i feel the same.

first of all, i want to say that i like Josh Smith. He, like Vick, brings excitement to their respective sports and to Atlanta.

however, heres the difference.

WINNING

When Mike came into the league, he was benched his first year. In year 2, as a fulltime starter, we had a magical season. We won games, went to the playoffs, beat FARVE at Lambeau Field and made history.

Unless Josh Smith takes us to the playoffs and gets us a victory, i dont see him making an impact like Vick.

You can criticize Vick for his low QB rating... but as a starter, we have a winning record w/ Vick as our starting QB.

you cant say the same about Josh Smith.

of course we're gonna lose w/ ACIE LAW as our starting center and Shelden Williams as our starting point guard.

1) does he still have game? I didnt keep up w/ the Dolphins at all last year.

2) would he consider us?

Its easy for us to make that call... but wat if you're arthur blank. Would you cut him? Just like that? After investing so much in him. Hes the face of the falcons. We all know what happens when hes out for an entire year. We become one of the worst teams w/o Mike Vick.

Trading him would be better. I think several teams wouldnt mind having Vick as their starting QB.

I think his first few years in Detroit really killed his confidence, motivation, love for basketball, etc.

Detroit gave him a hard time simply b/c they were a WIN-NOW team and at one point, im sure Darko just gave up.

Id go w/ Yi Jianlian. I like his game and i think he'll be a future hall of famer.

jk jk..! lol. hahaha.. sorry, i couldnt resist. But uhm, i probably go w/ JORDAN. But you certainly couldnt go wrong w/ any of the players you just mentioned.

PS- sorry, i had to do it. i actually like Yi. But w/ all the negative Yi talk around here, i just had to do it.

finally! a contract that makes sense.

When you have backup 1 dimensional players getting $5-6 million a year contracts, this one sounds pretty darn good for the bobcats.

Several fans here already have 1-8 spots reserved for certain teams. In my opinion, the 7th and 8th spots are wide open for any team in the east.

He caught my eye as well. The guy pushes the ball up similar to nash. I havent seen too much of him but thats what i noticed so far.

I like Sun Yue? of the chinese team as well. Hes a point forward and does all the little things well. If he can shoot, he can be a good player for the lakers. If not, then hes Boris Diaw part 2.

yesterday, Yi played against good competition and he looked like a lottery pick out there. His offense was as good as advertised and his defense needs some work. But the fact that he doesnt back down from a challenge makes him a great prospect. If his D does improve (and Yi seems like a fast learner), then he looks like a future allstar.

People here pick apart Yi's game. ACTIVELY SEARCH for any weaknesses in his game, while ignoring Kevin Durant's horrible offensive day (which is his speciality b/c hes not exactly known for his Defense) and Oden's unspectacular statline.

Prior to the draft, i wanted either Yi or Horford. I had a hard time choosing. Now that the draft is over, naturally- i want Horford to do well. I hope Horford is an allstar in the making.

That being said, i dont wish for Yi to be a BUST. Y would i? I hope he does well in the NBA. I really do.

Only time will tell who is better... Horford vs Yi.

Summer league gives you an idea of how far you are in terms of DEVELOPMENT and show your potential/game to the all the GMs in the league. Thats about it.

Yi's footwork is QUICK! if he works on his defense, he could be a great player in the NBA.

yeah, ive looked at the games list. not a big fan of the games they have. I like playing SPORTS games (gotta have my MADDEN and a basketball game) w/ a few action and adventure games.

but i figure the games list is pretty weak b/c the system is brand new... i think if we give it some time and it'll be ok.
