julio deal. I liked it. Julio will be a great player in NFL, in my opinion. It took the Hawks 5 years to rebuild into a 2nd round playoff team. The Falcons made the playoffs the 1st year after the Vick BS. The Falcons have lost all 3 recent playoff games and in each case the team they lost to went to the Superbowl and 2 of them won the damn thing. The NFL's popularity dwarfs the NBA and I would much rather have a relevant NFL team than NBA.

I think the Bucks will win this one or atleast try to. Its always a little better ending the season on a winning note if you miss the playoffs.I actually like how the Hawks have been playing close, tight games that require our guys to stay locked in. We should be pretty sharp going into the playoffs because of it.

Joe did have the ball late in that one and couldn't shake shumbert and passed.I know Durant has been pretty clutch this year but I'd say joe is somewhere in the top 5 for this season.

I can see how that became confusing. Sorry. One was hypothetical (you know, the funny one about making it to the ecf). I don't think it matters what we do in the playoffs. He's gone. However, I have thought for a few years josh is our best long term player and I would have planned for his resigning because I truly saw a season like this one coming (one in which he became our best player). You did it again. I never said he was great. Can you provide some article or quote that states josh is specifically not working on his game in any offseason during his time in the atl. His attitude has alwsys been bad. So what. He' s not the first. This is all hypothetical anyway. As much as i like josh, i give the hawks zero chance of advancing deep in the playoffs and i expect josh to be traded around draft time.

If you listen real close you can hear Josh laughing at this thread. Dude is straight gone. He's done with this shitty organization and fan base. They chose Joe and went all out to get Al selected as an all star. What have they done for Josh? And thats exactly what they are going to get from him in any future negoitiation. NADA. Josh isn't giving a hometown discount. He isn't resigning either. I don't think there is ANY way he stays. On a positive note, there is still time to figure out who to blame for everything once Smoove is gone.

I cant stand KG. We are gonna need multiple C's to simply have a bad series. Whether it be a key guy staying in foul trouble or just losing his shot. It is a shame that the Hawks can't seem to be 100% healthy the last couple years in the playoffs.

Al stated that it would be risky to play but that he wanted to badly. LD said he would come off the bench if he was active.Zaza is concerning because LD said he was ahead of schedule yet still questionable? Sounds like it was worse to begin with.
