Hawks need to add Hump back.I like him more than Splitter and then a vet cheap point guard.

Well nows the time to make significant changes to the roster. Good time to see how pissed Ressler and others were when Hawks got swept vs Cavs. Ressler sounded pissed when the Cavs embarrassed the Hawks.

Forced hand means get off your 4$#sses and bring someone in here worth a darn.

Bud and the lousy ownership is the same as we had before. It's just the same package with a different wrapper.
Winning a title is not the goal. Throwing out top money to those2 chumps is the final nail.
Agree 100%

The Hawks can target Beal all they want, but he is a RESTRICTED FREE AGENT and Washington can match whatever offer he gets AND Washington has more cap space than Atlanta. Beal is a pipe dream. Please don't go blaming management when we don't get Beal.
My bad Beal is a restricted free agent. I would go after Noah would add toughness and fire to the club as well as rebounds.Hawks won't do it since Al is best at center however still doesn't solve the problem how do you outrebound Cleveland with their front line. Hawks need wings and some rebounding vs bigger clubs. The lack of scoring from Sap vs bigger players is a worry.

Target Beal.

Seems like the same BS from management. New off season new owner meet the old owners. Make some minor moves keep what you have and the result will be the same make the playoffs get bounced rd 1 or 2. Sounds like a broken record. I understand Hawks won't get KD but can't we at least make a splash and sign Beal. Beal is young altohugh injury prone. Just have him ready for the playoffs. Instead I hear talk of an aging Deng who won't be around for a few yrs at best and can he still put up numbers. Hawks should sign Beal and then go over cap with Horf. Cleveland does this yet the Hawks seem to be to stupid to consider adding young major talent.

Yes Hawks would be trying to fix the problem again.

No question this is what style the Nba has moved to but the Hawks don't have the outside shooters or ability to score in the paint when you need a bucket.

I like Denzel Valentine regardless of his injuries.

A good point about rebounding against a strong rebounding team but we won the rebounding battle in three of those Cavs games. I did watch those games. Just the same, someone needs to convince Bud that good minutes from Humph every night (not as a desperate measure in the playoffs) coming off the bench will win games where it counts. A few wins in the playoffs means more than a few wins during the regular season. Humph as part of the rotation should not be a big cost. Could and should be part of our rotation next year.
I agree about Hump why Bud didn't play him till it was to late is the million dollar question.Bud always reacts late in playoff game situations.

I don't have the figures in front of me but it seemed like the Cavs had many more second chances to score than the Hawks .Tristan Thompson was a man child vs our Sap/Horford duo on boards.
-
Remember how bad the Hawks got beat on the boards vs the Cavs.Keeping Sap and Horf together is a recipe for the same thing in the future.

Most of the Cav's free agents are past their prime and aren't the players we got to have to possibly get past the Cavs. The draft, trades and signing their home man child hero has been their recipe for a title and it has worked with a generational player in the likes of LeBron. We have to do what we can do without LeBron being here.
Bron and the Cavs will be tough to beat the next few seasons HOWEVER some team built the right will replace them at some point. Will the Hawks continue their same old lets just make the playoff ways or build the team to be a force in a few years when the Cavs become vulnerable.

Look at Portland they gave the Warriors fits.Their team is built for the long term better than the Hawks.

Sigh, this bullshit again. what big name free agent has Cleveland signed besides LBJ -Rhichard Jefferson?. all the big money contracts they gave to Love, Irving, Thompson, Shumpert, etc - they WERE CLEVELAND'S OWN PLAYERS which thye exceed the cap to resign, they DID NOT NEED to clear any capspace.
True the Cadavaliers are playing within the system. They sign good players below market because of Bron. The Warriors and Okc just outdraft most teams. The Hawks need to be among the leaders in the draft not just throw away picks.

Hawks always seem to be behind the 8 ball with their players.

Ain't about the front office right NOW my man. You need to see the posts that @JayBirdHawk made about how teams can manipulate their cap into an endless one if they sign their player to more than a two year deal.
Maybe the Hawks need to do the same thing?

Hawks management must feel otherwise. The hawks will be lucky to win 40 games this year.
Until Hawks management actually brings in some difference makers then they will continue to be a front office of mediocrity.I am really tired of the shell games this front office plays. If getting swept by the Cavs rge last 2 seasons in embarrassing fashion doesn't deserve change then nothing will.

Hawks are going nowhere bringing back Horford and Baze if that is what happens. We all know Hawks need alot more talent.

-
Hawks always have to clear cap space while the Cavs and Warriors always find ways to keep or add new quality players what's wrong with this picture.Hawks front office doesn't measure up.

Is this the same Al Horford who had like 1 rebound in a playoff game vs the Cavs. I always say you can tell how good your front office is during the off season.Teams like Okc can find a Steven Adams with the 12th pick and Golden State the Draymond Greens in the 2nd rd meanwhile the Hawks season after season blow draft picks year after yr and can't sign any top free agen ts to make a difference.

Yep hilarious...we end up with Hardaway great job Hawks management.

Show me Hawks that your serious about winning a championship.

It all comes down to how the Gm evaluates talent and makes the right pick.Right now the Celtics look to be the team built to dominate the east for the future.Philly right up there once they add a few more pieces and Simmons learns to shoot. Its going to take the Hawks 3-5 yrs of good drafting to compete at hopefully a championship.Just making the playoffs isn't good enough.
